I got scammed years ago with a tv product. I actually saw the tv. He took it out of the box. The scam was a second party distracted me while they did the switch of the tv with another box and when I got it home I realized it. Due diligence is don’t buy anything out of a white van. Learned my lesson well!

I was approached by some guy at a gas station giving away cleaning products that were worth “lots” of money, but somehow he picked me to give this fortune away. I told him no thanks & he said why not? I said I didn’t want it. He said it was free, it worth a lot. I said no. He started insulting me & I just laughed at him as he kept insulting me. He took off afterwards.
Another time waiting outside a dr office some dude just pulled up & stuck out the window what looked like Apple AirPods. He just said here, I said no & he drove off.

I'm sorry but this isn't new EEV Blog covered the projector scam 9 years ago. Different model(ya got to update your product to stay relevant!) and even then in his video he links to some other videos talking about it that are older than his but Dave(EEVBlog) takes it apart to show what's inside :)
