Your helping to keep rock guitar relevant, and teaching classic tunes to the younger generation, which are so much better than the scree that the music industry is putting out today. I'm 59 and enjoying the songs that you do!
The guitar has a beautiful sustain, great tone too
I agree your lesson are the best; great teacher and wealth of info. Thanks for helping so many of us.
Best guitar instructor on you tube by a mile. Thanks for posting.
Andre, you’re so good it’s ridiculous! I remember when this album came out! Loved it then, still love it today. Thanks
Nice job again. I recently saw both Edgar Winter and Rick Derringer live. They still put on a good show.
I just started digging through your videos. I am impressed. Thanks for your work. I threw a new paypal at you.
As I hope everyone that are making song requests are also doing.
Your tutelage is really ...fine to follow...and you convey the technical aspects great...keep it up...it’s great🎸🎸🎸👍👍👍👍
Thanks for all of your videos! Your instructional lessons are superb! Keep it up my friend.
Good to see you're making a go of it. Keep it up!!
WOW/your just the best , thanks for your teaching and time
Thanks man! You really break things down very very well. And you sound superb thanks again.
Everyone keeps saying rick Derringer, that's Ronnie Montrose on the album doing the licks.
Hey man your are just the best! I love your demeanor and style of teaching.....what a great asset you have become to the guitar community!
Superb!!
Thanks!!
buddy thank you that was great thanks for the extra great teacher !
Nice lesson.
Oh yeah. Btw. Rick played a gibson hollow body when they did the WhiteTrash Roadwork album.
To this day, I still get chills when he solos in "Back in the USA". Id like to see what you can do with that.
nice job. Could you do a tutorial for bohemian 3 step by Bruce Cockburn?
Would you be willing to do Achilles Last Stand? It's pretty easy there are just a lot of parts.
Ronnie montrose did the solo why all the talk about Derringer?
Great stuff. Have donated to,your channel. Simply awesome. You mention the tones in the description but can’t see it? Can you, direct me to the tone description?
Awesome lesson, Can you do a video for the guitar solo and rhythm parts for Journey's "Faithfully"?
+Watchman4u Very true.
And with all due respect to Eddie VanHalen, he's not the creator of tapping as some would like to believe. I get this feeling Rick Derringer was kindly putting him in his place after Ed did "Beat it" guitar track for Jackson. At which Rick did his version of the parody "Eat it" for weird Al. Which in my opinion blows rings around Eds. I think Ed has forgotten how long Ricks been playing, not to mention the styles hes played.
But its even more classy how Rick did it, by using a parody. Kinda like "this is just funnin around stuff to me. Been there, done that".
A tutorial of dilettante by St Vincent please!!
Great job as always on these vids. Just curious, what is your string gauge go-to for this Les Paul? Looks comfy!
There's a link to my gear page in the description box below each video. I list everything I use there. Cheers
Please Do Gino Vanelli-I Just Wanna Stop your magical!!
Have you ever considered a tutorial for a Hendrix song? Would love to see Wind Cries Mary or Little Wing for example
what gauge strings? Great Job!
While you're doing Derringer stuff, how about showing the intro to "Beyond the Universe". Thats one I just cant ear. I can figure the key out from there.
If I remember correctly, Dan Hartman and Rick both played guitars on this track. The bass was synthesized. The only reason I remembered it was I was curious as to how they were going to mix the lead intro with the rhythm intro. Sure enough, Dan started the rhythm. At the end of the chorus, Ricks guitar came in with the twang itwang itwang itwang twanalang twang. Lol
Nope i was wrong. Dan played Bass and guitar.

jesus man what did you practice to be this good i really want to know?
I think in one of his videos he said he's been playing for 30+ years and has a great ear for songs.
I'm just glad he makes these videos, they're my favorite online lessons out of all the ones out there.
I have a similarly good ear for music, but I don't know how to make some of the sounds with the guitar, and these videos are always super accurate.
sounds nothing like it when you put it together??
Doing my own thing, usually means....oops...🤐
