The way Weckl plays drums drives me nuts , effortless , smooth like silk , extremely creative .. never heard anyone like him . Dave is at the top of my book . GOAT
Yeah, Dave is an amazing musician and educator. He has been my favorite drummer since I first saw him live in 1999. And I think he is still at the top of his game❤
A lot of names are mentioned when drummers talk about the best. In my opinion Dave can do it all and flawlessly at that. I’ve been following him since the around ‘90 and he never ceases to amaze me. Just when you think he’s out of ideas he produces another wow moment. The GOAT in my book! 🙌
What a TRIP! Outstanding stuff. A great tune in the style of The Great: Chick Corea. In all of our musical hearts he rests. Thank you to all!!!! Long live music!! Long live Jazz!!
Bravo Dave ! I'm still trying to figure you out ! You are so way beyond my level of drumming ! I have enjoyed your skills for decades ! and, Joey and John ! You guys were over the top ! I give you my standing ovation ! Cheers !
I'm so glad to see John and Dave still together. As it should be....lot's of new young aspiring young minds to inspire and encourage...Chick would absolutely approve...thank you guys..never stop..Adam.
Oh so smooth! Awesome! I met you and got to talk to you several times at the old Mississippi nights in St Louis. You convinced me to buy my Yamaha drums. I know you don't remember any of that it's been quite a while ago. But your performance has always been so outstanding. And here we are in 2024 and I'm still saying the same thing. Outstanding.
Dave you are my new hero on the drums!!! So effortless and yet so powerful!! Great work man!!!😁✌️✌️👍👍I have so much to learn!! I’m 57 and I’ve played rock and classic rock, but jazz looks a lot more fun!!😁👍👍
Treat the tour the way Terry Labonte treats his race cars: "You run it 'til it blows." 😎 Chick would've been happy to be in this audience. I know I would too. With Cremona being the home of the Strad, that audience definitely appreciates the arts. But this audio is superb. Man, how things have changed through the years.
My neighbor dropped off a copy of Master Plan when it came out. I went out and bought a drum kit the next day...been playing ever since. I thought it had been a few years. Ummmmm....it's been 34 years! Thanks Dave!
Joey is the most underrated pianist on the piano jazz Olympus. He is mostly only known for his collaboration with Michael Brecker. His own albums are brilliant. 34 years ago I was able to attend a master class with him. Great guy! And great trio, of course
Couldn't agree with you more!!! I was introduced to Joey's music in the early 90s with his album "To Know One" which featured another underrated player who would also become one of my all-time favorites, saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi. I've been hooked on them both ever since.
just got the tickets for the Fiesole concert! can't wait! I have seen John and Dave with the Electric Band back in 1987...It does not seem they forgot how to play since then...🙂
I LOVE YOU DAVE!! you are among the very Best !!on Earth! Pattitucci OMG!! GODS!! Im just not this kinda Jazz guy! its above my comprehension and I cannot follow it.. but watching you guys play and make iyt look so easy is incredible
Listenning to Ed Motta's music here in Brazil I came to this video... Fighting in favor to the algorithm and making my life clean like this wonderful music
And here is the result of bringing together three musical geniuses who play their instruments with absolute mastery. Flawless and brilliant performance.
It's so great to see Eric behind the set again. He has always been an inspiration to drummers around the world. I saw him with Mccoy and Weather Report back in the 70s.
Calderazzo deserves some praise and recognition too. The guy is an absolute LEGEND, and has played with the likes of Michael Brecker. Just a 10/10 musician in every conceivable way.
I used to see Joey Caldeazzo stopping at jam nights in his hometown of New Rochelle, NY, right before he started playing with Michael Brecker. Super nice guy - and a beast!!
This is fucking ridiculous. I gotta say, one of the things that impresses me about Dave Weckl the most is that he seems to be constantly coming up with new vocabulary, and it's always impressive. I was mesmerized by this. And Joey Calderazzo in this, my god. And John, as always. I would kill to see the rest of this performance.
The way Weckl plays drums drives me nuts , effortless , smooth like silk , extremely creative .. never heard anyone like him . Dave is at the top of my book . GOAT
Agreed. Guy is an enigma.
Totally agree! Great humility, always smiling inside. And so is John :)
Yeah, Dave is an amazing musician and educator. He has been my favorite drummer since I first saw him live in 1999. And I think he is still at the top of his game❤
I totally agree. Dave Weckl, in my world, is the best drummer of all time.
The most elegant drummer in my lifetime. Beautiful playing as always
🇧🇷Sou fã incondicional
All day. Nuff said.
My respect for Dave Weckl has reached a new level. Priceless!!!!!!
Dave and John read each other so instinctually well that, I swear, they must actually be twins. Amazing!
Dave is soooo smooth. He just glides thrue music without any effort
What a TRIP!
Outstanding stuff.
A great tune in the style of The Great:
Chick Corea.
In all of our musical hearts he rests.
Thank you to all!!!!
Long live music!! Long live Jazz!!
Dave and John what a richness of music!!
My respect to Dave, John and Joey you sound like a dream team.
Bravo Dave ! I'm still trying to figure you out ! You are so way beyond my level of drumming ! I have enjoyed your skills for decades ! and, Joey and John ! You guys were over the top ! I give you my standing ovation ! Cheers !
8:45... "find someone who looks at you the way that John looks at Dave." Beautiful moment(s). Thanks for sharing!
Saw Dave with the Stanley Clark band last month at Jazz Alley in Seattle.Wow!!
A power Jazz trio! Wonderfully done.
I'm so glad to see John and Dave still together. As it should be....lot's of new young aspiring young minds to inspire and encourage...Chick would absolutely approve...thank you guys..never stop..Adam.

Beautiful, the two rides cymbals sound gorgeous, that trio is really beautiful, grazie ragazzi.
oh how nice it is to hear you such good music! My regards dear Dave.
I like Dave’s playing even better now than 30 years ago. He gets more and more musical. Beautiful Dave.
Age reduces surplus energy and supports efficiency... 😄
Awesome - Great - Divine!!! 🤩🙏
Tasteful, as always.
This new trio kicks!!!
And today in Poznań at the Enter Festival. I'm counting down the minutes! You are great!!!
Dave you are my new hero on the drums!!! So effortless and yet so powerful!! Great work man!!!😁✌️✌️👍👍I have so much to learn!! I’m 57 and I’ve played rock and classic rock, but jazz looks a lot more fun!!😁👍👍
that flat ride ... beautifully buttery sound !

Fantástico !! El Maestro Dave como siempre dando una clase magistral de su arte único e irrepetible !!
Exquisite. Dave is such a great musician, never dirtying any part of the music unnecessarily. So clean.
Fantástico! Obrigado por postar esse vídeo! Venham ao Brasil 🇧🇷!
The future of the trio is bright.
Joey is the most underrated pianist on the piano jazz Olympus. He is mostly only known for his collaboration with Michael Brecker. His own albums are brilliant. 34 years ago I was able to attend a master class with him. Great guy! And great trio, of course
Hes also known for being Branford Marsalis's pianist for many years
Killer since always
The memory of Chick draws John and Dave front stage. But Joey is certainly congenial.
Couldn't agree with you more!!! I was introduced to Joey's music in the early 90s with his album "To Know One" which featured another underrated player who would also become one of my all-time favorites, saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi. I've been hooked on them both ever since.
Fantastic! Music and Musicians...Great Concert!

Holy cow Weckl is off the hook burning here!! Even for him this is fantastic. [throws drumsticks away]
Amazing trio!🎶🎶🎶🎸🎹🥁❤️
I love this content because it made me feel like I was watching your tour from the side.
And I also applaud the two masters who joined us.
All great musicians! I love you guys!
Dave! You and the trio, the Westchester cats (current and former) are better than ever!
Peace always-Greg Burrows
Thanks for all you all do.
Always powerful Dave love his unique drumming I learn every time I watch Dave amazing
Nice work on the edit guys. Love the split screen to get an idea of the communication that happens when great musicians get together. Grande sforzo!
That was wonderful, amazing!
Who else was smiling the whole time?
😁
Chick and Monk

Always enjoyed your playing Dave 👍👍
The great Master! The professor! Always amazing. Hug from Brasil.
And here is the result of bringing together three musical geniuses who play their instruments with absolute mastery. Flawless and brilliant performance.
Mr Weckl is one of the greatest artists in history, like Michelangelo, or da Vinci, nothing less than this.
It's so great to see Eric behind the set again. He has always been an inspiration to drummers around the world. I saw him with Mccoy and Weather Report back in the 70s.
This is Great!
Master Drummer. (I can only think of 2 other drummers alive today that genuinely deserve this title.)
amazing! I Live in the USA but I was born in Cremona !
Heart of string instrument culture ❤
Dave is the FEDERER of drums!
Calderazzo deserves some praise and recognition too. The guy is an absolute LEGEND, and has played with the likes of Michael Brecker. Just a 10/10 musician in every conceivable way.
I probably watch this video 3-4x a week. Dave and Jon's intro is cold 🥶 😎
lovely, thank you so much.
I met Joey and John awhile back, really nice guys and totally dedicated to their craft.
We need more of this in this world. There was a time when Jazzers where stars. NOW look at music. It is garbage. This was a joy to listen to.
Thanx again for the goosebumps Dave!
Unreal! Superb musicality along with chops for days.
Magnifique 🤩 bravo 👏👏👏
Weckl, man, so smooth!!
Wonderful.
This is what happens when you play with someone with whom your're in tune. They're both excellent players and have been playing together for years.
I used to see Joey Caldeazzo stopping at jam nights in his hometown of New Rochelle, NY, right before he started playing with Michael Brecker. Super nice guy - and a beast!!
Perfect venue for this music!
Thanks for sharing a gem such as this!! Much appreciated 😮
Saw you guys in Berlin. Great show!!!
It must have been great playing there in such a wonderful smaller auditorium with the audience up close like that.
Boy oh boy this is awesome
Sounds great! Thanks for posting @Dave 👍🏾👍🏾
Joey's rendition is outstanding.
It reminds me of Chick corea akoustic band!
Great tune! Incredible playing!
So good Gentlemen!!
Incredible!! What a fantastic trio!!
Musicians at the top of their game. Such smooth elegant playing.
Weckl tasteful and like liquid mercury!

Bellissimo concerto, ho avuto la fortuna di assistervi in prima fila, spettacolo indimenticabile.
Snare sounds INCREDIBLE!
Dave Weckl is a magician when it comes to drumming. And it seems so easy it drives me nuts!😂
Great performance. And fab quality video footage too.
Brilliant !
Jazz and Classical Music make à New World of Art.
Still tearing it up, Mr Weckl!
Speechless...
What a delight! Looking forward to the Project European Tour
