this narration is all based on modern historians of west and Europe who are always known for their biaseness and many times declared unacceptable for their hands on Islamic history. Go learn their true history from the descendants of mongols who embraced Islam. Truth is: Mongols were never educated nor they were human enough while treating others. When they learnt peaceful and just way of Islamic life and found out about Qur'an, the mongols (many kings, princes, commanders, etc.) had the holy Qur'an narrated and were amazed. whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land- it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.... Qur'an 5:32. Mongols learnt about the two lives (this one and the afterlife) and how a muslim king could lead a life of material poverty while enriching his afterlife. The strict rules or ban on rape, extortion, murders, theft during those times under the guidance of Qur'an opened their eyes to follow the path to truth. Mughals (mongol empire in India spanning for several centuries) in many of their recorded writings are found to mention constantly these terms "pride and arrogance". As Islam preaches in equality and justice where a king and a slave, blacks and whites, arabs and non-arabs, all are equal and what differentiates is good deeds and bad deeds. This also amazed many of the mongols. Bottom line: Narrate history by compiling all accounts and more importantly with those of the region. you narrating mongol history by referring to western historian is totally Bullshit.

@@nathiryouhanna4867 You expressed Islam to be a religion allowing or promoting barbaric behaviour and actions done by the Mongols, which is not at all respectful. But regarding the matter, the message of the video was pretty clear in terms that Mongols did not treat religious affection as seriosuly and close to heart than the original communities. That's why they allowed themselves to easily break the laws of Islam for their own sake And their lifestyle and mindsets did not allow the swift and total convertion. That's why, even though they adapted new religion, they continued with some elements of their previous lifestlyes and beliefs. And again, using the religion for the political means is also obvious.
Why did the Mongols object to Halal slaughter or washing dirty items in running water? I would have thought that the Mongols as nomads would have understood using running water to avoid having the dirty water attracting diseases etc in the camp.
It is the method of slaughter. Mongols have their very own method of slaughter, and in contrast to their method, Halal slaughter can be seen as gory, immoral, and also wasteful. It is not the use of running water, it is that washing IN running water that Mongols object against, as it taints the water. Mongols, when they do their washing, they take some water away and use it in a place where the waste water doesn't run back to the running water. Running water, such as river provides life throughout entirety of its length. So it is only logical for them to take precautions against tainting it.

this narration is all based on modern historians of west and Europe who are always known for their biaseness and many times declared unacceptable for their hands on Islamic history.
Go learn their true history from the descendants of mongols who embraced Islam.
Truth is:
Mongols were never educated nor they were human enough while treating others.

Mongolians had no Alphabet, they used Uygur alphabet.
They built their first city Karakorum over the ruins of Old Turkic city. Near the holy ground of Tengrinism - Otuken.
They used Uyghur scholars for communications with other people around. Uygurs knew Persian and different dialect of Turkic language. They were partially Muslim and were the first people to translate Kuran to Turkic.
They have developed millitary first aid methods that were used from China to Iran. In Iran this called Tork-e Chare (Turkic aid).
Naymans were Turkic people with Nestorian faith and consisted main part of Mongolian Army.

I really appreciate your excellent coverage of little-appreciated topics.
dont forget Yakut and Kazakh also sucessor of Mongol Horde, Kalmyks and Dzungars culture, tradition, religion and architecture very close to China-Tibet, while Khanate of Crimea, Sibir[Siberia get it name from Khanate of Sibir, Sibir-ia or land of Sibir], Astrakhan and Kazan share similar culture, architecture with Persia and Russia. Uzbeks, Turkmen more to Persian, their cloth, architecture, writing script and tradition but spoke Turkic, Turkish in Anatolia mixed Syrian/Levant Arab architecture, tradition with Byzantine. Kazakh dont change much very same to Mongol, they still live in nomadic and yurt, but have mixed with Persian architecture too.

It's like crushing beautiful flowers in your hands, after crushing it, you smell its beautiful unforgettable scene in your hands, then felt the urge to study and identify the flower, then falling in love with it
I understood it different way. If you are violent and barbaric, you become inclined to a religion that advocate violence. The people have not changed but now they can use Allah or Islam as excuse for their barbaric behaviour. You don't need to study psychology but you need to be intelligent to understand this.
@chinzorig baayaa What pot are you smoking kid? Halal slaughter was gory to the Mongols? Washing in running water taints the water? WTF!

Mongols assimilated in whatever society they ruled over. The biggest Mongol Khanate: The Yuan Dynasty was Buddhist.
The Mongols kings chose whatever faith helped them rule over the population. They were a small ethnic minority who were ruling over millions who were not from the same ethnic stock. They intermarried with the local women and chose the religion which brought them closer to the masses and simply assimilated.
For example: Ghazan from Ilkhanate which ruled over Iran converted to Islam not out of genuine conviction but it was a pre condition for support from another Mongol Muslim noble. He later executed this noble and never implemented Sharia during his reign. So Mongol assimilate was a slow and gradual process.
