Confirming this fits my 2024 MT09 in the US for those tuning in.
Thanks for the confirmation, and thanks for the support!
@luci-vl6 did you go with the 186 mm option for US.
Cheers
@@jasonwillette7386 I did, yes. The 186 is the correct size for US plates.
Wish I had this video a couple days ago when I did mine lol
Always the way. Hope you got the install sorted without to much pain regardless.
why is the license plate at a 45 degree angle? Is it adjustable or something?
It is slightly less than 45 degrees, which is the maximum plate angle allowed for Australian Design rules.
@@MustardBikes The stock bracket is 90 degrees and looks fine, so why change it to a 45 degree angle? I think it looks bad.
@@Brian-nz6ns that is your opinion. Our customer base that allows us to stay in business obviously disagree. Ultimately everyone has a different view and you are under no obligation to purchase our products.
I’m watching this as if I own this bike
I did 950mil already and now i can blaze the streets 😊
What was the design decision around the choice to mount it so high up? As an Australian I love supporting Australian companies (I have already got and installed your rear peg delete kit) but I can't bring myself to get the tail tidy because it mounts so high and feels like it obscures a portion of the taillight which looks a bit visually disharmonious to my eye.
To make it as short as possible while retaining clearance with the back wheel.
If you go too short or too low you can risk interference with the back wheel at full suspension travel.
The tail tidy does not interfere with the tail light itself and there is full visibility of the tail light from behind.
Just installed this on my 2024 MT-09 today. It looks great and everything fit perfectly. This video is one of the best installation vids I've ever seen.
Thank you for a great product.
Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear you had a great experience with our product.
Very clear video but it would have been nice if you had shown the tail tidy when fitted. Its the way it looks thats the reason for fitting it.
Asking for all germans, is it 30 degree or more, for the legal Part 🖖🏼
I cant wait to get my 24 mt09 this may just be the tail tidy of choice when it turns up espiecially being an Aussie company
You'll love the new bike Nathan. Ready when you are and thank you for considering us and supporting Aussie owned and manufactured.
Great stuff mate!
Might I suggest a lapel mic to improve the audio and remove the echo from the room for future videos.
Worth its weight in gold!
We have one on it's way! We have a lot of sound deadening in the room, but it still wasn't enough.
We also have a remote monitor on the way to help set the focus a bit better as a few shots didn't come out as expected. It's a continual learning process and constant improvement for us and our film guy, who took this on without any prior experience.
Looks great and now I see where I can form and mount plates for a grab rail
Do you know if your kit fits the USA 2024 Yamaha MT-09 ?
Hi, yes it does! We have already sent numerous to the US in the first batch.
@@MustardBikes I can confirm this fits. I installed mine only two days ago.
Thank you so much for making this! Great step by step, saved me some time 🙌🏼
@@oliverhagvall4641 glad it helped!
which tank grips are those? i need some more bite on my tank
@@predalienftw installed by the dealer. Unfortunately we don’t know which brand.
Is the angle of the license plate adjustable?
Hi there,
Unfortunately the angle is not adjustable.
Brilliantly presented Mark! A film star for sure⭐️👌
😆I hope you watched till the end and saw the bloopers
😂
Looks good...
Went to your site, no 2017+ R6 one... 😐
Unfortunately we never got a hold of a 2017+ R6 to develop from. We did look for one, but with no luck locally.
Do you have an estimate for shipping to the USA? I'm contemplating getting this. TIA.
We have a flat rate of AUD$30 (around USD$20) for international shipping. Hope that helps!
I am from WI, USA and bought one. Shipping took 7 business days. Hope this helps
@@Telesk1er great to hear! That is a pretty good turn around to the US!. We generally advise 10-20 days depending on your exact location (obviously remote areas can take longer hence the large difference in time).
It’s legal for Europe?
@@lightpes4956 this is designed with Australian design rules in mind. ADR are very similar to euro rules, however you would still need to check with your local rules to see if it would be compliant.
Hi, is this EU approved?
This is designed to ADR guidelines, which are very similar to EU rules, but it is not specifically approved.
Any info about the SP?
This will fit the SP as well. Hope that helps.
Where are those tank pads from?
@KjKase, these were fitted from the dealer and we suspect are genuine Yamaha items.
@@MustardBikes weird, I went to my dealership here in Canada and they said that Yamaha doesn't sell the side tank pads for the MT-09.
@@KjKase indeed. I do wonder if they might be from the earlier model? Or maybe they just fitted aftermarket ones. As mentioned they were fitted at the dealer, so we unfortunately don't know much about them.
Thank you brotha 🫡 you make it easier for me
Glad it helps!
