The manual/player guide is unnecessarily wordy/repetitive/ somehow also difficult. I like reading though manuals and learning a game usually but I found this one a little harder than usual

Not too long ago I was a beginner in board games stuff. I wasn't even aware that solo games exist until not long ago. But then I bumped into your Star Wars The Clone Wars from Pandemic video, and slowly started to crave for more and more. The way you organise the guides is trully magnificent. You easely explain all the rules, making everything clear while also enthusiastically "dragging" the viewer in the right mood for the game you explain the rules for. Your tutorials are just too well balanced when it comes to information and entertainment, never too dismissive about the rules, but at the same time never boring So far, you teached me how to play many games, and because of you my passion for board games (especially solo ones) ignited. Your videos are the ultimate way of learning how to play, easy and enjoyable, something you can't find very often in other tutorials. So here I am today, learning how play Final Girl, realising how many times your videos helped me and wishing to let you know how amazing your work is. I like how there is little note to read after you win with one of the final girls. It specifically says after you win with this finale girl please read. This game is so cool with little surprises everywhere.

What a fantastic and thorough explanation of the rules - thanks! With something like the archery bow which has ammo tokens, can I use them all in one turn as long as I have enough time to pay/resolve the action?
That's my understanding, but I tend to avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website. I hope you can find your answer there - have fun playing!
Hi Rodney. Just have to say many thanks' for this video. I did watch it before I ordered the game and you are explaining it so well that even I can make it. Came back to it a few times for clarifications. Just so you know. Played it 8 times now and I almost made it once. So no victory yet. But I having a lot of fun. Got the hole season 1. Have only played Camp happy Trails. 1 with Reiko as you made an example of here, and 7 times as Laurie. I thought it was easier. I guess the dice aren't on my side. Not the card either. But have I made it every time it would be in the bin quite fast. So great game and looking forward to season 2. All the best from Norway.

Thanks for making this video. I'm a kickstarter backer, and this has me hyped to play. Something that stood out to me was the box construction. It seems like one wrong nudge might cause the magnetic lids to break open, and the choice to make the playing board double as the outer box cover seems like it might cause undue damage to said board if not stored very carefully. Normal box wear and tear *usually* isn't an issue for the inside contents, but now we have a new problem.
Waiting for my copy here on the West Coast of the lower 48. Hopefully the ports in Florida aren't as snarled as the ones here. But thank you for making the wait a bit shorter by 38 minutes, Rodney.

The production is so slick. After hearing about it during AwSHUX from your conversation with Quinns (which was amazing btw) I knew I HAD to have it. Very interested in Hostage Negotiator aswell after the SU&SD review but it’s difficult to find currently.

Hi, the video is very clear in explaining many game rules. I have just one confusion in resolving dice. If I roll 4 dice, how is a two star (all success so that top row in action card is used), one star (partial success so that middle row of action card is used) and failure (last row of action card) resolved? If there are two 5s and two 1s, does that mean it is a complete success since two are successes?
Thanks for the clarification. So if we move towards red side on the horror track where we get to roll only one die, so does that mean there can never be complete success, since the result is only partial success even if it is a 6?

I know it’s a bit of a late message but I hope you can clarify my last doubt after watching your video…if at the end of the Action phase I still have some action cards in my hand, do I have to discard them and then buy what I can with the remaining time, or I can keep them for my next Action phase? Because if the second case is true, then I added another layer of difficulty to my game without knowing 😂😂
Hi Zack, traveling right now, so not easy for me to look up the answer, but I am confident the video is clear about what happens to your cards at the end of a round, so check that section and you should be good to go.

Normal box wear and tear *usually* isn't an issue for the inside contents, but now we have a new problem.
I haven't had any concerns, but I suppose it will depend on how they are treated. Seem like pretty sturdy construction. Time will tell!

The production is so slick. After hearing about it during AwSHUX from your conversation with Quinns (which was amazing btw) I knew I HAD to have it. Very interested in Hostage Negotiator aswell after the SU&SD review but it’s difficult to find currently.

Stumbled across your channel and now I’m inspired to try so many board games. I’m new to the hobby other than monopoly and other standard games. I love the look of red rising and wingspan so far. Can anyone recommend any other great games that are similar to these ?
Welcome to the channel and the hobby Leo! I tend to avoid giving personalized recommendations. What I like, someone else might not - but hopefully you see a few games on here that might be what you are looking for! And maybe some other viewers might have some suggestions (I'll share one little suggestion, if you like what you're seeing here with Final Girl, maybe check out mansions of Madness 2nd edition, also on this channel).

Hi, the video is very clear in explaining many game rules. I have just one confusion in resolving dice. If I roll 4 dice, how is a two star (all success so that top row in action card is used), one star (partial success so that middle row of action card is used) and failure (last row of action card) resolved? If there are two 5s and two 1s, does that mean it is a complete success since two are successes?
As long as you get (or can make with discards) 2 stars, that's a complete success.
Thanks for the clarification. So if we move towards red side on the horror track where we get to roll only one die, so does that mean there can never be complete success, since the result is only partial success even if it is a 6?

Thanks Rodney, this was very helpful! Santa's elves were able to snag The Haunting of Creech Manor and the Slaughter in the Groves scenarios (along with the core box) and holy moly are they tough! Looking forward to facing Hans at some point, but that's for a future video.

Hey! I know it’s a bit of a late message but I hope you can clarify my last doubt after watching your video…if at the end of the Action phase I still have some action cards in my hand, do I have to discard them and then buy what I can with the remaining time, or I can keep them for my next Action phase? Because if the second case is true, then I added another layer of difficulty to my game without knowing 😂😂
Hi Zack, traveling right now, so not easy for me to look up the answer, but I am confident the video is clear about what happens to your cards at the end of a round, so check that section and you should be good to go.
