Brother, I love your taste in music - I can't think of a song you've covered that wasn't one of my absolute favorites. - Nice job yet again! Oh - and you offer insight into the theory I don't find a lot of places - thanks again.
Marie Robinson 75° in San Diego...come on down and play for the New Year's Eve crowd...if you put a hat out, they put money in it...if you play good of horse.
Juan A yeah I'm a few hours south of Chicago. 4° f (-15° c) lots of snow. I'm probably not good enough to make spare change ;) but I've been writing songs that I think are pretty good. Wish I was a better player to do them justice. I learn more techniques with every tutorial though. Happy New Year
Marie Robinson I was pretty darn good, but then was sick for 14 years, so I'm definitely working on my music too. Consistency is the key. Happy New Year as well.
Juan A I'm sorry you were sick for so long. I know how hard that is. I was diagnosed with RA in 2008. There are days I can't play but at least there are more days that I can play!
Juan A I just discovered a guitarist who had a stroke when he was 3 and lost the use of his left arm. ua-cam.com/video/VfFkmLm5qz0/v-deo.html He's amazing
A friend of mine showed me this channel yesterday. I have to say, for players getting out of the easier songs looking to challenge themselves even further, this is the place to go. Over the last 24 hours I've improved significantly with my playing skills. Thank you so much for the time and effort you've put into your videos. It helps so much! Happy New Year
Really nicely done. You really got the melody and that bass line married nicely for solo acoustic guitar. I didn't know that they (Lennon/McCartney) collaborated on this song that way, though that certainly accounts for the contrasting sections and differences in the song's structure. Again, really nice transcription. I'll be humming that melody all day. Thanks.
I keep playing this over and over. You have created something in Lennon's very spirit and intent. I just love your style of playing and am wish I could hear what you hear so that I could pick up on all the nuances, not only of this song but of so many others that you play on Shutupandplay. I donate regularly and am a fan!
Man,I love your videos,it seems you play everything I like.Being born in 71' and growing up in that era makes you appreciate good music.Hope you continue, HAPPY NEW YEAR.
This is excellent. Not only this song.. your entire site. You do a fantastic job on these songs. I started playing fingerstyle I guess once hit my fifties where I used to play mostly mainstream blues based rock and roll.. although I am also a big Richie Blackmore fan and play a lot of his classical based music. I wish I'd started fingerstyle earlier. These songs transfer over really well to acoustic. Well done.
You always do such a great job of playing and explaining. A gifted fellow for sure. I put my guitar down for about a year and not sure my fingers can do the 4 fret stretch but I'm gonna give it my best. Thanks for all of your work. Have you done a video on "Mood for a Day" by Steve Howe? I've worked on that for many years and always stuggle. I think that would be right down you alley.
Hey !! Love your stuff man. Could you please do a John Prine finger picking tutorial? My personal favs are "Fish and Whistle" along with "Illegal Smile" but I like em' all so dealers choice!! Thanks!
Hello sir, thanks for all your tutorials and songs in general. Is it possible to teach This old guitar by Neil young in a drop d tuning? Thanks so much
Great job as always ... after watching your videos , i cant look at other tutorials cause your's sounds perfect! I would lie if i say i didnt want some TABS but its good either way. Thank you for your hard work ! Is there any chance you can do a fingerstyle version of TOTO - AFRICA ? would love to hear and learn yours.
John wrote this about Tara Brown , who was killed in a car accident at 21 years old. He read the newspaper and came up with “I read the news today,oh boy”
Great arrangement, clever tuning! Could you allow us to download the backing track (or point us to it if you got it off the net)? (Same request for your other lessons, too!)
Wow, excellent, you have great style,im wondering if the shut up and play guitar is from Zappa 🤔, would love to hear you do a version of son of orange county.✌️
My favorite Beatle song of all time. John Lennon's best harmony ever made
Man all your demos of the song are seriously well mixed and produced!

Most guitar's can take this tuning..like it reads in his print out if you have old strings they may brake..have no fear..
That's why God made capos...
Incredibly sweet, wish I had CD of you playing tunes like this.
You are a master My Friend. Beautiful and incredible attention to detail.

I'll tune my burner guitar for this song.
