I've been exposed to so many wonderful stories because of it, and if course LeVar is an incredible narrator--but you don't have to take my word for it. 😉

I'm looking forward to seeing this! Levar made Reading Rainbow so iconic. It feels weird that we're no longer in this same space where books are concerned (for some people), but for many of us this show change our lives for the better. Thank you, Levar and thank you PBS! ❤
It just occurred to me that this doc came out in 2022. Not sure what’s up with the 2024 in the post.
Reading Rainbow was great. I'm lucky to have grown up at a time when it was still on TV. LeVar was the perfect host for that show. Seeing kids my age reviewing books was one of my favourite segments. 💎

as a millenial who grew up in nyc and didn't have cable, channel 13 aka PBS was a staple in my home and this documentary is beautiful. caught a screening of it at tribeca, and boy did it deliver. thank you, levar for instilling a love of books, reading, and learning in not just me but people all over the world.
My teacher put this show on for us back in 98 my favorite episode is when he did a show tour around my neighborhood in East LA.

"Tight Times" was my favorite Reading Rainbow book. The little boy wanted a pet, a dog, but ended up with a cat and named it "Dog." The illustrations were amazing.
