great memories there, and classic ending...leave it to the hunters as usual! even funnier at the end when everyone asks what went wrong and one guy just says "most everything lol"
I remember this video when It was launched. It was, at least for me, the video that kept me playing since lower lvls Just to see the Balrog. It was the symbol of high lvl content for me. Another one was about Orthanc and Saruman. I miss those days.
Lotro was an awesome game. Yes, I say "was" because the latest expansions suck (and especially the latest one). They could have chosen a much BETTER path for the game. It started off amazing. Still... I will never forget this awesome raid instance. I've tried it like 10 or more times with friends until we finally made it.
I wish theyd be able to do legendary server that was actually the old gameplay, not the current game level-locked. Kinda like how everquest 2 is finally managing to do a TLE server set to 2006-era gameplay, or how WoW classic was.
Classic LOTRO instance. BTW, there's UI options that allow you to only show dispellable effects (ie, clear all the buff clutter from everyone's UI). Prevailing wisdom is that this fight, Vile Maw instance and Tower of Orthanc rank pretty high on LOTRO's awesome scale.
It doesn't have any level restrictions, but you need to buy quests after lv32 or so. You have the option to grind exp without questing, but even better is that you can buy these quests using Turbine Points, wich can be won ingame without a lot of effort.
You can get to level cap for free. All of the Epic (main storyline) quests are free, as are the first 5 zones (which should get you comfortable to 30ish). After level 30, you'll either have to grind or shell out real money. But it is definitely possible to get to cap without spending a dime - you can earn all the Turbine points you need in-game.
Its cheaper to spend 10$ a month to become VIP then spend 8-15$ per quest pack. Because is your VIP all quests packs are unlocked except the ones that require expansions that you don't have.
have you migrated your account from codemasters?you had to when lotro changed hands,if u didnt do it then,ur account is probably deleted i think.try opening a thread in the forums or sending a ticket
This MMO has such potential, all they need to do is tweak it a little and maybe update the combat and graphics, also don't play this without friends it gets boring real fast, also make sure you have lots of money for all the pay gates, unless you sub to it.
damn. sick graphics.this game has. great game i suggest that everyone try it. wow is still my fav but my god if wow had these kind of graphics i dont think ANY other MMORPG would even dare step up to them
@chillhardy hey, i don't know if somebody's already answered your question, but you can use systemrequirementslap(dot)com to check how capable your computer is of running most games.
Just downloading the newest update as I haven't played in a while xD if anyone could help me I am a around lvl 30 as I used to play when I was like 7 when I beta tested it lol
***** I like soloing most of the story missions when it comes to rpgmmos. When I last played this game it was roughly a month or 2 after it's release. Before the first expansion, when it still required a monthly subscription. I even played in beta before it's release. Back then, even at max level, you could only solo the first 3 or 4 book quest series. I forget what the level cap was back then. I think it was 65 or something? You really could not solo the majority of the game, which was hard because back then, it was a slowly dying game. Now that it has gotten a bit more popular due to it's "f2p" status. And the level cap has increased (and better gear having been made due to the expansions), I am just wondering just how much of this game you can now solo. I don't mind group quests, especially now that the game is a bit more popular, but I would still prefer to solo most of the stuff when it comes to the book quests. That being said, just how much of this games quests are soloable? How many of the books can a lvl 95 solo?
***** They've reworked a lot of the game play mechanics because of people wanting to Solo. Often times there are 2 versions of the quests, 1 version for groups, and another for solo players. The entirety of the Epic quest line is now able to be done solo. However some areas of the game like instances and 12 man Raids won't ever be solo-able due to fight mechanics like the levers here and etc. I would say a good 80% of the game can be done alone if you wish, including all the Epic story like i said. Hope that helps :)

I miss this. I was so young back then
This game looks better in 2024 than what I remember it looking like
0:11 Good thing she still helped you guys, out. Lesser NPC's would have called the raid off after that disrespect.
Lotro was an awesome game.

Best raid i've ever done. So so hard and incredibly cool. Had an amazing kin. Still going today
takes me back.Brilliant
That raid still is the best. It was really challenging on lvl 50 with NO LIs and the first trys with bad equip, O M G :D Thang was also pretty hard Oo

Under the UI option you can scale individual elements and you should change your resolution to your native one also
New player here just curious what class you are playing?
it was dwarf champion i believe

@werdwerdus there's an option called UI scaling, just use that to make the windows smaller/larger
can i ask which cloak u using , i been lookin for that as a cosmetic - so far i only know of the hooded version , been lookin for the hoodless one
Ha, I never ever saw the back room with the Ever Seer, I always tanked the Balrog with the elf
Same! I have done this 100's of times but only really ever saw the Balrogs feet!
At 75, the first few bosses are soloable. Look at their levels dude, this is back when radiance existed.
May I ask... How do you get 2 chat channels (boxes)? This would come in handy for raids and such cause combat stats clog up the chat boxes.
I figured it out, ctrl + \.... Also, what server are you in? I'm in Silverlode.
that was the best raid area lotro have produced yet
You can get to level cap for free. All of the Epic (main storyline) quests are free, as are the first 5 zones (which should get you comfortable to 30ish). After level 30, you'll either have to grind or shell out real money. But it is definitely possible to get to cap without spending a dime - you can earn all the Turbine points you need in-game.
Its 65 now for FTP.... But no quest packs if you don't have regions that support levels 30-65
@werdwerdus How can you get 2h weps as a champion? I thought that only captains could get them.
Its cheaper to spend 10$ a month to become VIP then spend 8-15$ per quest pack. Because is your VIP all quests packs are unlocked except the ones that require expansions that you don't have.
how did you get your interface smaller so you could fit more stuff in it?
Hey i'd really like to know what class you play as im new and the dwarf 2h axe is really what im looking for?
dwarf champion
This raid was sooo much fun @ lvl 50 times :)
This is such a boring fight, but so iconic. Luckily they upped their instances around lvl 100.
wow ur so smart, next ur gonna tell me molten core was boring too and it got better in wotlk, ground breaking stuff, retard
How do people pay attention to all of those hotkeys? It's an honest question and I really want an answer.
yep. there is only a couple of servers so each one has a pretty large population
Does this ame run good on a slightly slow pc, and by run god I mean actually playable on a medium graphics quality, please reply
His older brother Durin's Bane got to be in a movie, what did poor Tharlauch get? Raided by a bunch of anonymous heroes.
and what do you use to record
@werdwerdus by the way is Rift F2P?
How's the fanbase for this game? Are there still a ton of players?
yeah man, i left for over a year, came back, everything still there
At what level can I wield a two hander as champion dwarf? please answer? or how do I get to wield one.
can't remember, maybe 20 or so? go see the trainer and look at "untrainable" skills, it will say which level you need
***** Thanks dude. I was worried I would not ever be able to wield a large hammer..
have you migrated your account from codemasters?you had to when lotro changed hands,if u didnt do it then,ur account is probably deleted i think.try opening a thread in the forums or sending a ticket
dont think so, each tanking class (guardian and warden) has its own positives
Loved these memories
@thazeris No the main content is free to play. No more trial
does this instance come with a quest pack???
I wish my game ran that smooth. Man, mine does't even play well on Medium graphics settings
There are multiple balrogs, they don't all look the same, the only epic fail is your comment.
in wich pack does this raid comes with?
Its the Rift Instance in Angmar
What level and area is this quest????
I don't quite understand what is going on, but it looks cool!
when i can wear a two-handed weapon and bow on dwarf champion?
Hi nice work there..LOTRO needs good pc?
not really, as long as it's fairly standard you can change the graphics down a lot
+werdwerdus thx
+Ανδρέας Ψ. yeah but for max graphics you need good CPU and very, very strong graphics
PEOPLE im new to the game and i want to ask you where can i start raiding????(im lvl 12)
Do you have to be VIP for raids?
So this game is free to play untill what level
is it just me or some sounds are exactly the same as Dark souls?
@Bozzo2511 It's just a higher resolution
it's amazing how lvl 65 LM still use the raven that's how useful it is i thinks better than the bear

how do you get this instance
when can I ask what is this character?
is this the final instance
damn. sick graphics.this game has. great game i suggest that everyone try it. wow is still my fav but my god if wow had these kind of graphics i dont think ANY other MMORPG would even dare step up to them
Its Angmar not Moria . quest pack Angmar
too bad for fifteen minute limit back then
My laptop could run it at around 30fps on low settings and it was a single core hp. You should be able to get decent settings with a newish desktop.
garvin?
Damn...how come my server never does cool shit like this
You que up for a instance kinda like in wow except your solo.
how can i get in a raid?
its because its a level 50 instance that shouldnt be level 50
are there ingame voice chat in this game?
Jamari Nelson yes
will you teach me how to use it
Jamari Nelson it's only available in fellowships and raids. but i haven't played in several years. can't help any more than that. good luck.
werdwerdus then u wanna play ill guide u to lvl 10 with. me
It's an old vid, it looks better now
@chillhardy hey, i don't know if somebody's already answered your question, but you can use systemrequirementslap(dot)com to check how capable your computer is of running most games.
oh the old days of roggy:P
i am waiting to buy rohan and all the quest packs
i must say i could never get into lotro farther then lvl 20 then it got kinda boring to me and i went back to wow
I don't think so, The players aren't even max level.
yes, it is free to play in steam. i'm downloading now
This game is actually really impressive ! :o
nobody really talks on mics anymore,
Someones nose is whistling haha
you can hear my keyboard and mouse easy but great video fals wonder what is wrong net google translate
The game was so fucking good!
untill level 65 and then u gotta buy expansions
cool friend
Just downloading the newest update as I haven't played in a while xD if anyone could help me I am a around lvl 30 as I used to play when I was like 7 when I beta tested it lol
Can a level 95 solo this thing?
95 guardian probably could
He probably can't. Because someone must always tank the Balrog (so the elf doesnt die) and at the same time someone must handle the levers.

legolas199
Thanks, I appreciate the info.
Captain Rules.
they should learn from wow
Now i have to play again ;)
But still. PLaying video games where you got a lot of stuff taking up the view.
That was frustrating to watch
I love this raid.
Beautiful game, nice vid!
3 lvl 100 Wardens could solo this shit.
TotalXDeath 1 champ is enough and at thaulraugh with an extra RK to keep her alive
Eric Verschoor Nah you need people for the levers I think. Only reason I said 3.
I've done it myself.
Dwarves rule
