This man has been saying this since the early '70s. I listen to him and everything he is saying are really happening.
Actually since the mid 60s
He was talking about this kind of stuff in the late 50's
Nah the stuff he's referring to started in '47
Technically it started in the summer of '45
Carlin may have been a comedian, but more accurately he was a philosopher with a sense of humor. He was so far ahead of his time, the things he said back in the 70's-90's are even more applicable today. Please check out more of his material, it doesn't even matter what it is.
On a side note, I wish Carlin was still alive today in his prime to hear what he had to say about all the bs going on now. He'd have 3 special's a year at the rate of once in a lifetime historical events we're getting.
It's cool you say that. Carlin actually describes himself not as a comedian, but rather a writer who performs his own material
"It's called the 'American dream' because you've got to be asleep to believe it."
*BARS*
His HBO stand-up " It's Bad for Ya" was aired on March 1 2008. He died later that year on June 22.
But if this is "Life is worth Loosing" then yes, that was in 2005
It is, they didn't play the whole routine, they cut the first part of it, sadly
George Carlin was a total LEGEND! Thought provoking.
The sad part is, we hear him and agree with him, yet still continue doing the same things over and over again, electing the same people over and over again, not fixing the system that ALLOWS the businesses to buy the politicians, and allowing the politicians to enrich themselves at our expense.
Did you listen to Carlin? It doesn't matter who you vote for. They'll be bought off or removed like things have been for centuries. The good intentioned get cut out and the pawns stay.
Most aren't educated though
They're selected not elected
You're absolutely right!
George mentioned it in his routine. The media is bought and paid for. They even acknowledged that they put out 90% negative content on Trump. And now this show trial that's happening. 😤
He was a great philosopher I will swear by it!!! He knew what was happening long before we even had any idea. Now people wish they had listened.
GC did not see the future, he just read the past and present well... nothing really changed.
@@johnsmith-cw3wo That's why I said he was a philosopher not a clairvoyant. He saw the signs, the red flags, etc.
George was a damn savant…his early career, and the lean towards angry and bitter towards the end of his life…the man is 100% G.O.A.T.
Carlin is a beast & the GOAT. More amazing bits than you can count The craziest part is he always makes you think critically. He used comedy as a vehicle to bring change by making you think. after you laughed your ass off. Not many comedians do that nowadays.
I'm absolutely down to watching full stand ups of Carlin with you guys put them on put them on❤
I had the pleasure of seeing him live on a couple of occasions. As good as his videos are; seeing him live is next level. George Carlin and Bill Hicks in my opinion were ranked at the highest level.
Don't forget Dick Gregory
Bill Hicks forgotten genius
George was always right on , a prophet
Carlin wasn't a prophet; he possessed a keen eye for the socio-cultural dynamics of his time and articulated them with clarity. His insights were grounded in sharp observation, not foresight - perceptive, not prophecy.
Go back even further! George been speaking facts for a long time! He also has genius comedic timing! This was great y’all! ❤️🔥❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
Seven dirty words, was transformative of all media, radio and television rules were redefined by that comedy record in the 70's
Right? All due respect to these two, but none of this shit is new.
George Carlin can make you belly laugh and think at the same time.
Definitely my favourite comedian.
The way he crafts his standup is masterful.
Please do more! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤣💕
George was not a comedian, he was a philosopher with a hell of a sense of humor.
we need more george carlin reactions!
He was talking about the WEF waaayyy before we knew it was even a thing. Go to the website and read their mission statement! They’re telling us what they’re doing in real time. It’s not conspiracy when they’re telling you what they’re doing. Carlin was brilliant.
At the seven minute mark, you hit the nail on the head. They get us all fighting with each other, red vs. blue, but the whole time they're all laughing at us and controlling us. They always want us divided.
Carlin was/is to comedy what Ren is to music. He was a genius with his words and delivery, and he always left you with something big to think about.
Sacrilege!! Carlin is in the pantheon of all time great comedians. Ren is a HIGHLY over-rated and not particularly enjoyable to listen to fad that will fade quickly into oblivion. Sorry, not sorry. Someone had to say it, Ren sucks.
Comedians have always been sharp commentators of the systems we live in. Just as interesting Bard core. Bards were the medieval internet bringing news to the people and exposing the actions of the powerful which is why so many were killed or silenced. If Ren's messages about power and money start to resonate watch and see the establishment smears emerge
His last special "it's bad for ya" was enigmatic, and prophetic. He goes in HARD on religion as a concept all together"it's all bull$#!+, and it's bad for ya" is his line about all religion.
You came in halfway through his act. The first half was very funny. Right about here, he switches to something serious. You need to react to the whole thing.
Spittin facts left and right!!! I love George...he told it like it is, and wasn't afraid to do it. This man is a genius and was way ahead of his time. R.I.P. George. He is missed beyond measure!!
I've seen and heard some very funny comedians in my day. Most have their moments. George Carlin gave a lifetime of those moments. No one is better IMO.
i love george carlin i watched all his shows from 1960 to the last show in 2006 and watched them fully , he is really great and his views are for the whole world not also usa, you should watch the bit on religion also
Im 64 and used to listen to George when I was 12... He has always been ahead of everything......thanks for posting...
George Carlin was a national treasure and said the things no one else would dare say. He is greatly missed.
This was filmed in summer, 2005 or summer, 2008!!! He's top 5, for sure!
since the 90s George has laid down his wisdom!! hes a legend for sure, this one is from early 2000 i think
Actually he started in the sixties! Someone said fifties. I started listening to him in the sixties and still have a vynal and listen to it now and then. Still funny and still Revelant!
oh I know lol I liked his late 80s 90s stand up. he was always such a clown! loved all the stuff you cant say on tv😆boy how times have changed, and not for the better unfortunately. could you imagine richard prior today lol@@sandralybrand9425
Love George Carlin, for me he's one of the best, if not the best comedian. I love his style of humor! Two other favorites of mine are Bill Hicks and John Cleese❤ I would love to see you do more of George!!
The clip is from his special "Life is worth losing" from 2005
This came out in the early 2000's, I believe. Just about anything you watch from his later specials, he brings up topics that are ringing true today. He's my favourite comedian, hands down.
A couple bits I'd recommend: Seven Dirty Words, Saving the Planet, Euphemisms, Soft Language, Germs, Abortion and the Sanctity of Life, and the Death Penalty
1995 in NY
George on Saving the Planet 🌎
When Eric Jamal has that truth or dare part on that coast contra track, it could be applied to most stand ups today. No one wants to get canceled and everyone wants to protect their money.
Carlin is the true Yoda
No one person has made a bigger impression on my world view than George Carlin. He is a modern-day philosopher who was hilarious and mastered the English language. Keep em coming! 🤙
This is a part of a longer bit. You should check out "The American Dream". It's the full closer.
The passing grade to get a sales license for life insurance was 70% 20 years ago. It’s 60% as of 10 years ago.
D-students selling you products to insure your life and assets. Wild.
He is legendary, he spoke on , no , no subject’s . Right on on Don my dad always would say that, as bad as things are, America is the best country in the world period. Facts. ❤️❤️👵🏼
By what criteria do you consider America to be the best country in the world?
Not to start some shit, I'm genuinely curious how you got to that conclusion.
As someone who lives in one of the 14 countries which rank higher than the US in the Human Freedom Index, would you care to share the evidence base for your unsupported claim?
He was a genius! I miss him so much! So ahead of his time! 💜
Love the conversations you have.
This special came out on July 29th, 2008 on DVD. George Carlin died on June 22nd, 2008. It came out 1 month after his death. It was televised live on March 1, 2008, on HBO, less than four months before Carlin died of heart failure at age 71. RIP Comedy/Philosophy MASTER, George Carlin. We will miss you!
this one came out in 2005. his next and last one was that one in 2008
This man is/was THE BEST.
This bit is from 2005... George passed in 2008 - RIP! Great reaction guys, keep it up.
I'm seeing people of all walks of life wake up and realize what kind of world we live in. It's a wonderful thing. Hopefully we don't all go back to sleep chasing that dream once again.
This was from: George Carlin - Life Is Worth Losing; Recorded 5 Nov 2005, Beacon Theater, New York City, New York; Released: January 10, 2006
This came out in the early 70's
Wild that I was watching this and noticed that you reacted to it on the feed. That's spooky!
This has been going on FOREVER. Ever since man started gathering there were those who wanted more. Since the inception of our country and especially since the 1920’s
We need more George Carlin content
From what i understand that special came out in 2005😊😊👍👍its called life is wirth losing
Possibly late 90’s I had the privilege of seeing this man speak in the late 90’s here in San Antonio at the historic majestic theatre I think he passed in 08’ if I’m not mistaken
You know the saying “If you don’t know history you are bound to repeat it.” Europa: The Last Battle either yt or rum ble. Love George.
One of the greatest bits ever !!
This was a great discussion guys. It’s great to listen to people who have not only informed themselves but also processed it to the point at which they see through the veil and the proverbial man behind the curtain.
As far as the “owners” not wanting critical thinkers, that’s clearly accurate. With that said I’m not sure public schools in general want real critical thinkers either because students who see injustices being ignored are often punished for their acts of conscience. Critical thinkers pose a threat to any authority by pointing out their very real failures.
It's definitely worth checking out some more, George Carling! He is a philosophical speaker and tells it how it is.
Boys, it’s not “crazy prophetic”, we’ve always known this country is owned by the Corporation. Same for education-before y’all were even born. Peace ❤
Summed up in 5 words, as said by Oliver Anthony..."Rich Men, North Of Richmond"..Thank you both for reacting to George Carlin, may he R.I.P. 😊
R.I.P is quite a weird thing to write.
It's meant as a show of respect but one can't take the time out of our busy day to spell out three small words.
Which isn't very respectful or considerate at all.
Not to assault or anything, I know it's a popular thing to write these days, and the intent is well meant.
Just a passing thought.
He was on his ish from the 80s boys he was so far ahead!
Carlin! One of the best ever.
Woohoo 🎉 one of my favorite routines - plain genius!
The crazy thing is he was spitting these flames as the perspective of someone on the left and now this would be considered right way thinking.
This is from his 2005 HBO Special, "Life Is Worth Losing"
George Carlin is a smart man and respected by comedians across the world.
*Was
He's my all time favorite comedian
I Enjoyed your reaction, I hope that you guys will continue to see how far the George Carlin rabbit hole goes, I'm sure you will enjoy the journey, God Bless.
I saw him in person in the late 80's amazing show
I've never been politically on the same side as George however... That is a true genius. An amazing human being whom I respected all my life. RIP. He goes waaaaay back.
This bit is from 2006 - Life Is Worth Losing
George was my preacher. Church. Y'all get it and I like it.
I'm 66 and he's always been my favorite. He did begin to get pissy towards the end. I think that was his way of throwing a life vest to us. All we can really hope for is their arrogance and overeach combined with them messing with kids gets them pushed out.
George is a Philosopher
This skit is from 2006 on the tour called "Life is worth Losing"
2005
He was so smart and made people think
This was his final HBO special. I got to see him twice, the second time he was working on the material for this show. He just walked on-stage with no announcement and said "eehhh FUCK Lance Armstrong."
If I remember correctly this was the last show George did before he died. He is missed.
Love you guys! Be at peace, no man on earth can bring peace and prosperity to all equally.
Genius. Have followed him from the beginning. You need to hear more.
YEAH, 2005 ON AN HBO SPECIAL, HE HAD 14 OF THOSE YOU GUYS!😊HE WAS ALWAYS ALWAYS WAYYYYY AHEAD OF THE TIMES!💯😊R.I.P ☹TO AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND!
As a rule of thump Carlin's monologues are about 30 yrs old. The best time capsule "Save the planet".
He was a genius. RIP.
came out in 2005 called Life Is Worth Losing.... his 2nd to last HBO special. AND THEY are still coming for your SS check.
May have to make the drive down to catch your show from Denver
THAT DUDE THOUGHT IT WAS 12 YEARS OLD HAHAHAHAHAHA
LONG LIVE THE MEMORIES OF THE GRANDFATHER I WISH I HAD!
The world would be a better place if we all just listen to George carlin
George Carlin - “ rights “
One of the smartast dudes I have listen to...The GOAT..🥰👊
1970 to 1980 most of us that are older know this
Man was awesome Carlin go
George Carlin effected a lot of my thoughts on the world because i grew up watching him. I appreciated that he was also an atheist that didn't like what was going on in the world.
We could use comedians like Carlin today. One of the best. Look into more of the comedians from the 60's through say 2010. Not like today.
Oh boy... Sorry to burst your bubble, but America is not the country with the most freedom. You're not even in the top 10.
Carlin was amazing! Lot of truth in what he is saying and he did believe in all he talks about. . He did not care for republicans either. He talks about conservative views in the mid '90's with abortion issues. He said the conservatives are like "Once you're born, you're on your own."
It’s the same Flow as when you rap and freestyle, my guy. Welcome to the world of expression. This dude’s flow was the analytical rant. Speaking and expressing his truth. Prophetic, yes, but art nonetheless. No different than your flow on a mic, or SRV’s flow on a guitar. This was his conduit. What we do with it is and always has been on us as recipients to the flow. Then we process, contemplate, adapt and respond in kind, continuing said flow.
Carlin spitting 🔥
In the 80's, When Reagan deregulated the big corporations is when greed became rapid, and credit cards were used like cash even when you knew you couldn't pay it back right away. If you watch the documentary on the 80s, you can see how it all exploded. The movies Wolf of Wallstreet and Wallstreet are two great movies that depict how things were then.
In terms of how often he dropped specials, it was generally every 3-4 years he would drop one.
Carlin doing "The Money Game"
Still amazed by the fact that americans go on so much about freedom...america is rated 17th in the list of how much freedom you have in a country...George Carlin was a legend that saw the hypocrisy and called it out in the best way possible.
Most of us Americans have never left the country and our perspective on other countries are non-existent. Living outside of the U.S. for any number of years forces the realization that America isn't near as unique as we think it is. Other countries have constitutions too.
you have an incredible looking country with every type of weather and scenery that you could ever wish for so i understand in a way how many americans could live their lives without ever leaving........that said there is a strange and beautiful world out there and i would feel robbed not soaking up the culture and smells and tastes of other countries...
Idealist is the last line of defense against the self-destruction of mankind.
The best way to honor George Carlin is to be George Carlin.
