@@akendon7260 toyota never aimed for nicest, only most reliable. they're also terrible on gas, but it never dies. ive seen an honest 500k miles on their v8, not a single part gone bad

@Jack Napier worse than ford?! ive heard the engines have gotten finnicky with cheaped out parts but i heard after 2020 they fixed those flaws. may have heard wrong, but thats the news i know of. also, that ford has always been generally bad with lots of small problems, is what ive seen of most people who owned one. not as bad as dodge, but still worse than chevy. and GMC is the best GM aside from corvette side note, nissan has been a sorely underrated truck maker in so many ways. not luxury, but quality and reliability are way better than their cars.
That’s got to be the dumbest statement. GM trucks are built good and last for years. Can’t tell you how many Chevy and GM trucks still on the road with 250k +. Ford is junk and always look the same. The Ford truck lineup is dated, their warranty is absolutely worthless, interior is so outdated it looks like something from the 90’s. Ford is junk and resale value is the lowest in the truck class. Those are nice trucks! Just a correction for you... the gas and diesel engines both get the 10-speed transmission. The gas engine does not get the 6-Speed as you mentioned.
Longtime Ford owner here and I can tell you this will be my next truck. GM is killing it with these trucks and this latest version is fantastic. The AT4X would be my choice. The AEV Edition is around $9,300 more and isn't worth it for the difference in equipment over the AT4X, in my opinion.
Thanks for clarifying that because I was considering the aev edition I thought the AT4X was going to be Gas only but now I know it will come in diesel and that’s a game changer for me
I bought the AT4 with the Diesel (Titanium Metallic finish.) Not the AT4x, or AEV which was beyond my price point. Paid 78k for a slightly used 2024 version with 7800 miles. This truck is awesome! I've had Ford's but GM has set a new standard.
I’m a Ford guy by far, but I will give GM big props for their pricing and availability of their trucks! You just can’t get Ford trucks for a good price, or even at all for that matter, right now.
This will look great at your local Applebees!! :D Just kidding. I get the appeal and need for HD trucks. I wouldn't mind going up from our F150 to a 3/4 ton as trailers are getting heavy. But man, these prices are just insane.
Honestly though, that's where most of these trucks end up lol. But also agree that these truck prices are ridiculous. I'm in the market for one, but am holding out. My motor in my f150 platinum ecoboost kicked the bucket and is going to cost me almost 15k to get fixed. But heck, even a 4 door xl worktruck with 4wd f150 is almost 50k now....
@@wiggsplitta6055 Yeah I feel you there. We actually had a Platinum ecoboost '17. Got the dreaded rattle, so I traded it in last week and went from '17 Platinum to '21 XLT with Powerboost. I know it's the same engine, but I'm hoping they figured it out and even with added complexity of the hybrid it will be alright. It's a great truck so far, got a longer bed, better towing capacity, better mileage. Just overall more of a workhorse that we needed. 47k for the 2021 with 25k miles. So yea truck prices are still nuts.
what's the big deal. Just add overload springs and you all set. Looking at the sticker this 24 AT4X has even bigger numbers then my old 2011 3500 Denali HD had
Good job on the video, sir. The only thing I do not like about the AEV package is the rear bumper. It does not have the corner step like the regular bumper does. That's huge for me because I am 5'8". I wonder if that could be modified?
I think I'll be ordering one with AEV Edition with the Duramax engine. I know its an expensive toy for me but I need to leave my old Ford Expedition SUV which I use for my hobbies and in snow and bad weather. I have been considering the 3500HD Denali Ultimate and also the 2500HD AT4 and now I'm keen to order this one instead. Fortunately I can wait for one to be delivered since I'm in no hurry to get a truck however looking forward to moving from an SUV to a luxury truck.
30+ year Ford guy here, but....................DAMN HOW I WANT THIS TRUCK!! I like the F250/F350 Tremor quite a bit, but with Ford's lack of QC the last several years, along with their garbage transmission, I really am inclined to order one next year when I retire!! I cannot understand, though, why GMC cannot see fit to offer the AT4 series with the Downpour Metallic blue color?!? C'mon GMC, what do you say?? I'd take the standard AT4X w/ the diesel. As tasty as that AEV kit looks, $9400 bucks is a lot extra to spend on an already pricy rig.
add a 1.5" lift doesn't add 1.5" to ground clearance. The ground clearance only gets better if the tires are larger than normal. That's only going to be 1/2 the size of the increase of tire size. Ex: if you go from 33" tire with 10" ground clearance to 35" tires will only give you 11" ground clearance.
Does anyone know if the 2500 AT4X will be available in a CREWCAB LB 8’? The at4 is.. although rare, it is offered. Anyone know about the at4x configuration? Would be a dream
😊❤❤❤ AWSOME. Want 1. Red. Or blue. So much nicer than a power ram. , like dodge but GMC. Is it in looks. Hope they fixed oil burn problem on the gas engine 😊😊

I just took the wife to look at 2024. The two tiny cup holders next to the weird trailer brake position, and no pano sunroof was a deal breaker. I really wanted to like it, it’s beautiful, just not as well thought out as the superduty.

It doesn’t “combine the off-road abilities of the AT4…” The AT4 doesn’t have the lift or DSSV shocks which are the real defining features of the at4x.
Now that's one good looking truck! Good luck rich bastards 😅
I'd feel so awkward doing a car review with all those people standing nearby.😅
