As a Commerce graduate, I could definitely say that Ibn Khaldun is the Father of Modern Economics whose economic theories in 14th century influenced the Modern Economy as we know it today.

Those days when Arab colonized north Africa and Asia, they copied all kinds of science books into Arabic. They forced people to convert into Islam. Yemen is not an Arab country, but they were forced to be Arabs. I don't care, but It is the truth. Those days Islam was against science. They were into religious faith. Which is good too.

I just bring a book from library today ; an intellectual biography of Ibn-e-Khaldun by Robert Irwrin. And i’m sure it’s gonna worth it.
Can somebody explain to me how Ibn Khaldun overcome his wife and children's death? I havent read his book yet
Its simple he is a muslim and Muslims are told by the Quran to be patient since life is a test and that everything that happens is a test from allah and that no matter what happens we must always be patient and thankful to allah since this whole life is a test so we should expect difficulties as much as we would expect ease since we are unlike Westerners who would just become depressed and would even curse god. No offence to westerners though i am just being honest with my observations.

Don't forget, Arab was just a small village with few people like any other unknown ethnic group.
But after Islam came from the Arab ethnic people, they invaded, colonized and forced people to speak Arabic language and convert to Islam by force.
Syria, Egypt, Palestine, Yemen, Jordan, Iraq, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, all these countries and people are not Arabs.
I remember an Egyptian man saying that his Great, Great parents were teaching their kids, their Egyptian Language underground,

If what you say is true, then why are there still non-Arab countries that are still Muslim and have not apostatized, such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Turkey?
