Wonderful telling of Jason and the Argonauts. In some versions, after Media left in a chariot, Jason was mourning his children while visiting the Argo and a rotted timber caused it to collapse on him and thats how he died.

Like he’s a penniless old man now because of his betrayal of Medea so he just lives on the beach and spends his days sitting beneath the Argo thinking about his past. The fact that Hollywood hasn't adapted the legends of these characters in any meaningful way has me totally baffled. An argonauts movie could do just as well as an Avengers movie if they did it properly.
Now that we have the Iliad, the Twelve Labors, and now the Argonauts, along with so many heroes in Greek mythology. One story left to see illustrated would be Damon and Pythias.

There is a great fable called The Ring of the Niebelungen. Richard Wagner composed 4 operas based on this. Tolkein wrote The Lord of the Rings with this in mind. By all means, check it out.
