I would say Fallout: New Vegas realized in Fallout 4. It's more respectful and allows FONV fans to enjoy the game in a "newer" engine and Fallout 4 get the improvement it desperately needs.
the final product will probably look even better that's what's so exciting, then to think we get the (weird) fallout 4 camera angles in NV is pretty cool
This is nothing short of astonishing. Every aspect is executed phenomenally, and with Bethesda letting us down with 76 it's nice to know I can rely on the brilliant modding community to keep the content coming. Good job fellas.
I just wanted the developers and the voice actor for Doc Mitchel to know: I appreciate you. So. Much. I know that development is a long road with many bumps and struggles, but I truly hope you make it towards the end. I can't tell you how much this has brightened my day and given me hope for the future as I have something to look forward to. Not fucking kidding. Thank you.
Wow, the character animations in the intro, everything.. you can tell THIS is a work of love. EDIT: Actually after watching it all, the starter quests popping up at the end there, with their graphics updated F4-style, it almost put a tear to my eye. You are all awesome. I hope this gets finished.
Laurens Gosling have you’ve seen the original design/concept art for the strip? I hope they make it look like the first design instead of the one we got in the final product
Olga Garcia I have the comic (by dark horse I think) that shows off what they thought the strip should look like and it is so much more Vegas than what made it into the game
It wouldn't be a problem. The thing that makes your fps drop was the shadows, that's why when you're in downtown Boston, you get 30fps because most of the buildings are individually rendered contrary to The Strip. The Strip in the vanilla game has little buildings so it shouldn't be a problem, theoretically. One of the good things worth looking forward to
While you can notice that this is an early build and a fan project, oh lord do i have the biggest goosebumps i've had in a while. The animation of Doc actually helping you up on your feet, and pointing to the actual vigor tester?, holy moly guacamole!
BananaShakeProduction he does help you get up in the original NV but to see it in third person with better animations and the fact that he actually points to the vigor machine was amazing This just shows how much effort they’re really putting into this mod
I don't know about that ,there's a lot of killer Fallout mods out there. But yeah I noticed that. They made that vigour tester look like old world pristine . It's a thing of beauty, talk about paying attention to detail.
@@baileyharrison1030 it's a huge project. Remaking a fairly big game from scratch, if they are re doing all old content plus dlc's. Done by volunteers, so yeah. I can understand why it would take so long.
ACTUAL CUTSCENES?? INVOLVING THE PLAYER??? You know, I was already impressed with the level of detail we’ve seen from the initial trailers and stuff, but cripes, the level of care n detail is astounding!
Yeah, but I really want cutscenes only in the intro. F:NV isn't really anything about cutscenes, just like Half-Life 1 and 2 where gameplay isn't interrupted by a cutscene.
I rarely comment on videos, but I needed to say a few things about this one. I had goosebumps running all over my body upon seeing certain details: the animations you made, such as doc Mitchell moving about on the chair, the one where he helps the player character stand up, and the revisited perk machine. When the lights switched on I almost cried in awe. The new soundtrack perfectly creates that feeling of mystery and atmospheric nostalgia of the original one... and I must say it's even better. At first I wasn't too happy with doc Mitchell's new voice actor, but believe me when I say it grew on me so much that when I got accustomed to it I already loved it effortlessly. The peak arrived when I saw "Two bears high-fiving"... no, what am I saying, the peak lasted through the whole video: all those new sounds and animations for the Vault Boy, the animation displayed upon quest receiving... Good job guys. No, amazing job. You went well over my expectations and I thank you for this. I don't even have a computer powerful enough to run Fallout 4, but knowing that a team put heart and soul to revisit one of the best games of the series, and, in my opinion, the only true new generation Fallout, gives me such a genuine happiness that makes me feel excited about a videogame again, like it wasn't happening in years. So thank you, just thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Bethesda should just hire the entire F4NV team to make an entire remaster. They don't have to worry about stolen assets (and also get paid for their work), and Bethesda gets to make a lotta money while making fans happy. Seems like an easy win win
Nah the fans will never be happy. They'd find a way to get butthurt about it. Trust me, if there's one thing I've learned, it's that the fallout fanbase will always be the same toxic cunt-bags they've always been.
Fans will be happy as long as you give them what they want. There are certain things that make certain franchises. You provide that and build upon whatever is already there. Insulting each other won't get us anywhere.
@@christopherbradley7149 It was an ADR (Audio Dialogue Replacement) AKA voice matching. It wasn't just an impression, he tried to match his voice with the original and that takes sone serious talent holy shit
So I knew they had to change the voice actors, but I also thought they couldn't use the same music? I was able to tell the voice was different (barely), but that theme that was playing sounded pretty much the same, no?
Wow, Dominic James’ work as Doc Mitchell is impeccable. Even the tonal inflections of his voice are just how I remember them... and I’d know after playing FNV through about 12 times over the years.
The FO3 remake didn't get C&D'd, they got a polite warning about ripping the voice acting files and some legal advice about how to proceed with the mod. They only cancelled because half of their team threw a hissy fit and quit because they thought it was all pointless if they couldn't use the original voices.
they could have always done what TTW does, requires you to have a copy of the game on your harddrive and an installer does the ripping and converting for you.

Blaydon A mod like that would be taken down. Why be so negative about this of an amazing mod? Appreciate what you get, dont greed for the unreasonable.

Fallout 4: New Vegas > Fallout: New Vegas
Bruh no
I would say Fallout: New Vegas realized in Fallout 4.
It's more respectful and allows FONV fans to enjoy the game in a "newer" engine and Fallout 4 get the improvement it desperately needs.
@@AdmiralBison I agree. Fallout 4 finally gets to be a good game

Oh yeah yeah
Originally I thought this was just the song BUT THIS IS WAY BETTER THANK YOU
I appriciate the extra animation here and there, superb job team f4nv!
the final product will probably look even better that's what's so exciting, then to think we get the (weird) fallout 4 camera angles in NV is pretty cool
This is nothing short of astonishing. Every aspect is executed phenomenally, and with Bethesda letting us down with 76 it's nice to know I can rely on the brilliant modding community to keep the content coming. Good job fellas.
If they didn't add AND choose the "Two bears high-fiving" option for the ink blot test, I would've been HORRIBLY disappointed.

Thank you.
> I know that development is a long road with many bumps and struggles
... the lonesome road, huh?
Just kidding.
Someone will probably make a mod that replaces all the dialogue with the original
What's even the point of re-making the audio if you can reuse the original?
Winjin so they don't get hit with a Cease and Desist/Copyright Strike
I'm speechless on how grateful and amazed with all the hard work y'all have put into this project. Thank you for this.
Wow, the character animations in the intro, everything.. you can tell THIS is a work of love.
EDIT: Actually after watching it all, the starter quests popping up at the end there, with their graphics updated F4-style, it almost put a tear to my eye. You are all awesome. I hope this gets finished.
I really want to see the Strip with this engine.
That would be glorious.
One of the good things worth looking forward to
Dude, it means there won't be any gates in the strip. It'll all be one whole thing like in the introduction cutscene in NV.

While you can notice that this is an early build and a fan project, oh lord do i have the biggest goosebumps i've had in a while. The animation of Doc actually helping you up on your feet, and pointing to the actual vigor tester?, holy moly guacamole!
BananaShakeProduction he does help you get up in the original NV but to see it in third person with better animations and the fact that he actually points to the vigor machine was amazing
This just shows how much effort they’re really putting into this mod
Great work guys. You're creating the fallout we all want so bad

I'm so happy they added the "two bears highfiving option

That vigor tester alone is more impressive than most fallout 4 mods.
Bailey Harrison it’s fucking sweet
I don't know about that ,there's a lot of killer Fallout mods out there.
But yeah I noticed that. They made that vigour tester look like old world pristine . It's a thing of beauty, talk about paying attention to detail.
@@colddaze6680 4 years later and this mod still isn't finished XD. Though apparently they're still working on it?!
To be fair its not really anything to worry about, considering that there is either never or extremely rarely another moment like that in F:NV.
Even the quest startups have custom vaultboy animations.. wow.
Extra attention to detail points if they make an additional mod that makes Doc Mitchell’s head twist 360 degrees during the intro.
Doc's head didn't do 360 rotation. 0/10 unimmersive af

The voice actor did an excellent job. Props to him! Hope he continues to go far in his VA career!
@@giovanni3362 Are you the figurehead of it?
Fans will be happy as long as you give them what they want. There are certain things that make certain franchises. You provide that and build upon whatever is already there. Insulting each other won't get us anywhere.
I believe they’d need to talk with obsidian, who I believe sold out to Microsoft
Giovanni 336 Its like that because nothing will ever come close to perfection
This voice actor is spot on holy shit
I noticed he was different.... goes to show how many times I played new Vegas. I know every single modulation of the original voice actors voice.
That wasn't the original actor??
@@christopherbradley7149 It was an ADR (Audio Dialogue Replacement) AKA voice matching. It wasn't just an impression, he tried to match his voice with the original and that takes sone serious talent holy shit
So I knew they had to change the voice actors, but I also thought they couldn't use the same music? I was able to tell the voice was different (barely), but that theme that was playing sounded pretty much the same, no?
That's actually a new track recorded in-house to replace the original music.
Wow, Dominic James’ work as Doc Mitchell is impeccable. Even the tonal inflections of his voice are just how I remember them... and I’d know after playing FNV through about 12 times over the years.
Wait, those lines aren't just ripped from FNV?
The FO3 remake didn't get C&D'd, they got a polite warning about ripping the voice acting files and some legal advice about how to proceed with the mod. They only cancelled because half of their team threw a hissy fit and quit because they thought it was all pointless if they couldn't use the original voices.
they could have always done what TTW does, requires you to have a copy of the game on your harddrive and an installer does the ripping and converting for you.
IIRC they considered that and it turns out that's _also_ illegal. I'm not sure how the TTW team is getting away with it.
i mean technically the files are not being distributed by the mod makers. I wonder what the rules are there that prevents it?
2/10 Doc Mitchell's head didn't do a 360°
I hope they have it do that after you select Wild Wild Wasteland.
Don't worry they patched the spine bugs
This is an amazingly well done recreation of the character creation. Fantastic voice acting, perfect aesthetics. Extremely well done F4NV team! I can't imagine the number of hours it took to get this done.
