I saw this group earlier this year, in March-they also had the addition of a young brother on saxophone-it was truly one of the most inspirational concerts I had seen in a long time-probably ever...and where is Stern Grove-and who was the group at the end of this video? 11-3-24.
If you Google it, Stern Grove is a legendary park and concert grove in San Francisco that has offered a summer of free concerts every Sunday for 87 years with legends like Herbie. It's a gorgeous grove lined with redwoods and eucalyptus trees. The band at the end opened for Herbie and is the SFJAZZ COLLECTIVE. They play at SFJazz regularly, the biggest solely jazz concert hall in the U.S.
You mean because of Herbie Hancock, the Keytar SHOULD BE one of the great, but is, in spite of his work with the instrument, one of the most underappreciated instruments of the 21st century! The way you stated it, it sounds like Herbie is RESPONSIBLE for the instruments' underappreciation! And I don't think you meant it that way, yes? 11-3-24.
