Merle (your shuttle driver) is the goat! He is a real deal trail angel. Never found a better view for a campsite than Swindell. Love that place

I like the addition of narration. I don't know if you remember me mentioning this trail to you when we spoke over zoom or not, but this is a trail I have to get on in 2023!!! Those views are amazing and you done a great job capturing them.

IP x7 rating so I think that’s pretty good water proof but the x stands for dust proof so maybe not great if it’s getting a ton of sand in it, but should be fine

What caused the hammock strap to fail? Which suspension system were you using?
I think it got twisted in the buckle and that caused it to come apart

The strap failure is concerning... happened twice??? I have the same dutchware straps for almost 6 years now. Maybe I should preemptively replace them, maybe continuous loops too. Scary.

Hey Jeremiah, I hear you talking about a "shuttle driver" a bunch. Is this just a friend of yalls or is that a service for some places?
On this trip we hired someone to shuttle us. Usually you can contact whatever organization that is in charge of maintaining the trail you are hiking and they can give you good resources of who to call

I can tell you, as a person who grew up around the Appalachian mountains, there are plenty of places like that. A reason I love our mountains is because they are covered in green.
Not a very densely populated area over in the mountains so trees as far as you can see
