    Is there a difference between red or green laser and is one better than the other?

    Looks like a pretty good unit. Does it have a pressure pad available for those that like that style of off and on ?

      Not that I know of. But I don’t think it’s necessary with this model

    Couldn’t you sight in the Lazer parallel to the bore and always be off 2” and reach out further without having the offset accumulate with distance?

    • @MarkKratzMC
      @MarkKratzMC  Рік тому

      Yes then you only have bullet drop to consider. But personally I would rather miss low. We used them in SWAT. Problems having them on the side we’re having to shoot around hard corners or moving down narrow hallways. It also creates another point for something to get hung up on. Also shooting over barriers or under vehicles, You may want to run your gun horizontal.

    What are your thoughts on putting this on the top of a mossberg shockwave? Thanks

      No, putting a laser on a shotgun is not a bad idea since you were dealing with shorter ranges. But if you’re thinking that check this one out. ua-cam.com/video/bWs4eMdAOlM/v-deo.html

      Yes, they were one of the first manufacturers of pistol grip lasers.

      They're actually a vetted company

    Absolute waste of money!! It's very difficult to get the laser zeroed because it does not move in tiny increments. But the worst part is once you get it zeroed and fire the first round, it's no longer zero.

      @MarkKratzMC  Рік тому +2

      All lasers are a waste of money for the average shooter. Spend the money on a good weapons light. I moved the unit to a rifle I made for someone who is legally blind so they can point and shoot without having to use sights.

    This is the wrong way to zero your laser. Mounting on the side is perfectly fine if you do a parallel zero and over bore should also be a parallel zero. If you zero at 50 yards, the laser should be about 2 inches left when mounted on left side, 2 inches right if mounted on right side, or 2 inches high when mounted on top pic rail. I'm saying 2 inches but it should be the distance from the center of the barrel to the actual laser.
    Trying to cowitness like you're doing is only going to be accurate at that distance. Move to 50 or 100 yards and your holds will be ridiculous.
    This info sounds pretty bad coming from a "firearms instructor".

      I can’t see any practical use for a laser over 25 yards. I actually see no practical use for them unless using them for CQB with NVG’s. We used them on the police department and realistically in a gun fight, taking time to aim is will get you killed. When clearing rooms with a NVG’s as you are just referencing the point of light in zero light conditions, where range to target, is 7 yards or less.

      You should humor yourself and watch this follow up video. Or not. It’s OK to have a different opinion, you do you, I do me kind of thing, but to try and insult somebody for their opinion is juvenile at best. I was on a SWAT team and on the first police department in the nation to issue lasers on their handguns. We routinely trained with the FBI current and former special operations personnel. There’s a reason why special operations forces do not mount there lasers on the side. You can Google image it. In this video, I explain the rationale. You’re Mounting Your Laser Sight Wrong!
