    This is a good kit, top quality. I was pleased to find that the LED bolt is now coming with a plug attached instead of cutting off the one from the stock plate illuminator and reattaching it to the LED bolt.

      Thanks for the kind words Jamie! It's a bit embarrassing by the standards of our new video's, but it paved the way to better things. We're glad to hear it's still doing it's job and helping with peoples installations though.

    Deal told me I would have to attach extra wiring for the setting to reach the back of bike once re routed

    • @MustardBikes
      @MustardBikes  3 роки тому

      Hi Mark, not at all the case. If you undo the wiring all the back to the main frame, you are left with enough length to re-route under the tail.
      If you think about it, in very simple estimations, the distance from the centre of the motorcycle to the back wheel is approximately the same as from the centre of the motorcycle to the rear tail light. If your dealer is fitting extra wire they are not installing this product correctly.

    • @MustardBikes

  • @Echo4Yankee

    Thank you. I got a tail tidy from R&G and the directions are 80% pictures and not a visual learner lol. I almost returned it because of the directions alone. I've never removed the rear wheel before. Am I going to have to mess with it to remove that ugly ass bar over the back tire?

    • @MustardBikes
      @MustardBikes  3 роки тому

      Hi David,
      You can get away with not having to remove the rear wheel, but you may need to redo your chain tension.
      This product is a fairly involved install, but with patience and using this video along with the written manual most people should be able to het the install done.
      We are always happy to help via email too if you were to get stuck during the install.

    • @Echo4Yankee
      @Echo4Yankee 3 роки тому

      Wow, that's great to hear you're willing to help. I've been riding for a few years but I never really work on my bikes other than bolt on stuff. I'm afraid to mess with the rear wheel too much. I don't want to mess up the alignment or tension or both. Thanks.

    • @MustardBikes
      @MustardBikes  3 роки тому +2

      @@Echo4Yankee chain tension is relatively easy, and if you wind both adjuster bolts on either side the same amount of turns in or out the alignment should stay true. You can double check it with the axle block markings.
      Its worth learning to do and other than the adjustment no more tricky then bolt ons.
      Wheel removal is the same deal, although refitting it can get quite fiddly. Being able to work on your own bike is a great skill to have!

    Will this fit my new 2018 MT09 SP and if so what size would I need to order for the UK size number plate?

    • @MustardBikes
      @MustardBikes  6 років тому

      Hi there, yes this will fit the 18 SP. As for size this will depend on your number plate width. Feel free to email us directly with the width of your number plate if you prefer.

    • @potsykate
      @potsykate 6 років тому

      Thanks, will do once I get the bike. I'm sure it will come with the standard UK size plate.

  • @dodgeskitz87
    @dodgeskitz87 7 років тому

    The 254mm option seems overkill for my 215mm south aus plate size.

    • @MustardBikes
      @MustardBikes  7 років тому

      Hi there. The product is designed so the stalks are as short as possible for the maximum size plate it's designed to fit. For a 215mm plate on the 254mm option, the indicator stalks would only stick out 20mm per side. Unfortunately with the 186mm options your indicator lenses would be obstructed by 15mm either side.

    • @dodgeskitz87
      @dodgeskitz87 7 років тому

      Are the widths measured from each indicator mount?

    • @MustardBikes
      @MustardBikes  7 років тому

      No, the widths are measured from the edge of the lenses. If you have a 254mm plate on the 254mm version, the lenses of the indicators will be at the edges of the plate, and the indicator stalk will be hidden behind the plate.

    What is the approx install time?
    Do you need a torque wrench for the axle block?
    Cheers

    • @MustardBikes
      @MustardBikes  7 років тому +1

      Hi there, for someone with no experience install time would run to approximately 1- 1.5 hours. A dealership or experienced mechanic familiar with the bike should be able to have it fitted in 30 minutes. A torque wrench while beneficial is not required for the rear axle, so long as common sense is used and the axle nut is tightened well and checked after a short period of time.

    • @MsChrisep

      @@MsChrisep 2.5 hours is a bit steep but they may be playing it safe with the quote of they haven't fitted one of ours before. That said, nothing like working on your own bike!
