I hope you're still having fun with this series because I love it so much. I'm a sucker for red wizards too so that alone made me excited for this video!
I love how this series has gone from making buildings from Baldur’s Gate to making a specific encounter. I still remember the first time I came across these wizards. One thing I’ve always loved about Baldur’s Gate 1 in particular is how after the first hour or so they just let you go off and explore the big world at your own leisure and how you’d encounter a whole range of strange and memorable encounters. Felt much more like roaming about a world than in the second game in which most of the time we were going to new locations specifically because of a character’s quest rather than stumbling across it. Both styles great, but there’s something specifically magical to me about that first kind.
Beyond nostalgia, and your obvious talent, what I truly love about this series is the simple sound of enjoyment in your voice. Make things, play games... indeed sir.
This whole series has been, and continues to be, great fun! I've got such great memories of playing 'Balder's Gate' and it's been a real treat seeing you bring it to life in a whole new way.
Do you hear that? It's my nostalgia going into overdrive. BG1 was so good, and you builds are amazing. It's making me try to remember where the CDs are.
I started BG:EE yesterday and had this encounter today! The game is really hard, but that just makes it better! Very nice location to recreate! Cant wait too see what more is out there and if my party is up to the challenge lol
I think I remember this encounter. I got around the wandering spiders by clearing as many from the surrounding wood before triggering the wizard encounter. And of course stocking up on blue potions of healing. Because of Baulder's Gate the potions of healing in my games were always blue. At least until I played Diablo 2 where healing potions were red.
Given how simple their construction is, I'm really impressed with how well the columns came out. Also what would make for a wild BG project would be part of the chamber with all the Bhaalspawn statues from after the Sarevok fight! I wonder if one of those lightbox style setups could work to make it look infinitely deep
Loved your ToH & WPM Module builds. I sure hope you plan on doing some more of those iconic dungeons! You've inspired me to get into crafting for my tabletop games, rather than the grid battlemaps and dry erase markers.
Absolutely brilliant! I love your style and aesthetic - and I like my terrain simple and beautiful in exactly the way yours turn out, so I get so much value from your examples
About adding the acrylic medium to the inks to fix them in place, it might be because you used indian inks, which are not like regular miniature painting inks and thus reactivate with water unless you mix them with acrylic medium. I learned that the bad way.
I got there when my troops were overpowered (in the positive sense). One fireball and Satan's Santas were done. No spell-trading or fighter-rushing to stretch the whole thing out.
Hey Wyloch great job, that looks wonderful! If you have the time to answer, are there any projects you would recommend to get better at working with cardboard?
Oh look, the horrors of my youth have been brought to life and made whole. I have died so many times to them, I feel like it should be a meme at this point.
Have you thought of suggesting your followers check their Subscription Feed as the bell is not functional? I don't log the reminder bell as it seems to function as permission for both YT and Google to add me to lists rather than function as intended. Instead, I just check my subscription feed and never miss a thing on any channel... provided YT doesn't remove it for its own arcane purposes!!! LOL
Sacrifice: *Explodes* Spooky evil alter: *Does fuck all* Red Wizard 1: *Wipes blood off face.* "Well that was a waste of time and gold." Red Wizard 2: "Nonsense, Zrafon. We now know that if we don't offer to correct type of sacrifice that it will explode. Baby steps!" Red Wizard 1: "Mralk, that guy cost 150 gold to buy. I worked really hard to get the price down, and instead of using him for something useful, he's been turned into gore." Red Wizard 2: "Oh don't worry we'll get back what we invested and then some." Red Wizard 1: "How do you know." Red Wizard 2: *Shrugs* "Magic." Red Wizard 1: *Sigh* "Look I just can't help but feel this is meaningless." Red Wizard 2: "Nonsense! Think of the power this will bring Thay!" Red Wizard 1: "It's not this. Well not just this anyways. I mean, have you seen how far Thay's expanded? Not an inch for centuries, not permanently anyways. Wherever we go people look at us like we're monsters. And maybe they're right to. Every time we try to do business, even if it's just to sell a potion, they check to see if it's demonically enchanted or something. I just don't see how this is good. For us. For Thay. Looks great Bill. I hear that music and all I can think of is "Heya.... It's me... Imoen"

I kinda forgot they existed until the dnd movie

The nostalgia i get watching these builds. I hope this series of builds goes on for a long time. Absolutely love it.
Had a pretty shitty day but sitting down for a new Wyloch build always gets me in the mood to hobby 😁 Hope you're doing well, chief
Thanks for the video! Nothing more dangerous than "ambiguous dark goings on."
Always a highlight of my day to wake up to your videos. Thank you.
Thank you for another great video. Excellent result as ever.

Wonderful, charming, simple! Simple as. Totally reusable in multiple scenarios.
I love launching a fireball right in the middle of them! Dude, you are on track to doing the whole game, haha! Mulahey's grotto would be cool too!
Love it. Temple design could be used in non fantasy wargaming, too.
dude i said this already but i am loving this series really loving it bringing back so many memories
this series has been so awesome!!!
Great result of such a simple model in the game - Love the flowers!
Nice Work! Thank you for Sharing
Simple yet awesome looking! Great job!
I started BG:EE yesterday and had this encounter today! The game is really hard, but that just makes it better! Very nice location to recreate! Cant wait too see what more is out there and if my party is up to the challenge lol
Nifty! A fine reproduction of the source material. =^[.]^=
Nothing worse than ambiguous dark goings on. It never ends well.
Loving this series.
Love baldurs gate and love this series! Thanks a lot!
I do love ambiguous, dark goings-on!

Thanks for another wicked fun build!
I never get tired of watching your videos
I like that you use clear bases. Really sells a certain effect. Nice work as always Wylock
This is Beautiful
Looks awesome 🤩
Love me some wizards of Thay, and this random location is awesome!
Great idea for the pillars! This guild turned out great!
This takes me back. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Ahhhh stunning!! You're amazing, thanks so much for doing this 🤩
You're killing it dude!!

It is SO cool to see the finished build next to the game screenshots, you did great

Great job man! I'm loving these Baldurs Gate builds! Brings back a ton of nostalgia. Hopefully you can make your way to BG2 eventually.
Incredible. Something I've only dreamed of. You are a true creator, a God.
I have to save this for later, but 10
seconds in… that looks awesome
Awesome!
Looks cool. Dried blood should have a bit of brown in it, though, to look a bit more like rust.
This series is brilliant!

Awesome! Thanks for the ideas and the video!
Analysis paralysis! I hear ya!
Nice! I like your take better, the colors are much more vibrant.
I got there when my troops were overpowered (in the positive sense). One fireball and Satan's Santas were done. No spell-trading or fighter-rushing to stretch the whole thing out.
Looks really awesome 😊
Me, halfway through making 80 monolith columns for the Barrow Mound ... sees how Wyloch did it....
-_-
Well, crap....
Such a cool project mate!
Hey Wyloch great job, that looks wonderful! If you have the time to answer, are there any projects you would recommend to get better at working with cardboard?
Tiles, anything repetitive.
'May you live to order another pack of corrugated paper, brother.'
That is amazing!
i am a travelling dm so model builds and just too cumbersome.
This set piece though was absolutely beautiful.
Really enjoying this series would love to see you tackle some Fallout stuff next
Great work, super easy.
2:27 Um, dude, that's going across the width. Or the horizontal direction haha
Love how this turned out, especially with the foliage. What is the mat underneath?
Frontline Gaming Mats
Thank you for another great video! \[T]/

I’d recommend watching crafsman video featuring cabochons to learn the only correct pronunciation of the word 😂

@@WylochsArmory Thanks!
Red Wizards are such satisfying enemies to kill. They're basically Fantasy Nazis so it's the morally right thing to do to kill them.
