Outstanding playtthrough/tutorial. I went through the tutorial in the rulebook, but it didn't quite sink in. Your video is exactly what I needed, thank you!
After a break from the game I needed a refresh on the rules before playing , this was exactly what I needed. Fantastic playthrough and explanations thank you!
You've merged Engage and Foreboding. Engage: must attack, Foreboding: must reveal it. (maybe it was changed between editions). I still love your combined playthrough/tutorial videos, you focus the camera perfectly and give really good explanations.
13:50 You mention that “we are allowed to ask them what units they are planning on using but we are not allowed to know how they are actually stacking up these units” This is wrong per the rulebook in Pg. 12, in the paragraph under the example of a stacked unit, it states “However, you are permitted to ask a player that goes before you in turn order which units they are deploying and in what order, before locking in your deployment stack.” So if you are the first player you cannot ask for any information but the second player can ask and receive the information.
I must say the board game take on the MOBA videogame genre is a rather interesting concept. I think the poker chips are a nice touch and probably a whole lot cheaper for production than miniatures and different markers and still look great. I do wonder though how a 3+ game works with regards to the minions since they *have* to march towards an opponent's fortress. Great video as always, clear, concise, and above all entertaining.
When you play with more than 2 players you have to decided at the start of each round which opponent you'll have all your forces march towards. Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Thanks for the video. John I'm a bit confused. There were times when it appeared (such as in min 29) where you removed all the health chips from a fighter, but you said they still had one health remaining. Am I misunderstanding something? Thanks, keep up the good work.
I wanted to ask about the campfire rule. From my undersranding yhe grovtender shoild not be allowed to use his hero when you have nu normal units in play. Have I misunderstood that rule?
Appreciate the video but with the amount of mistake made that carry on throughout the video it seems like a good idea may have been to re record the whole thing with corrections. Having to remember all the mistakes from the beginning of the video for 45min makes for a difficult watch.
The mistakes are unfortunate, but the time required to re-film made that not a possibility while also adhering to the rest of my schedule. The filming alone of this video took 11 hours, and then another 7 hours to edit it meant finding 18 hours to re-do it was just not doable unfortunately.
best playthrough ever! I hope u can do the same with "fractal beyond the void" that is one of my favourite games ever and none has done a real long exaustive playtrought!
I'm glad you enjoyed this. It's unlikely that game will have a video at this time, I haven't been contacted by the publisher and don't know anyone with a copy.

Thanks! This video helped me finally feel confident enough to play the game.

Thank you, Jon 😄
An outstanding video as always Jon!
Great tutorial, thanks!
3:11 Holy off-center-sticker-on-the-mini harvester-market-chip Batman!
42:18 Dywen has an attack upgrade so he must deal 2 damage instead of one
Ah, good catch. I've added a note to the Klingon subtitles about this, thanks!

Huh, that's a really good point. I'll add a note to the Klingon subtitles, thanks!

Unfortunately, it's been too long since I played this game to remember the rules enough to answer your question. Sorry about that!

I think you are correct, Jon Olsen.
Thank you for showing up the game. It's cool but I'm glad I didn't spend ludicrous amount of money for it.
I know what you mean, I passed on it due to the price and was afraid I was going to regret it!
Ogrecrusher you should regret it.
just got cloudspire, the two expansions and TMB for 150 brand new on ebay lol....just gotta look and find someone willing to take an offer.

What is the point of making a tutorial video where you teach mistakes and then correct them with text?? Three times in a row already...
Yeah, i mean making mistakes in a game with such low level of complexity is absolutely incomprehensible.
The point is that any idiot that can read can follow along
