If you're missing the holidays, no worries we've got you covered. In this video, we're leaving Port Gamble to cruise down the Hood Canal between Washington State's Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. The route is loaded with beautiful scenery and even a military base known for having lots of submarines in the area. Sadly, there weren't any subs this trip.
We also get to enjoy some marina time at one of our favorite spots here in the Pacific Northwest, The Alderbrook Resort & Marina. It's a perfect place to enjoy Christmas and all of the beautiful surroundings.

I am from down under, watching your show and enjoying it. Most of the time, while I am putting myself to sleep, I think I am on board and imagining me and my wife and my children on board of that beautiful cozy motorised boat of yours. :-) What a fantasy yeah :-) anyway, good luck and we are enjoying it, and all the best.

On our commercial fishing boat we used a coffee can to cover the exhaust stack.
In my earlier life I worked in the Kellogg’s facility in San Leandro California as an outside contractor, I’d smell like Corn Flakes all day.

007 is a highly trained skipper that does not require shoes. At anytime he must be able to jump into the water to save a passenger or crew member, or stage a attack on a enemy submarine with his scuba gear. We had some friends that had a house on the canal. I was also in the canal, in a row boat!! Of course that was before you two was born!! My brother and I grew up on the west side of the peninsula, and took a trip a couple years ago, all the way around.

Aside from being a clutz putting on your exuast cover.(chuckle chuckle),I'd like to suggest attaching a long lanyard to your cover for tautly tying it to something secure,as to prevent it from blowing off from any high forcasted winds.😇

We used to but not anymore since we go through it enough and have heard mixed reviews about doing that.

On the second hole with friend, smell something electric, hot. He said take cart back to clubhouse, get another cart. I parked it alone away from building, told attendant. He was busy, I told him it smelled hot. He gave me keys to another cart. On the 7th tee now, see black smoke by clubhouse, hear siren. After front nine ,see firetruck, cart gone, pile of ashes and tow axels

I used to live in the Poconos in a resort area where golf carts were a common mode of transportation along with boats . Some interesting stories can evolve with carts n drinking. Curious to hear your golf cart story.

Oh boy! Cap'n Sully struck gold! Any update on his XO (Executive Officer, from my Navy days)? Also, golf cart story, yes, spill it, and your house sounds like my house back in the day. While my wife from back then is no longer with us, she was a peace loving, very gentle lady who did not believe in taking prisoners. If one of those cougars was to attack us or her dogs then may God help it. She was fearless. Im glad she loved me Lol. I am guessing there might be a little of that in Elizabeth? Genuine sweetheart, gentle as a lamb until... well until she isn't? Be safe, and have fun.

Nice opening sequence with Elizabeth against the grey fog and the sunrise reflected in her mirror sunglasses. I have a question: I've always wondered how practical the upper bunk Nordhavens have in the pilot house is. Do you use it on longer passages?
We don’t because it’s just the two of us and one can have the more comfy bench, but Shawn did try the upper watch birth once this summer and said is wasn’t bad even for his 6’3” frame!
