- I acquired this part through Dustin at zoom motorsports. he has always been able to get my parts cheaper than most other places. I am completely speechless after installing this fluidampr. after I have experienced what its like to have one I belive all builds should have one budgeted. my biggest regret is I didn't instal the fluidampr sooner. don't forget to check out the article that motoiq did on dampers before making a purchase on one.
you're lucky to still have the engine working, I'm suprised you didn't change the OEM to a fluidmpr when you did your mods
Great video! You are pointing on some very important things a lot of people don't think about! I've got an AOS, fluidampr and some silicone coolant hoses to install. I trust I can do the install myself but I am terrified to actually dive in ! lGonna just let my mechanic do it. I think all these things you are doing are a must for any STI owner. Especially modified.
Idk why I thought this was connected to the timing belt. This looks a lot easier.
Tomorrow I’m picking up my coyote Stang with the fluidmpr
where did you get the upper coolant hose from i need one !!
Hey! I have been dealing with some major harmonic vibrations since doing an STI drivetrain swap and making the stupid decision to go with a lightweight flywheel in the process. I too have all poly bushings and mounts which are a contributor. That being said, I am resealing the engine and will be switching back to an OEM flywheel and adding the fluidampr in the process.
I’m curious, what clutch and flywheel are you currently running in this video?
Nice !!!
I notice on my fluid damper the pulley does not sit completely flush to the timing cover after trimming down the cover
Did your fluidampr slide in easy? Mine went in tough and I had to use my crank bolt to install it
Ffs, it's a damper, not a dampener...
