Fyi, Mozart was considered the bad boy of music , 1) he wrote songs in languages other than the traditional Italian so common people could see how beautiful their own language was and understand it. 2) His songs and operas were considered vulgar, not fit for polite company. 3) The man himself was known to have a "God given talent but the the morals of one of Satan's fallen" I believe is now his father described him. Not something he wanted to take blame for as his patron was among the clergy.
Not as bad as Lizst :-)
@@chickinchainmailI mean, Mozart had a song called " lick me in the ass". Was lizst worse?
mozart also wrote songs like "leck mich im arsch" wich means "lick my ass"
such an interesting comment, thank you for sharing this!
Rock me Amadeus
Apocalyptica is probably the band that started this style or at least the ones that brought up genre up to the forefront. They have all types of covers, but they also have their own stuff.
I remember years ago, they were in town, (Shop by night) and it was a free concert and was wondering why did I hear Metallica :) so stayed for some cool Cellos :)
2Cellos were a Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained cellists Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser.
They continue to be active as solo performers.
@dipl.kucanica4317 actually Luka Šulić is slovenian, not croatian
@@lenarts8050Luka Šulić (born 25 August 1987) is a Slovenian-Croatian cellist. He was a member of 2CELLOS, along with Stjepan Hauser. ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luka_%C5%A0uli%C4%87 )
@@lenarts8050 There is nothing more hateful than the different yugoslavians to each other.... I asked a croatian how to tell the difference between a croatian name and a bosnian name and dude straight up said bosnian names sound more ethnic.... Thats like me saying the difference between Tyler and Tyrone is Tyrone sounds more ethnic, like wtf. Only a person from a different group inside yugoslavia would whine that you claimed someone was croatian when you think they are slovenian.
you forgot to write, both of them have completed doctorates in playing the cello
according to their qualifications, they can be professors at the music academy
@@lenarts8050 actually he is both.his father is croat.half of his family is in Croatia. He got house in Croatia beside one in Slovenia. To be precise his father was born, raised, schooled in Croatia. Not sure in which point of his life he moved to Slovenia. Luka never said he is not Slovenian or not croat. He actually said he is a mix, so why don't you all nationalisticaly charged Yugoslavians stop counting other people's blood cells. If it would be by you war would still be going on..
2Cellos (Stjepan Hauser & Luka Sulic) studied cello as youths in Croatia and came to prominence in 2011 when they released a UA-cam video of them performing a cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" that went viral. The video was spotted by Elton John who called them personally and invited them to join his concert tour as an opening act. They toured with Elton for several years before going out on their own concert tours. Both are accomplished classical cellists and both are laureates of international competitions and awards. Their concerts are just dynamic and entertaining. The performed their final concert in Zagreb, Croatia in September 2022 and both continue with solo careers. Oh, and powdered wigs are still worn by Judges and Barristers in England and New Zealand but are mostly ceremonial now.
Please check out their coverage of Michael Jackson Smooth Criminal and They Don't Really Care About Us. They also did Smells Like Teen Spirit Live at the Sydney Opera House in Australia. The live performance will blow your mind.
Highway to Hell too, with Stevie Vai.
Wake me up - Avicii
Mozart absolutely was a rockstar of his day, he did things that nobody else in music was doing at the time , there were riots at his performances, he drew a new generation to his music, ticked all the boxes...
Wild playing of an instrument I love. So pleased to have come across this reaction.
Apocalyptica was doing this in the late 90s. Always loved their stuff. But these guys took it to another level. Too bad they aren't touring anymore.
They, when together, could play anything. They are trained classical cellists who are as good as any on earth.
The use of wigs was started by King Louie the thirteenth to cover hos baldness. The rest of the court emulated his look and it soon became fasionable. The power in the wigs was to keep away paradites and stuff odor since the wigs were rarely washed.
Classical music training is some of the toughest becauseof the insane levels of expectation (those composers were geniuses in their own right), so when you apply that training to other genres it can get crazy. I honestly just love watching those bows get frayed in a matter of seconds. 😂
"I guess you guys aren't ready for that, yet. But your Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandkids are gonna love it."
-Martin McFly Beethoven"
I love this cover of this song because it shows just how powerful Malcom was in ACDC and how he was the driving force. Dude in white is a machine playing Malcolm's guitar parts.
2 Cellos are fantastic, best from them in my personal opinion is "2cellos live at arena pula 2013" it's their home area and just amazing to watch, take the 1h 30m you won't be sorry.
They no longer tour together, but to see them live was an amazing experience. I saw them in Spain long ago.
2Cellos were badasses back in the day. i keep hoping they will get back together
Those 2 can make the cello sing they make them say words. Keep listening
The 2Cellos have a full catalog of covered rock songs that they've done. I discovered them about 8ish years ago and have since, seen them twice in concert. They are simply amazing. They no longer tour or work together as the 2Cellos however Stjepan Hauser still does world tours. My FAV song they do is Despacito - I first heard at my first concert. So gorgeous. A couple of other favorite songs are Hallelujah, Candle in the Wind (Elton John), The Show Must Go On (Queen) and Imagine (Lennon).
In Europe 2 cellos were very famous. Classico and crazy. ❤
It was released several years back even before guitar tapping became a thing... 2Cellos rocks ❤😂❤
they are FIRE! I love their classical music start, so lovely…morphing into AC/DC and rocking it! I see others have mentioned Apocalyptica as another group to check out, I couldn’t agree more!!!
Saw them live a few times. They are awesome live. They started with some light cover songs then they would get more fast paced and would start to rock out and bring out a drummer (who was fantastic as well). Their bows would start to shred really quick. Also like that the audience was wide ranging, from kids to grandparents.
One is from Slovenia, one is from Croatia. They studied music/chello in Vienna
You should check out their live performance at "arena di verona". Its truely amazing.
The percussive style they were using (staccato) has been around for a long time. For a classical example check out the opening passage of Mars from the planets suite by Holst
I'm going to see The Planets soon.
I love classical music and I love rock and roll..so when I discovered these guys a few years ago I was in heaven!!!!!!
2cellos has been around for a while, and as a fellow cellist, I love them!!
If music doesnt push you to try sometbing new, youve got issues.
Yall gotta see them do highway to hell. Stevie Vye even made an appearance.
Niccolò Paganini, was an Italian violinist and composer. He was the most celebrated violin virtuoso of his time, so much so the church wouldn't let him to be buried consecrated gound when he died in 1840 because of his widely rumored association with the devil, and wasn't buried until 1976. Dug up again in 1893 and then finally reinterred in a new cemetery in Parma in 1896.
Back in the day, it was all “Apocalyptic”! Amazing strings rock covers!
These young men were taught by their Grandfather. Who came here from Croatia in the 1930's with no money and his Cello. These guys have been on America's got Talent. They are phenomenal Cellists.
Well from across the pond ...In all my 75yrs on this earth...thought I had heard and seen everything..That is until these guys turned up. !! How talented and freaking awesome ? Love it so much....I want it included in my funeral Oh How I would love to see reactions ! Luckily my daughter can vouch I am of sound body and mind !! Shook my soul !!!
Never gets old. 🔥❤️🤘
THEY ARE the only people I know on this earth that can play cello's like this. They are the BEST!!
Check out Rob Scallon, Feuerstrings, Break of Reality, they all do Cello covers, Rob does many other instruments, including ones not traditional, including a shovel made guitar
2Cellos was also signed by Elton John's recording label. They have done some great covers. Check out their Smooth Operator.
2 cellos are spectacular! Every cover I’ve heard is fire!
2 of the best musicians ever born.
These guys are freaking awesome been following them for a long time and their live shows are awesome , thunderstruck live they impliment drums into it, they get creative with alot of covers we guys should take a dive into more of their stuff 😊
Niccolo Paganini was considered the “Devils” violinist to answer your question, although you are right in mentioning both Mozart & Beethoven as bad boys, there are probably more like Franz Liszt could be added to that list.
You should react to them doing Smells Like Teen Spirit at the Sydney Opera House!
I love 2Cellos! I think Mozart would have loved their work! Can you imagine if he were alive today all of the awesome music he would come up with (in addition to what he already did during his lifetime)?!!
They are 🔥🔥🔥
Tears
Paganini --- violinist that took Europe by storm and people literally believed he had made a deal with the devil. Movie was made about his life where David Garrett, arguably the most gifted violinist or our time, played the role of Paganini. Amazing. He actually was playing his violin in a pub, and strings started to break because he was a beast on the instrument, and he ended up finishing up the piece with only one string left. Check it out. The Devil's Violinist. AND your are soooooo late for the 2 Cellos party. but fear not, you can still get in.
The audience were THUNDERSTRUCK!
Yes Slovenian 🇸🇮 Luka Šulić and Croatian 🇭🇷 Stjepan Hauser , THE BALKAN POWER !!!!
Check out Apocalyptica. They first started out playing Metallica on four cellos. They then went on to add vocals, like Gavin Rossdale from Bush and Brent Smith from Shinedown. Check them out, seriously. I highly suggest “End of Me” with Gavin Rossdale.
Don is on point with his knowledge
Stravinsky and Vivaldi wrote very hard fast paced music for their times. You should check out Apoliptica. Three cellos and a drum. They rock hard.
There must be at least 3 tracks that they have recorded. At about 4:20 of the original video, the left one takes over the lead guitar and the other starts banging his cello, but the base riff goes continues. No problem to do that on stage, the good old Boss Loop Station can be used as 3rd instrument.
Being Aussie Thunderstruck is like one of our anthems and so far some have done covers that almost exceed the original, if you get time try to react to Steven Seagulls and or Leo Moracchioli's versions both incredible versions just like this one.
Actually there is a violinist they used to call the devil because of the way he played. He's one of the best violinists to ever live, Niccolo Paganini, with La Campanella being one of his most famous pieces. 2Cellos are amazing though.
Woo-Hoo! Love these guys. Love their "Smooth Criminal" by MJ. Glad to see you checking out the different instruments. As far as Chellos, my fav group is Apocalyptica. Those guys are really great at the Chello scene and do variety of genres. But, if I could get someone to check out the Harp Twins, it would good. They (Harp Twins) do a deal with "Iron Man" which changed my view of the whole music/instrument world. As well some of their originals are in class/genre of their own. Such as "Ice Troll" played with Volfgang Twins ... granted, not most cups of tea so to speak but Unique, nonetheless.
Ty did not know my head could be vibing than banging in the next moment. I'll look for more things from them.
the first time i saw them was on Americas got talent and the grand pa taught them they wanted to show the cello can rock a heavy rock song.
The funniest part was the kids jumping up and down in their seats in excitement and one getting chastised by their parent to sit still in their chair.
They wore those high ruffles collar because they're thyroid got really enlarged due to STD.
The cello guys were amazing!
Music is just the greatest thing.
I so often get suprised that you have not seen/heard some AWESOME bands/music. But then again, world is full great art....
Mozart would have absolutely loved this. He was the "Rocker" musician in his day. Stepping out of that comfort zone and pushing the musical boundaries.
I got 7 years of private violin lessons - i palyed in the shool orchestra. These two dudes are just f****** beasts.
These guys are 🔥
Ya Mozart Was Historically A Womanizing Brilliant Artist!!
They are amazing ❤
It was Mozart who stayed in trouble for breaking all the Rules and was by far the creative.
While they are from the same area, the met at the London Conservatory of Music, which is one of the top music schools in the world.
The Grandfather of Heavy Metal is Classical Music
One of the things people who are new to two cellos don't know is that they play both acoustic cellos and electric cellos, and the audio played in the music video is played on both acoustic and electric cellos even though only the acoustic are shown in the video.
People have been exploring music and tones since the beginning of time. Mixing instruments and sounds happened REALLy big in the 1960s and 70s. We are way beyond that and actually coming back to traditional now. Exploration in everything was the 60s-70s.
Yes! React to their "Technical difficulties" that is a problem even on a guitar, just...
My 6th grade orchastra teacher showed the class them doing smooth criminal at the end of the first week of class i was 12 at the time and it straight blew my mind and i have been a fan of them ever sense
These two were competitors for the longest time. Performing against one another at competitions.
Eventually they teamed up.
I saw them in concert in 2015... GREAT SHOW !!!! They played U2 and others.
I love 2Cellos!! Another great instrumental cover is by The Snake Charmer. =)
I want to see them in concert so badly
Absolutely SICK!!!
Yall need to check out Apocalyptica they're a cello metal band and absolutely phenomenal
Hauser and Dimash just released a snip of them performing together with the song `Ave Maria`
OMG I saw them in concert🎉! Absolutely amazing
Dang Y/T, didn't get a notification! 😡😤 I found it tho!😂 2 Cellos are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯✌️
Yay someone reacted to them!!!!
I hope you do more of these that was enjoyable
There is spicatto to the extreme. That’s where you bounce the bow of the string, and it is a very hard technique.
These guys were awesome!!!! I heard they are no longer together but they did some amazing covers from many genres. My favs are this one, The Trooper by Iron Maiden, and Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson
The Trooper is my favorite!!
I love the Eye of the Tiger by Survivor!
Shredding those bows!
I’ve seen them live! What a feast, phenomenal! So much fun..
They go through a ton of bows!
Cello, the most sensual of all the instruments ...
Definitely need to check out rockcellos they are insane with electric cellos
Metal music in classic arrangement sounds dope asf. My favorite genre.
You should also see their drummer (Dusan).. an animal on drums.
Thunderstruck live is SO much better. My personal favorite is the concert in Rome. Saw them twice in Detroit. Amazing!!
love two cellos
They are classical cellist. When you know how to read music there is nothing you can't play, provided you know how to play the instrument. They obviously are using a loopback peddle. But yes they are legit
Did you notice that the fingerboard is fretless. Like the acoustic bass. Normally I call that the "fretboard" when talking about guitars. Anyway TMI I know.
2 Cellos Cover of Smooth Criminal is Legendary
I started watching your colleague Anthony ray long back when he started his acapella journey. After Voice please cover of creepy thunderstruck is 1 of his favorite songs. I was going to put in a 2 cellos doing thunderstruck because I think he'd be really impressed. But then he listened to postmodern jukebox creep which is the video he watched with you When he was visiting. So my 1st request is for postmodern jukebox cover dream on featuring Morgan James. You'll find your singing you as stunning As Haley Reinhardt.
Apocalyptica is the band they formed, they feature different artists from across the full spectrum of styles.
That what type of family comment genuinely got me 🤣🤣🤣 all love ✌🏼❤️
You need to see them on America's got talent with their proud grandpa who taught them
Since you are willing to step out this far maybe I can get you to check out something that I think you'll enjoy. I honestly couldn't believe how much this group of people helped me through a depression. I only wish I could find more of their performances. I stumbled on their "the good, the bad,and the ugly" cover and they were actually my second rabbit hole ever. I think you'll like them even if you don't react to them. It's the eukele orchestra. Try em out
2cellos is SICK! as a former violinist, i approve of them 100000000%
