You speak English beautifully... Thank you so much for that! You knitted those socks? OMG! The designs and details...You are very talented. Your house is "STURDY BUILT" IT will last a very, very long time...Homes are not built in this way anymore. Your home is made out of real strong materials. It is Christmas Season now, and I am hoping that if you celebrate it, you will post us a video of your traditional decorations...It has been a pleasure to see how others live in foreign lands... Thank you for your hard work, effort, and your time! Greetings from middle Georgia, USA!!!
My husband and I live in a farmhouse which is 135 years old and you are correct that old houses have a special atmosphere. I feel that they have a heart and soul which newer homes don't have. We've also found interesting old tools and objects around our farm which had been abandoned and forgotten. I like to think about how they were used in the past and the stories behind them. Thank you for sharing your home with me. It is lovely and warm and welcoming, as are you.
So much charm, so much warmth, so much magical femininity - enlivened by a rarely pure and extremely sensitive, innocent soul that warms your heart to see and experience! - Thank you for the gift of participation in this life in the far north!
I may be mistaken, but I thought I read somewhere that Finland unfortunately has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Perhaps those are the people who feel stress as this young woman did, but do not move to the northern wilderness to live the simple life. I think she has a very beautiful home but apparently she and her husband have clung to the modern, urban custom of not reproducing. (Yes, of course it is possible they cannot have a child.)
@@martaacosta4415 I heard the same. In Finland much alcohol and much depression in those areas where the sun never rises for weeks. - The most happy country in Europe with the highest self-contented level is Denmark, so they say.
I think you ve got it wrong there! I was partly brought up in Sweden and I can tell you I haven't been back for 20 years! Darkness for most of the year, very depressing! Finland is the same. That is probably why most wealthy Scandinavians spent most of their time in Spain and the south of France.
Dear Sanna, met you in your blog about washing sweaters in the snow, then went with you on a ski into the quiet forest, and then the arrival of the seeds. Now my third visit with you the tour of your new - 4 mo in the home. Love your home, as an old soul you are connected with all the life lived in your home Beginning in the 1800’s . Many floor plans in our country combine an open kitchen / family room concept with a fire place. Something’s never change. Also antiques are used for decorations. 👀 looking forward to your updated pictures that you will hang on the wall. ❤
I am in agreement with you on the “not perfect home”. Mine is crooked also. I say, perfectly imperfect is pretty perfectly pleasing. Side note, this is the best rule for cakes also. Your home is so welcoming and clean and tidy and perfect and beautiful. Old homes are just so special.
Thank you for opening your lovely home to us, Sanna! This is only the second video of yours that I have watched, and I look forward to seeing more. I find peace in listening to your sweet voice and looking at your pretty face while you are narrating your videos. This is my perfect antidote to de-stressing after a long day at the office. With gratitude for your art and your music ~ Beverly in Boulder, Colorado USA
Thank you for inviting me into your sweet farm house in the woods, with its lovely wildflower bouquets and wild animals and beautifully knit sweaters and socks. Do you bake yourself cookies? I hope so. All so peaceful and serene. I'll visit you again soon. Mary Ann, Chicago, USA.
This is the first video I have seen of yours, and I am so impressed! Your house is so charming and historical. I imagine there’s a sense of respect and reverence about the place.
Thank you so much, and welcome to my little corner of the world ☺❤ This house does feel like it has a soul of its own. We are here just trespassing in this house ☺
I am so glad that I ran across your videos!! You are so beautiful and sweet!! I love your beautiful home that is 175 yo. !! It's hard to believe. The Good Lord has blessed you!!❤🙏
I, too, am new. I subscribed right after seeing the video on “snow washing”. You are so sweet and your home is beautiful. Imperfections in older, well built homes give it character and warmth. I love that fireplace, too ❤ Finland looks beautiful!
I like the fact that you use the world universal fix of duct tape on your door. I also like the masonry heater you fixed. I'm also glad that you have kept the hand tools. You will have them if you need to use them. I like your house and your unicorn reindeer. I'm glad the house has such a good inhabitant. Happy for you.
I had not realized that you DID find your dream house. It is very very special and I love it! The house has its own personality. It is both humble yet majestic in its own way. The stone fireplaces add such a unique aspect to the home. They seem to be coaxing a person to just revel in the moment, accept their simplicity and functionality. They were built for a purpose which they are fulfilling even up until this day. My country worships youth, but there is a great depth of wisdom in the elderly and deep meaning to be absorbed
I love your home and your videos. I live in the US but have family in Lahti. My grandfather immigrated to the US from Viitasaari. My dream is to visit beautiful Finland someday. Thank you for sharing so much beauty with us.❤
Hello Sanna, I love your house, so much history, traditions, it seem to be so calm and cosy! I'm living in France, but I'm originary from Romania. Your house was remembering me that in our traditional old houses, we have also the small room ( camera mica) and the big room (camera mare) for guests, my grand-parents had an old house and we were not aloud to go in the guests room. And we have the same carpets handmade, that womens made them on the weaving old machine. it's also something from our tradition, similar as yours. I'm happy to see that in the european north and eastern countries we have similar traditions. I love Finland, I love your videos! Best regards, Mihaela❤
I absolutely love your home tour. Thank you so much. When I am abroad I always have this feeling inside me ,wishing to see the inside of people's homes. This is very interesting tour. May God bless you with a very happy blessed life in your home .
I love your videos and your music. You live in a northern paradise. I think you are very blessed to be living your dream life, with your very special partner.
Dear Sanna, it's beautiful all together. You're a wonderful person, and I wish you Gods blessings and I hope you will come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. For He only can give eternal peace, peace with God. With love, Petra ❤
Thanks for sharing your home. It looks very nice and cozy. It’s nice to see someone who appreciates things from times past. Enjoy your home and beautiful scenery around you in which you live.
Your Home is BEAUTIFUL…..Something about the PAST Families makes it even more special…..I look forward to seeing U making it Yours…. That Large Room with Your TABLE call it Your FAMILY ROOM…….
What a beautiful house you live in! It seems to be the perfect house you were looking for. In the United States, we call a large room with dining, living, and sometimes kitchen a "Great Room". Your great room is magnificent with the old large logs it is made from. I'm sure you are very thankful to live there ❤
I loved seeing your lovely home and you're very sweet. I too am in an old home, 1926, not as old as yours but I know what you mean, I love it too. Blessings to you.
You have a lovely home. It is remarkable how old it is and still liveable. Your sweaters are beautiful and your dog so sweet. Thank you for showing us your unique and beautiful home.
16:09 =7= oooOooo did you see the lovely spirit being float on down to bless your crown, honoring how they helped match you to this sweet home? I took some stills and recognize the signature, having honored their visits this way for several years now. It is always wondrous to feel the fae realms grace someone as they did here, and you are so lovely in all you have achieved, taking care of yourself, opening to true love, both of the land and of your man, helping us to know how we can love ourselves, too. Truly, it is a treasure to enjoy your home with you, something very very few people would ever witness. thank you
So lovely to see your video. And your beautiful old traditional house. It just seems perfect that you, who understands and appreciates the history of the house. now lives there. It's a very happy and peaceful house.
I enjoyed the tour of your home, Sanna. My husband and I live in a newly built home (by necessity), but my soul resonates with the old. We live in the beautiful mountains located in the eastern part of America. We also have a wood stove to keep us warm and toasty in the winter. I love that nod to the past. I would call your big room which you had no English word for the “great room.” It’s a newer term in America for a multi-functional, usually larger room often toward the middle of the home where family and friends gather to eat and spend time together. Again, thanks for the tour. 😊
Thaaank you Sanna for sharing you beautiful house and surroundings, as well as your beautiful music. My very best wishes from the island of Chiloé in the south of Chile
I set out my crochet to do while I watch UA-cam videos, but when I watched this one, I couldn't crochet - so much to look at and enjoy in your video! Thanks for sharing it 😍
What a beautiful place! I could not live there tho, I had my fair share of years in Sweden and I still don't know how people can live there. Such a long winter and a very short summer!!
Haha Even in remote Finland you have issues with the four legged friends who enjoy eating the fruits of our labor! 😂. Here in New Jersey our munchers are deer and they have a knack for eating all the flowers 🌸. I love your videos. They are inspiring and heartfelt. ❤
Thank you for this, so very interesting and very similar to my Finnish great grandparents house in Pajala Sweden, near the Torne River. Beautiful and so are you!
Sanna, I am so happy for you! I know this is a year late but I have watched your videos from the beginning and I love that you guys found such a wonderful home. I know you wanted this for so long and it is seriously perfect. Your happiness can be felt through this video. Love it! Warm wishes from Wisconsin
Your house is so cosy, Sanna! I love all the old wood and the quirky fireplaces 🤍. I used to live in a 150 year old house that was part of a wood mill. It’s fun to imagine what life was like in such places when they were first built. They’re very “soulful” 🥰. Thank you for sharing 🤍🤍
I'm so glad I found your channel! Your smile is absolutely lovely. Your house reminds me of my grandparents' home in Pyhäjärvi. The pirtti looked very similar, but their tupa was smaller. Your videos are wonderful and I look forward to seeing more of your idyllic life. Terveisiä Floridasta!
In US people may call a room with your big fireplace a great room or hearth room. A place to gather. Do you have a video about how you found your home? I saw one when you where looking but couldn’t find anything. This home seems perfect!
Thank you for the tour of your home. It looks very comfortable and solidly built. I like the old stove in the kitchen as well as the fireplaces. You will have to tend the fires in the winter. Your music at the end was very nice, thank you!
I just discovered your channel and I can't believe what an amazing country Finland is. I'm following a couple of ladies, one lives in Helsinki and the other one just outside of Helsinki. Your part of Finland is totally different. The nature in your country is so beautiful. You are a lovely lady and your dog Papu is so sweet. Your house is amazing. I love your lifestyle. Please keep producing more of these videos. For those of us who live in big cities (Sydney, Australia) your part of the world is like an escape from the madness of the rat race and all the traffic and rushing around. I wish you and your spouse a happy and healthy new year. ❤🍀
I love the sweaters you knit, they are so beautiful! You are very talented. Your house is very warm and inviting. I'm form Argentina and live in northern California. The infinite differences of our life experience as humans is fascinating to me. Thank you for giving us a glimps into your life.
Beautiful old house with history. Watching from Australia from an older house. Love that musical instrument, your scenery, dog & reindeer. Glad to have found your channel.
I love your old house. Beautiful! I grew up in a house that was built in 1889, I loved it! Your large room, we would call it the great room. Great rooms here consist of the family room, dining room and kitchen. Thank you so much for the tour, just lovely!
Such a beautiful home! I love the age and history of the place. Your right about feeling the energy in that big room. And all those knitted jumpers, wow! Thankyou for sharing your sanctuary with us. Veronica x
I have only recently found you. And I really enjoy your videos so much. I can truly mentally emotionally relate to the things that you say about that whole house. I hope someday in the future that I too will have a house like that with all those nice things that you have. I have a nice house now it’s 50 years old. But it’s not 175. But I love my home like you love yours. And you will make many happy memories in your home. That house was meant to last forever, don’t you thinkquestion thank you for sharing
I just found your channel and have enjoyed your video. You have a beautiful home and the ways you have honored its past and its history should be gratifying. It is true when you say that nothing in nature has straight lines, so why should the house. Simplicity brings a sense of comfort to our everyday lives.

I just found your page and wow, you inspire me!! Everything you do is beautiful. I like in America (North Dakota) and often despise the winter months. Your view on winter and seasons is so hopeful to me. Can’t wait to follow along more!🫶
you are so lucky to live in beautiful historic house. My country has lost most of it n I am very sad. I wish to live an old house . Please continue to preserve history n never let anyone to destroy memories n cultures. Love to see more.
I would love to have a house like this I use to visit my finnish grandmothers in their old farmhouses Fond memories of singing home the cows from the forest and taking the in hay from the field , with a farm horse and wooden carriage ❤
This is my first visit w you and it was so relaxing to tour your home w you. I love love the fireplaces! And your very own Unicorn! Thank you. You knitted all your sweaters! I love that! You have wrapped your arms around your home and loved it, we can tell. This video is so beautiful. And your English is very good too:) I can't wait to watch more:) How did you learn to knit? Your mother? a book? Best wishes from Florida!
Wow, such a beautiful house you have ❤ Ihania yksityiskohtia!
I am becoming obsessed with your channel. Your amazing, beautiful house reminded me my early childhood time when I lived with my great uncle in the rural Lithuania. The aesthetic, the wild flowers are very similar.
Well, aren't you perfectly lovely! So glad I found your channel, and I'm looking forward to your daily life posts. "Home is where the heart is" is what we Americans say, and your home and life certainly have a great deal of 'heart'!
I would love it if you posted more kantele snippets in your videos, I'm learning kantele and for me the best way to learn is to see and hear someone else play and then emulate that. Both my kanteles sound a little different from yours but this melody turned out nice from them anyway.
I feel like UA-cam opened a portal to where fair maidens from times long past, flowers and peace prevail.

I love your home and how you appreciate its crookedness. we need more human beings like you on the planet. thanks for your videos, they are great!
The purplish flowers at the beginning and end were so nice to see. Fireweed, I haven’t seen since I lived in Yukon, Canada in 1962.
I, too, am new. I subscribed right after seeing the video on “snow washing”. You are so sweet and your home is beautiful. Imperfections in older, well built homes give it character and warmth. I love that fireplace, too ❤ Finland looks beautiful!

Nice and peaceful home. I never thought wooden houses could ever last so long being so open to the weather.
Wood is amazing! It lasts as long as it can dry after getting wet from snow and rain ☺️

Thank you 🥰💙 Ah, great room sounds a bit like we call it. Maybe I'll start using that words, thanks!
Such a cozy and homey house. You have a beautiful home and grounds. Very serene and peaceful.

You have a beautiful home, I love all the fireplaces and ovens.
You have such a special soul! ❤
Its home sweet home that's all that matters 🏡
🇺🇸🇫🇮
Your face glows with divine beauty, the sparkling light of forevermore.
I send my love and goodwill and thanks.

Beautiful , beautiful !!! Greetings from the Netherlands.
Well, aren't you perfectly lovely! So glad I found your channel, and I'm looking forward to your daily life posts. "Home is where the heart is" is what we Americans say, and your home and life certainly have a great deal of 'heart'!
Thank you, and welcome here☺💙
Какой у вас красивый и надежный дом! Это счастье жить в нем!
I would love it if you posted more kantele snippets in your videos, I'm learning kantele and for me the best way to learn is to see and hear someone else play and then emulate that. Both my kanteles sound a little different from yours but this melody turned out nice from them anyway.
That's a good idea, I will definitely keep it in mind ☺
