So you're asking 2 things: how to read a book (understand and learn what's in it) and how to remember the things inside the book.
Let's use the 80/20 principle to achieve these things. The 20% of work that achieves 80% of results here is to use active recall/retrieval practice, spaced practice and elaboration (this might not be the correct term though). Every time you read a chapter, summarize the three most important points and come back to that chapter 5-10 minutes later or any amount of time and then recall and summarize that chapter again from memory. If it was hard to remember some things or what you remembered was incorrect, correct them.
Recalling and summarizing the chapter from memory after some time strengthens that memory because you forget that chapter a bit and remembering things that were forgotten makes it less likely to be forgotten again. Summarizing the important parts of the chapter strengthens not only your memory, it also more importantly strengthens your understanding of the topic. I don't think I need to explain why and how summarizing helps understanding because you intuitively already know that.
      Take action mwah

you can really see the difference between his videos from a year ago and his videos now. both still had impact but now you can see how much depth and understanding he puts into his words compared to past videos where he sounded as if trying to convince himself while convincing us if that makes sense but now its mature, confident, and simplified. i always watch ruff's video whenever I'm in a slump and each time i appreciate how sincere and real he gets that i always end up doing the shit that took me the whole day to get to

Coming back today after watching this yesterday and I KID YOU NOT THIS IS LITERALLY MIND-BLOWING TECHNIQUE
so usually I tend to check my phone as the first thing in the morning after waking up and end up using it too long that I become lazy to do any other work and just waste my day , for me the " FROG" was not to use it as the very first thing and do workout in the morning. After watching it I made a to do list last night and went sleep. After waking up I was about to take my phone as well but saw the to-do list beside and just decided to follow it. And now it's past 10 at night ,it's fucking amazing how i have done the most work today in the whole month. Like- I managed to do workout, complete my notes, give a self-mock , did some housechore, ate on time , did my laundry, read manga , drew sketches, revised my lesson and i am done with all and still have time left. I am literally speechless. After "eating the frog" in the morning everything literally went smoothly, I did works and even spent my free time . Thank you sm ruff , I am really grateful to you.

These are great points but I feel like it’s not set energy every morning. Most school mornings I’m definitely not at 100% and you can get “refueled” throughout the day to feel better to do win the day tasks later throughout the day. The concept of eating the frog is great since doing harder tasks first always gives you better results physically and mentally and it aligns with the first point of the 100 thing.
Btw your vids are great ❤❤

I'll explain exactly how it works like that.
Our brain thinks logarithmically. this means our brain see things as different proportions as opposed to different lengths. Just think of this, when you wake up in the morning and the first hours goes, t that time that one hour is 100% of what you've seen in that day. But after two hours, the second hour is only 50% of what you've seen in the day. And as the day progresses, every next hour will be a smaller proportion of everything else you've seen in this day and our brain just perceives it as time moving faster.
