Always appreciate it when you include your mistakes and missteps as part of the process. It's a good reminder that a) Mistakes happen to everyone, and b) They're not fatal!
You’re ability to take items that would be viewed as trash and turn into something amazing is remarkable. You should do video titled trash to terrain and list all the different “trash” items you have converted over the years. I have used yogurt cups for various huts, paper milk containers for houses, etc.
Wyloch, your enthusiasm when you either stumble on the correct parts for a wash or when something goes as planned is so infectious! Thank you for your videos!
This build/video has so much! Failures, successes, repurposing the universally hated boob-lights, and my new favorite soundclip of Wyloch @8:27. Awesome build man!
The sign for Sorcerous Sundries is the holy symbol of Mystra, goddess of magic. It's supposed to be a "rising red mist" with seven stars around it, but a flame is close enough.
We all thought Tomb of Horror was peak Wyloch, but with this Baldur's Gate series we are in the midst of something extraordinary. D&D historians in a hundred years will analyze Wyloch's œuvre and call this post-pandemic times his prolific phase. I'm so glad I could live to see these days 🥲
Boob lights are slowly being phased out and replaced by led flush mount disc lights in a lot of places. Way brighter and convenient. The project was amazing as always. I need to try something like this one. I've also been keeping my eye on this thing with the caulk to roll texture on on black magics channel. I think it's genius.
Thanks for the video! I love using found items rather than adding them to the landfill! I love how you say you think something is redundant . . . and unnecessary.
Hey, they are not mutually exclusive! IFor example, I work at a nuclear power plant. We have at least two of every pump, when we only need one. Redundant...but necessary!
Easily your best build yet. Your Baldur's Gate series was already awesome but this just set a new high watermark. Looks absolutely legit, and totally captures the essence of one of (if not the) most iconic buildings in the whole entire game. Superb!
In the preview i assumed the top was lit up with a tea light or something. It's incredible how that paint job turned out to have that effect without actually using a light source.
It's beautiful. Truly spectacular. Really love the Baldur's Gate themed crafts you've been doing. Love the aesthetic. The contest sounds fun. I'm sure you'll get a lot of people wanting to participate. There has to be a lot of Badur's Gate Fans out there.
Absolutely gorgeous build Bill! It was a pleasure watching you work through it on Discord! So you're planning to announce a crafting challenge... Per our chat, I'm, of course, compelled to participate. I truly need an intervention. LOL!
I love your videos. After a day of wading through crap at work these videos give me so much happiness. Thank you for producing this content and sharing it.
As soon as you said "Frog Tape" my heart sunk. I had a Mandolorian helmet project (back in like 2010) nearly ruined by that junk. Now I use the cheapest dollar store masking tape I can get.
Without having seen the video, based solely on the thumbnail alone, im saying the image on the right. You open the video with the model so I already know, but holy crap bro. Absolutely incredible crafting. Nicely done.
That's a great way to recycle those fixtures. I've seen some videos showing how folks painted banners for wargaming miniatures on paper. They would varnish the paper before painting. From what I could see, this not only protected the paper from warping while being painted as well as making it more durable for use. Also, there's a possibility that dried out wet wipes or cleaning wipes could work out better for that marbling technique. I saw a video from a Japanese painter on youtube where they used an air dried wet wipe for marbling.
rightfully so. That is just really really nice. The colors and washes are on point. I was hoping Jeremy would use his method to make a structure but here you are completely owning it haha.
Total enjoyment seeing you enjoy your work... you really sell the idea of oil washes with your reactions!!! and yes... love the baldurs gate series of your´s and this dome is literally the pinnacle of it all... I thought it was lit from inside... wouldn´t have thought it was "just" airbrushed!!!
Awesome! That airbrushing is so good I thought you had LED'd the dome and it was lit internally. Loving the Baldur's gate series. The docks with the ship would be a good future project.
I think one of the best parts about this channel has been your obvious personal development as well as the development of your craft. Your confidence and skills have grown so much from the beginnings, and I love seeing it with every new project! Well done, love how this turned out.
Absolutely wonderful video, I love the finished product! But y'know... I can't help but to wonder if all this experience you're getting with these three dimensional, dioramic pieces from your Baldur's Gate project wouldn't inevitably be very beneficial if you were to ever tackle another famous D&D dungeon... Perhaps a multi-storied, 3D dungeon... Like a dark castle of some sort, with ravens in its loft... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I just want to say thanks for all the videos. While I don't do crafting, I do 3D Printing and Painting a ton and you've taught me a lot of things that have helped me level up my painting skills. Thank you.
If you’re going to be doing airbrushing stencils or any other painting stencil for that matter, a Cricut is a great investment. You can get a number of different materials and finishes to use in it and it creates great stencils or cutouts in no time at all. I’m going to use it for my future projects.
This is a great build, definitely one of your best. I personally won't say it's your best because there are so many great ones but I can definitely see why you think it's the best thing you've made.
You should use your last dome to make a version using transparent paint. with LED inside the dome and the frosty effect I think it would look great. Nice work and good idea using old lamp fixture.
Yes, and even after we were shown that the dome could be removed I thought the same! Especially when the video showed the light fixture it was made from, clearly it had to be lit from inside, I thought, despite having seen the interior with my own eyes! Wyloch is very proud of his use of oil paints, as he should be, but the dome was no less magical!
ah, the classic boob lamps, yeah i don't like those either. but love what you did with it! big fan of using random items with interesting shapes for crafting and not just raw materials like cardboard, foam or coffee stirrers
One thing that might be a good idea to try with one of the other domes you have, since you replaced several of them, is to get some of the Tamiya Clear paints and try using those over the dome, perhaps also go with some of the paint pens rather than a sharpie for the lines between them. That would let you add a light to the interior and get something that would look even cooler in the end.
OMG another banger Bill!!! You know... I thought about it... sometimes you don't need that corrugation cladding for something to be a banger!!! Can't wait for the next video in this series champ!!
Is your wife's nickname for those lights, ummm, bosom-adjacent and rhymes with 'kitty'? That's what they are in our house 😂 Another great video in the series! Can't wait for the next installment
Sorcerous Sundries was just drawing my eyes to it as I first entered Baldur's Gate on my first playthrough, and to this day, that's my favorite building in the city (along with Ramazith's Tower). This one looks just the "real" one in the game, makes me want to just craft it for my running Baldur's Gata campaign (though we're playing 100 years after the events of the game, Minsc & Boo's Journal of Villainy is an amazing source for this). I'm all up for a crafting challenge connected to Baldur's Gate, count me in! :)
Always appreciate it when you include your mistakes and missteps as part of the process. It's a good reminder that a) Mistakes happen to everyone, and b) They're not fatal!
"When Grafix reached out about a year ago ..." Few others can claim to be a on a first-name basis with Grafix Medium Chipboard. 😊
That trick with the texture roller made perfect road tiles...

One of my first real RPGs, absolutely great to see this as a diorama!
The sign for Sorcerous Sundries is the holy symbol of Mystra, goddess of magic. It's supposed to be a "rising red mist" with seven stars around it, but a flame is close enough.
Dude, that dome looks seriously sick. My brain keeps telling me it has a light behind it making it glow!
This very cool! Your wife is not the only on who hates those, who knew they could find a second life on the table top :)
The Baldur's Gate stuff is my favourite thing you have ever done. Incredible and beautiful work
As soon as I saw it I wondered "Is that a light fitting?". Great build. The colours look amazing.
The ultimate goal of materializing Baldur's Gate world is at hand! Congratulations man. The result is amazing!
We all thought Tomb of Horror was peak Wyloch, but with this Baldur's Gate series we are in the midst of something extraordinary.

This is like Christmas. Wyloch brought what I asked for.
I simply love it when you get right into it and we get the double take on the good bits, ie the brickwork wash... hehehe, makes us smile Wyloch.
Wow, that done turned out amazing! I totally understand why you like the end result so much - it’s freaking awesome!
In the preview i assumed the top was lit up with a tea light or something. It's incredible how that paint job turned out to have that effect without actually using a light source.
you are the Bob Ross of DnD set pieces, truly talented
That Competition sounds AWESOME!
That is really gorgeous! You are justified in your pride.
Congratulations - this may be one of your finest BG terrain pieces yet!
I'd love to see you tackle some of the building interiors/dungeon layouts, from Baldur's Gate.
Was always a big fan of their aesthetic!
Love it Wyloch! As an electrician, when we do renovations, we sometimes throw these out, I’ll be sure to save one next time!
That roof is awesome!!! Made it look easier than I thought it would have been. Thanks for including the way it didn't work as well, saves time
I love Baldur's Gate! I love when you let us know what goes wrong so we do not make the same mistakes!! Cannot wait to see what else you make!
That was freeeeking AWESOME. Great Job Wyloch. You knocked it out of the park. Cheers!!
It's beautiful. Truly spectacular. Really love the Baldur's Gate themed crafts you've been doing. Love the aesthetic.

This building looks great! I can't wait to see a Baldur's Gate "tour" some day in the far future!
Really slick results. I like how oil wash gave you "the fizz" and I have to agree, those walls looked super. Thanks for your hard work!
I love your videos. After a day of wading through crap at work these videos give me so much happiness. Thank you for producing this content and sharing it.
the dome really does look fantastic. and i bet you could light it from within for nice ambience
Dude, this is one of the most beautiful projects you ever made. Amazing!
As soon as you said "Frog Tape" my heart sunk.
I had a Mandolorian helmet project (back in like 2010) nearly ruined by that junk. Now I use the cheapest dollar store masking tape I can get.
That is freekin awesome! Some of the best repurposing ever.
Awesome! I love how you adapted that technique for the walls, that's real clever.
Without having seen the video, based solely on the thumbnail alone, im saying the image on the right.

That definitely looks like your magnum opus, extremely well done!
I can't get over how good your work looks with such simple building process, I'm always overthinking my builds and end up unsatisfied 😅
Awesome! That airbrushing is so good I thought you had LED'd the dome and it was lit internally. Loving the Baldur's gate series. The docks with the ship would be a good future project.

Amazing! You truly are the master of taking simple materials and quickly and easily creating a masterpiece from it. Such an inspiration.
Looks great. Did not expect it to be as big though. That final shot caught me off guard for some reason. You must have crazy storage needs.
Absolutely wonderful video, I love the finished product! But y'know... You’re right to be proud of that model, it’s really cool! And now I am overcome with the urge to take my wife light fixture shopping….
I can certainly see why that's your new favorite! That looks fantastic, nice work!!
That actually turned out better than the original! how is that even possible? One of my favourite things you’ve made, I loved it.❤

You can get a number of different materials and finishes to use in it and it creates great stencils or cutouts in no time at all. I’m going to use it for my future projects.
Your skills grow by leaps and bounds.
The whole build is awesome, but that dome is next level. Cheers!
This is a great build, definitely one of your best. I personally won't say it's your best because there are so many great ones but I can definitely see why you think it's the best thing you've made.
I never get tired of watching you do your magic ❤
That dome is gorgeous! Well done
Look fantastic! I try to preach the gospel of oil paint washes every chance I get, they're just that amazing.
J'adore votre série de décors sur BG, tellement de nostalgie et de plaisir à vous voir les construire !
Gods gift to humanity 😆 You really like that primer haha!!!
You should use your last dome to make a version using transparent paint. with LED inside the dome and the frosty effect I think it would look great. Nice work and good idea using old lamp fixture.
The results are gorgeous! I love how the colours on the dome make it almost look like it's glowing from within.

I think this might be my favorite building yet
The symbol is the symbol of Mystra.
Nice, my daughter and I are going to watch this tonight for her bedtime video.
Incredibly done, nostalgia has been thoroughly satisfied 🤩
Loving this series. The building looks great in the end - what a fantastic final result. The dome is by far one of my favourite parts though.
YES! LET'S GO!
dude, please do the temple of Bhaal under Baldur's gate! You rock!
Absolutely amazing from start to finish!! Everything worked out perfectly. So many good bits of technique and advice. Thank you! 😊
it's so easy to love something when its creator is so very passionate about it 😎😎😎 cool video!!! you make crafting look like so much fun and so simple
That dome turned out great!
ah, the classic boob lamps, yeah i don't like those either. but love what you did with it! big fan of using random items with interesting shapes for crafting and not just raw materials like cardboard, foam or coffee stirrers
That wood looks so nice I might do that with just anything wood .
Awesome work!
Another win for saving every piece of trash you come across. :)
To be 100% honest I think the one you built is a lot better looking then the original. I like the bigger glass panels on the roof.
>no bugs in those lamps
Cap
One thing that might be a good idea to try with one of the other domes you have, since you replaced several of them, is to get some of the Tamiya Clear paints and try using those over the dome, perhaps also go with some of the paint pens rather than a sharpie for the lines between them. I love the build a balders gate component contest! Please do it. I will definitely do it!
The symbol on the flag is that of the goddess Mystra, amazing work btw!
Definitely one of your iconic builds. Crazy how long we have all been at this and still learning new ways to build and create.
Gorgeous! But...Popsicle sticks? Amazing as always!
This really looks great! It's glowing!
Nice! Only wizards get to go to the upper level, because only they have teleport spells.
Like Tel Fyr
Absolutely great result! Keep the BG content rolling!!! :D
OMG another banger Bill!!! You know... I thought about it... sometimes you don't need that corrugation cladding for something to be a banger!!! Can't wait for the next video in this series champ!!
Thank you for sharing your talents. Always inspiring!
Perfect timing with music ;)
I think the stores banner is the symbol of the Goddess Mystra. That said the one you built is pretty darn close to it!
Is your wife's nickname for those lights, ummm, bosom-adjacent and rhymes with 'kitty'? That's what they are in our house 😂
Another great video in the series! Can't wait for the next installment
Yellow Feogtape is made for newly painted surfaces.
That is one of the coolest things I’ve seen you make. Well done! (Slow clapping)
Sorcerous Sundries was just drawing my eyes to it as I first entered Baldur's Gate on my first playthrough, and to this day, that's my favorite building in the city (along with Ramazith's Tower). Absolutely amazing, you have outdone yourself this looks incredible! Love your work!
Totally AWESOME !!!
I think the image out front of the building is supposed to be the symbol of the Goddess Mystra
That dome is so very good dude
Well done mate. It truly is a thing of beauty.
