      @labyrinth999 7 років тому +41

      Doomsealer of course, there is not wrong with anything you, or others mention :-) I just love the music of these guys and by the things I wrote I meant, the music has proven itself without imagery (visual help of any kind) and is and will be around for decades. I am sure, we can not say this about any or all music and I deeply respect such kind of pure art.

    • @5ub2ero
      @5ub2ero 6 років тому +11

      While I agree with those aspects martin huba counted above, unfortunately, back in the day, this manner comes with a heavy bill. Having hard times to fund the tours, concerts and probably in the end causing Chuck Schuldiner to pass away with many financial problems. Just because they weren't a mainstream band and didn't have sufficient PR, marketing and fancy things involved with Death. =(
      In this world, success is not always directly proportional with the personalities behind it and it is not always rewarded the way it should be. =/
      RIP Chuck...

      how can you be in a death metal band without ever using drugs, thats so crazy to me. In my opinion, drugs and metal go hand in hand. chuck speaks like he smokes a lot of weed tho lol

    • @renderriggs5042
      @renderriggs5042 Рік тому +33

      Well Chuck actually said in one interview that he smoked weed - but it's not that there's something wrong with it. Anyway, I agree with the main point - everything that I've learned about Chuck through countless interviews, be it his own or of others who knew him - is that he was such a great man, real human being - no jokes.

Gorefest, Unleashed, Cannibal Corpse, Carcass (Necroticism - my favourite metal album) and finally this interview with Schuldiner. After the break, Roadrunner special. Obituary, Sepultura and Deicide live!!! Those were the days when MTV was a true music channel.

    I just read Al Jourgensen's new book (which wasn't really that good) but in the book Al was talking about how much drugs he was doing and management never gave him a hard time about it and that management said Al is worth more dead to them than alive, I just though that was such a disgustingly greedy comment. I really hate my fellow man. I hope whoever owns the Death name isn't getting rich because Chuck earned every penny he ever made, just an incredible human being RIP Chuck you are sorely missed by a lot of people and a huge inspiration not only as a guitar player but just a cool honest dude.

    its so hard to find good live videos of death from the "individual" and "symbolic" tours. such a shame since those are my two favorite albums, and the lineups were destructive. they really didnt have much in terms of live footage until "perseverance."
    chuck was so angry and driven in 1993, a la mustaine around the time of "rust in peace." i think it comes through the music. its so badass. he had calmed down by "symbolic," which seemed to put him at peace, but kinda took the edge off of his attitude a little bit.
    i wish this whole "full of hate" festival tour would have been recorded. MTV had footage, obviously, but i havent seen it anywhere else yet. theres a cool show of them in detroit, but thats the best ive seen.

    I was there on the Hamburg Sankt Pauli Show. I remember i saw a wall of drum sticks and behind the wall i saw sometimes gene smiles like the pause image at Minute 0:36

    I saw that tour. Great souvenirs. After, from '96 i stopped to go at metal gigs ''cause the sphere changed to much...

    @jeffrielly Interesting, I wasen't aware of it's origins. Thanks for the brief background on that. I just find it odd that the condition itself didn't seem to exist until it was given a label much later on. They tend to do this with everyone that's a little eccentric these days. I don't find it to be a "disorder" at all. I think Chuck was simply an individual and an amazing talent.
