Like you, I have only been out on the opener in Squim bay for crab and only twice for shrimp in the canal. 😢 I come from the East Coast where we cook our crab with beer, Old Bay and a little bit of vinegar. Big difference is when you sit down to a crab Feast with Dungeness versus Blue Claw you don't sit at the table as long.😊 Boat name: "Crabzilla"
