You can use oven cleaner to remove the anodizing and strip it down to bare aluminum. A couple of passes on a polishing wheel and it will match your polished rifle. So sweet!
Yeah, disassemble the light and just put the housing in a Tupperware or aluminum pan. Get a can of Easy-Off or even the dollar store brand and spray it completely in the foam. Let it sit for about 5 minutes then take a toothbrush and it should wipe right off. If it doesn’t, hit it again and wait another 5 minutes and repeat the process until it’s all gone. Make sure to remove any steel hardware such as screws or nuts as they may corrode. Also make sure there’s nothing but the housing in the easy off. It will eat plastic and rubber. When that’s done rinse it off with cool water and dry. Then take some polishing paste on a Dremel with a felt tip or polishing wheel to it and you can get it to a mirror shine.
Whats up there! And I typically use the same color for each kinda hard to find a good quality red dot in a different color. But I do have an upper running a aimpoint red dot and a blue laser. I don’t hate it. They’re both zeroed in and kinda cool.
You can get the black anodizing off with oven cleaner easy off the yellow can then what I found worked best was to sand with 400 grit and then 600 grit then finish with 800 grit keeping the sandpaper wet with wd40 then polish with mothers aluminum polish, it's alot of elbow grease and time to polish by hand so I'd recommend using a power/air too to polish. you should never mount a laser on the side. Why? Once you get past point of zero the laser will be off to the left or right further as you go past point of zero. On top or bottom is best. You may be off but it will be either high or low but still on target.

Have you taken them outdoors yet? If so how would you describe the MOA size on them at longer ranges? Does the beam stay tiny or does it expand to a larger size? I'm considering the IR model for NV thanks
Great question. I have taken it to the range on sunny day but I was only shooting around the 40-50 yards and it was visible. Not to bright. But it was very sunny. Hope that helps. Needless to say it’s the best laser I own.

I kind of like this one because you're not obligated to use it just on the bottom of a setup due to the handstop portion aspect. Besides I'm just gonna be using a sionyx aurora camera as a NV device anyways so I don't need nothing too fancy. Just wanted to make sure the dot isn't the size of a football at 100 yards like some cheap lasers. Thanks
You should have got Green... Green is the best for all lasers. He bought the blue because it looks more cooler... But also a disadvantage compared to Green.
It’s been mentioned here in the comments already. But you don’t have to take my word for it. It is the best laser I own. Aside from that you can read 100s of reviews on Amazon from verified shoppers. It meet my needs. Battery life I have not charge it once in my time using it and owning it.

I like this laser mainly for the fact that it is in line with the bore so no matter the distance it should be on target,lasers that mount under the bore tends to change depending on the yardage you set it up for,but being in line with the bore,it seems it would stay kn target from 0-100 & so on.
@@jdeclaire1986 u seem to not understand the physics ur talking about. yes bullet drop exists. no it wont effect where ur shooting at all with a laser like this. why? because ull NEVER hit a point where bullet drop effects it BEFORE u cant see the laser. ull not be able to see the laser LONG before bullet drop has any effect. lasers are for close encounters, not long distance shooting. bullet drop effects long distance shoot, not so much close encounters. so yes bullet drop is a thing but no it doesnt effect this at all and has no part in it.

Neat but kind of pointless in a post apocolyptic world with no electricity. I prefer tritium sights in my optics and other toys that function on the easiest to scavenge types of batteries: AAA, AA, cr2032, cr123. That's the only way i set up my armaments.

The end point of a laser always expands.
so I guess if you zero it out on the side of the weapon you have to switch out the windage and elevation.

Just got one of these. I can’t really see the blue that well with my naked eye at 50 yds but it shows up through my 4x sight pretty well still.
