The gun is very cool, a few thoughts however: The price is far too high for what you're getting (reasons below) The breakdown is overly complicated which makes it seem like only a toy as opposed to practical use of any type Competition shooting at that price you could buy a great gun, like a shadow 2 and your full rig plus a few thousand rounds to practice with and be better served. And in modified you could modify your guns to outperform it for less. The gun is wasted on 9mm. The recoil reduction system should be used with a 10mm round, give the gun a practical application as 9mm has such a light recoil as it is. Until the price drops and they come out with a useful firearm I'll stick to my CZ's
The price is reasonable for limited 1st run, man. Those are already collectibles. I agree, that the gun is basically for competition along with Berretta X or Shadow 2. However, I could see military express interest in a pistol, that has fixed, low bore barrell and little muzzle flip.
@@OkurkaBinLadin I agree on the engineering principles. I think they're a fantastic idea that needs to be borrowed and widely implemented. My argument is just because something is rare does not mean it is valuable. This lacks any real purpose and as such it cannot equal that value placed on it
When Ruger, Smith, Hell even Glock remakes this low barrel, I'll buy one.. Obtaining parts for this Gen 1 Unicorn of an amazing pistol will be impossible, at best, in the future. @ $5k a gun (I get it, it's the signature line) this is nothing more than a Rich mans, "DMD". If they were at $2,000 I might save and buy one, but they will never be that low, IMO. This is will I'll wait, if this is such amazing technology, it will inspire a whole generation of new guns to be made. The principal behind the low barrel is incredible. The inverted slide is amazing. What would be even more amazing is if the made the barrel and slide move in opposite directions as a counter balanced handgun. Talk about a flat shooter at close range. Felt recoil would be ZERO. I really hope this inspires a whole new wave of handguns for the future.
Any company can fail, but it should be pointed out that Hudson was a new company that suffered from bad subcontractors and poor planning; whereas Laugo has been around awhile and they do their own manufacturing.
ostiariusalpha and furthermore the Hudson 9 was nothing more than a glock copy with a frame weight and 1911 esthetics. It did not have very low bor axis. The alien on the other hand really does have a super low bore axis.
@@antonw-uw4ov There isn't a single thing on the H9 that has any connection or throwback to a Glock. Have you ever actually fired one? I won't go to defend the Hudson's failings with the whole mess but the gun does shoot & handle well.
No it's not really things that glock invented but rather "popularized". The Barrel locking and the locking block is very "glockish" wich is why it has basically the same bore axis offset. The slide and fire control group is not really a copy but again: same exact solution and operation and almost the same layout of parts, especially in the slide. And i will admit i have never fired a Hudson, a dealer close to me had one but no one in know wanted to pay 2000$ for it as it was just as Hudson went bankrupt. I have however fired an alien several times and there is no doubt when you take it appart that the bore axis is lower than most every other pistol. But i honestly think the difference between a low bore axis like a glock or a super low like an alien is pretty minute even though it's noticeable, for sure not worth the 4000$ price difference.
This is excellent and innovative gun (same like HK P7 or Steyr GB80). But the Laugo Arms greediness concerning the price is greatly exaggerated. This gun is produced in Czechoslovakia, Denmark or Switzerland are countries with high labor costs. Czechoslovakia doesn't have high labor costs at all, also the fact that the gun are factored mostly by CNC machines. The price are for me ridiculous and not acceptable.
It's a pro race gun for IPSC production. People are going to buy this. A lot of people? No. But that's why it's so expensive. It's basically a boutique shop match gun.
I got #124. The best I got is 10 rounds before jam. Shot over 500 rounds . Waste of money. Lancer will not reply to me. I think they are over weld with complaints.
It would have nice if you talked about shooting and how it performed! It’s a firearm hardly anyone in the US, UK etc has any access to let alone know anything about. C’mon man! 😬

Competition shooting at that price you could buy a great gun, like a shadow 2 and your full rig plus a few thousand rounds to practice with and be better served.
This lacks any real purpose and as such it cannot equal that value placed on it
looks like the salient arms strike one, strike a and strike b
So here me out...
Extended threaded barrel in 45acp. Please. Paired with an OSS Suppressor
Please don’t be a Hudson.
John Browning already perfected the wheel and for a lot less, 6000 for a pistol made for aliens...
It's a pro race gun for IPSC production. People are going to buy this. A lot of people? No. But that's why it's so expensive. It's basically a boutique shop match gun.
I'm gona get hammered and take a cruise. See ya in the next episode, "guns of the afterlife".
I got #124. The best I got is 10 rounds before jam. Shot over 500 rounds . Waste of money. Lancer will not reply to me.
I think they are over weld with complaints.
Sorry you had those problems Rick, but fellow owners stepped in and helped out. Glad so far it is working for you now!
Looks similar to the archon type b
It would have nice if you talked about shooting and how it performed! It’s a firearm hardly anyone in the US, UK etc has any access to let alone know anything about. C’mon man!
😬
What is the MSRP on those guns?
Insanely high i think its over 4 grand
$5500usd
Nice looking gun. But at $5k+ good luck selling it.
Looks like they didn't have that problem
Is there gonna be Alien Rifles? Come on make it.
The looks are just wow. Future. Wonder how it shoots
Круто! Кто говорил, что в конструкции пистолетов ничего принципиально нового уже придумать нельзя?
Dammit I want a beer now.
Almost 5000 Euro ..Crazy
Details.
Essa é máquina!!
This gun is disgustingly sexy and brilliant.
Can you imagine a carry version of it around $1000 one day?
I wouldn't buy 1, I would buy 3!
All I have to do is sell my Corvette, and I an get one too.
