- The F-100D has a poor reputation amongst supersonic jets. It's heavy, not as fast as other planes, turns poorly, has mediocre cannons, and arguably mediocre missiles. With its recent drop from 9.7 to 9.3BR, is it any more competitive? I try my hand in several matches and go over whether or not I think it is still mediocre, if it's meh, or if it feels like a new plane in my video - F-100D - Does 9.3BR Make The Super Sabre Any More Competitive? I have no issues with the Su25 to be honest, I'm not sure I have ever been downed by one while facing them. I have been downed by friendly fire Su25s lol.

@@mil-mi24hind "Capable" is a stretch. Its a slow platform with mediocre turn rate. It's carried by the missiles. Overall its a bad aircraft for A2A. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@mil-mi24hind again new players will probably suffer. If you know how to fly it’s a non-issue. And the plane is way less an issue than how Gaijin likes to try and balance them.
There are 2 ways it goes, they aren’t really as big an issue at 9.7 as people crying make it out to be but there is this scenario.
The other scenario is they get moved to 10.3 which doesn’t really exist and ends up going to 11.3 most games or will go that way soon. Either way sucks but one is way better than the other. When I play my su25 I’m not trying to dog fight, I’m trying to hit ground. I rarely see the end of a match and engage targets of opportunity.
In no world is that overpowered.
I would rather Gaijin keep adding vehicles and balance when needed after. All of the BR issues we have and the compression is based almost 100% on a severe lack of vehicles to fill out line ups.
There are no down tiers at 9.3. It will face SU-25, Harriers, A-10s every match and F-5Cs most of the time also. I have 20 games in the Shenyang F5 at 9.3 and have been up tiered every time.
My guy the cl13 is aslo at 9.3 with no aim9s or after burner
@@richyket661 the CL-13B absolutely does have aim9. As long as you don't have to fight harriers or su25s, it still holds up to a lot of 9.7s as long as you start the engagement at a decent speed. As soon as a harrier gets behind you or an su25 gets within 3km you might as well J out though.
The American F104 is in a down tier every game I would know because every time I play the Mig15 I see at least 15 of them
As someone who is currently at 8.3 i see these things every game
I loved spading the F-100 and it hurt me to hear you say it had bad maneuverability when you were trying to do a high g turn that close to its top speed
Which is needed to dodge r60mk in a semi headon. Thats also my letdown thinking it might make my matchmaking easier.
BR drop did absolutely nothing, its still firmly stuck in su-25 killzone, not once have i had a match without them.
My plan to fight SU 25s in the F86 is to stay fast and avoid them untill thry pick a target. They're slow, the F86 is fast enough to stay away if you manage your speed well.
The only problem is the SU 25 missiles: if they lock you there's not much of a chance you'll escape

While I agree with you on the fighting over just flying passive. Some people really gotta watch the repair costs. Grinding planes for mods gets real pricey when you get shot down a lot.
tried to spade this thing, 11 games 11 uptier 11 death to 30 g msls , had more fun spading the f2h-2 tbh
if gaijin nerfed American cannons, then there is a guaranteed 100% chance they buffed the cannons of Russian planes, and German planes that are from Russia
They nerf'ed a lot of the American cannons. Velocity, explosive filler and max armor pen. Like 4 models, not sure if the F100 got the nerf but probably did.
Cannon nerf hurts soo much. HEI should do fragmentation damage.
The hunter needs to drop more than the F-100

The french version is harder to grind because the modifications are almost twice in research (8,100 -> 17,000)
Another proof that GJN really dont like france. Why in the world 2 planes of the same model (french one is even worse) have so different cost?

@@8Fist Well it sure is better then before. But some repair costs had actually risen up, but lucky so does a reward.
It doesn’t matter how many non premium aircraft they bring down to 9.3, there will always be too many 9.7 premiums for them to get a match of their own, let alone a downtier. Until we get some major br structure changes premiums will continue to ruin the surrounding brackets
Its as simple as every su25 that equips all aspect gets to be 10.3 instead of 9.7, is that simpme
tbh they should move the F-105 down to 9.7 again... it has no countermeasures at all, it has 4x AIM 9E, plus high top speed and 1000 rounds of vulcan, but you can't escape missiles with it... especially not since you can meet the GR7 and other scary planes, let alone the Su-25 spam it faces...

I have it and no it shouldn't go to 9.7 since the only thing to be as fast as it is the Milan with Mach 1.14 at it's best while the F-105D can get to Mach 1.12
The only way to fix it is getting its historical AIM-9Js and the historical Flare pod
The cannons are so good though. I get head on kills like 2km out semi routinely. That’s unthinkable with a DEFA. It’s not a Vulcan or a GAU-30 but it is four 20mm high velocity revolver cannons.
Right now its rough, the constant 10.3 lobbies make it a massive target for planes like Mig21MF

As the fastest plane in the game it made sense. It isn’t that anymore and the acceleration in a straight line was always bad. Fantastic climb once you get to speed though.
I wish they would just decompress everything past 7.0. This game COULD be fun. But it’s not on purpose lol
Why do u go and play SU17M2, rarely see it this day. It sits at 11.0 w/o any countermeasure

G'day, maybe try ground belts over air belts as they'll shread aircraft to bits while the air belts just tickle them.
An ohh this change will likely be more helpful to the F-100A as that thing is ehh compared to the D models (thing doesn't even have flaps), Maybe you could do a video on it?.
Anyway the MiG-21SPS-K is just a PFM but with a different designation/ it's a hodgepodge of eastern bloc PFM's at that, But for cannons/CM's it cannot take both so a player must pick or choose the other and man does taking CM's save your bacon vs having a cannon for a few more kills (personal loadout CM, 2× R-13M1's or CM, 1× R-13M1, 2× R-3R).

depends on whether or not the "statistics" say it has to go down
because if it went to 8.0, it would absolutely ROFLStomp every single 7.0 aircraft that could face it, save for maybe the SU-11, but I can't speak to it since I do not use it
@@sicsempertyrannis6541 understandable. But when it gets up tiered it gets destroyed. Also, the Japanese variants br decreased. The first one that is the exact same plane as the American variant went to 8.0 and the second Japanese variant with aim-9b’s went to 8.3. I just don’t think that’s fair
@@HiDro111 No it didn't, you were looking in Arcade mode. The normal 86 with no AIM9B's is 8.7 and both the premium japanese 86 and tech tree 86 with 2 aim9b's are still at 9.0 in Realistic battle.
@@lazarusfitness3892 They did, the F-86F-40s were 9.3 believe it or not... Now it's the same BR as the US F-86F-2, trading guns for missiles and better wings, although 9.0 still kinda feels high due to the compression in the 9.0+ region

It’s fast but you can rip if you aren’t careful, and your huge and not very agile
the mig sps can either have flares or a gun but not both so you have to judge on how hes flying it if you wanna try a missle or guns the f8e is amazing at boom and zoom I carry 2 aim9cs which are amazing and 2 aim9ds which are okay but barely anyone brings chaff to 10.3 so you can just get head on kills up high then diver 90 degrees down and aim 9 d 2 people who never even seen the missle coming

I dunno I remember picking my F86D a lot more often at 9.3 than this at 9.7. That was before the SU-25 scourge, of course. They’ve probably dropped the Sabre Dog also? I should check.

The tiny Sabre dogfights really well and this boat also dogfights really well for one player and then you’ve lost all your speed.

I’d say AIM-9Es aren’t actually all that much better because they have the same overload. If it was -9Ds it would be a bigger deal.
While i can agree on the D being better, i shot enough Bs already to tell you most of them miss because of short range and not enough speed to catch many planes you face over 9.0.
My platform of choice is the g91 r4 that is not much fast and 8.7, hence most of the times you launch when you have less energy than the opponent, and this is very detrimental with Bs.
I can't wait for when i will get to use the E variant, at least they will be a guaranteed kill on bots, thing that the B can't since yak 38 bots are too fast and outside a 1,5/2 km range it's hopeless you get them unless of a launch from top down and or them going absolutely straight.
@@Dondolini94 There's the point of the turn limits of 10G, launch a missile at mach 1 will make any turn of the missile be at 10G while a G91 will fire at half speed.

There are some things I would disagree, f-100 has the best one circle turn in 9.0-10.0.

I think the part where he dives from space after climbing to space isn’t shown. He mentioned it though.
In that first dogfight he was using his all flying tail to get missile shots other guys did not think he could or would pull. Danger dorito and mirage are also good at this… DD even keeps some speed I think.
It still fights planes armed with R60 and magics. Iam done with this game and have uninstalled it. Gaijin has ruined it with their greed.

Gijan has literally nerfed everything american recently. They were my main nation but Ive switched to Germany because EVERY vehicle I play thats american feels like its a tier 1 vs a tier 3
