  • Today's video will cover recent news about yet another telehealth company allegedly in hot water for contributing to the ever growing over utilization of stimulants in America. See the link below for the full news release from the department of justice:

The rest of the video will include my opinions and commentary of what I feel is a growing epidemic in America, the Stimulant Epidemic. Topics covered will include:
*The fact that America has a disproportionate amount of the contribution to ADHD diagnoses across the globe.
*Discussing the problematic way that the mental health field approaches diagnosing ADHD
*Other factors that are likely contributors to the growing over use and misuse of stimulants.

I wouldnt touch one of those stimulant Rxs with a ten foot pole. EVERYONE has adhd these days. Its all about the $$$. I know its not fair, but I dont believe hardly anyone who says they have ADHD these days. Once you've been around someone who really has it, you'll know what it looks like, and you realize 90% of people don't have it.

I've been on stimulants for the last 35 years. I'm sure it's being overprescribed but, do something about that specifically. Don't make it harder for people who actually need them to get them.

I don’t think we should make it harder for those who really need them. The reality is, not appropriately diagnosing it and overprescribing it for people who don’t truly have ADHD is already making it harder for those who have it to access their treatments, and also raises skepticism and scrutiny for those who truly have it as well. We need to improve diagnostic methods, make testing more affordable and accessible as at least one part of the solution.

The legitimacy of ADHD is diluted and not as respected when it's being over prescribed to people who do not have it or need it.

Problem is even the best SSRIs only have 50% success rate. Even then they don't help with attention. So if your the 50% you gotta do something.

Taught english in china for two years... all they ever take is green tea and herbal things. They'll obviously use medicines in a hospital, but at home, they heavily trend herbal on about any ailment. My dad majorly sprained his ankle in Beijing, they put this purely herbal wrap on it, and he said it healed faster than any injury he's had. Just a single story, but its true!
