This has so much rewatchability. Like every action scene has a great build up and thrill. This scene especially, our pup-eyed Steppy is just a badass. One of the best CGI villains.

What I love about this chase was that you can see how powerful he is without the Amazons looking weak. They were able to shoot at him with accuracy, delay him with lassos, dodge his swings, and match his speed. It was just too much for them because he was out of their league and had support from his army.

I know there are a lot of amazing feats in this movie but the part at 2:30 was really impressive. The way she throws her bow, jumps off her horse, lassos the box, pulls it away from Steppenwolf, ties the rope to an arrow and fires the box out of Steppenwolf's reach. It's quite amazing.
Also the amount of momentum she got behind that arrow considering the position she was firing from... it seems like all the Amazons have some level of superhuman strength. They're not just peak athletes. You really get a sense of what an effective fighting force they are, but Steppenwolf is simply way too powerful.

I love those few seconds where Hippolyta just looks down at the crashing waves. Stuff like this may seem insignificant but just helps to set the scene and immerse us in the movie. Allows it to really breath too.
That building was a whole character in itself and the very face of themyscira changed forever with its destruction. The queen was in awe, shock, and understanding all at the same time, until steppenwolf came back from the water

He’s direct, honest, sadistic, and completely interested in hammering the idea that there is no saving anyone in this fight. And just from the simple fact that Steppenwolf just decimated dozens of Amazons, who actually had him on the ropes for a split second, I would say he was right. And just the way he says those words is compelling. He speaks from experience when you think about the dialogue he had with DeSaad about the insurrection he tried to ensue against Darkseid before he took the throne, and was punished for it. He faced off against the very darkness he speaks of, and he understood the futility in fighting against it. But also because he’s conquered 100,000 worlds that more than likely had an untold number of defenders who tried to stop him and failed, he’s grown more or less tired of these failed attempts at trying to stop the inevitable. It’s really deep when you think about it.

Great cast but the DCEU is too damaged to repair imo. They should take the movies that worked and put them into a new DCEU (Wonder Woman 1, Man of Steel, BvS, Snydercut)
What i really like about this Steppenwolf, is a fearless warrior aesthetics. If you forget about the plot, you'll see just one person stands his ground against many foes, who intended to kill him.
I was never really excited about the Snyder Cut because I thought, "How much could he possibly change, it's still going to be the same movie"... Boy, was I wrong!
He didn't change a thing. This was supposed to be the original but WB didn't like it for being 4 hours long and for a few other reasons hence Whedon being called to shorten it up and do a few reshoots for the shorter version.

I watched the Snyder cut for the first time on acid and this scene felt so incredible. The sound design, the action sequences, everything drew me in so much.

I don't understand why people hates CGI. The movie monsters or comic characters can't look be real if they have no CGI. This CGI is far more than what we can expect from the cut. Making good CGI for $70m for 4hours movie is epic effort of Zack. I can't find any director who spent $70m (wb bubget for ZSJL is $20) for his beloved daughter.
What ppl really hate is BAD CGI....aka LAZY CGI....CHEAP CGI, that studios love to use enlieu of quality special effects that actually sell the onscreen visuals. Great CGI, just like great practical effects...never age. Look at the first Jurassic Park.

The Amazon’s showing where Diana not only got her warrior spirit and bravery but love and compassion for your fellow allies. The amazons aren’t just treated as canon fodder I felt for every death every sacrifice. You know Hippolyata will carry there sacrifice forever
The one thing I love the most about this four hour movie is that every second matters. The Parademons emerging from the water gives this classic Apokoliptian sense of dread that suggests the sacrifices of the Amazons below were for nothing. The ones encircling and fighting Steppenwolf on their own not only shows them fearlessly fighting while also at least giving the others time to run with the Motherbox, but demonstrates further what Steppenwolf is and what sort of deadly unstoppable force he is.
"Every second matters" If you consider spamming slow motion in every scene of the movie and making long overdramatic useless scenes then I think you're right.
The fact that there's this scene and Steppenwolf's actual backstory is that he does what he does just to be able to go back home just shows how terrifying Darkseid is. But I guess we won't be seeing that Darkseid ever.
They need to bring back Zack his way of thinking is more new and modern while James Gunn makes more old convention. He will always be living in the shadow of greatness which is Zack Snyder
Reminds me when the Amazons fought Heracles over the Golden Fleece. They surrounded him as well and were noble enough to only fight him 1v1 but he bested them too. Oh I forgot to mention, I sent him on that Labour..
Heracles wiped the floor with the Amazons. Then again it's kinda expected with him being the greatest Hero of Greek Mythology. He may even be the greatest Hero of all time considering that he completed 12 Labors that would've made most mortals piss their pants.
The best part is that she knew she was going to die, you can see the terror in her eyes. But, she pushes that all down so that the motherbox can go as far as it can away from Steppenwolf. A true Amazon.

@@bat-joker6066 i have a lot of reasons. and like you said it’s my opinion. first of all to me he doesn’t look like batman. batman has never had a butt chin. he also looks fat every-time he wore the mask. that tactical suit in justice league is god awful. the only dceu batman suit i liked was the armored one. that looked good. and his writing is also awful in my opinion. you just start off with a broken batman with no past context or anything. they just give a few lines between bruce and alfred and that robin suit scene and call it a day. and why in tf is batman so gullible? isn’t he supposed to be the worlds greatest detective? man gets a note that says “you let your family die” and doesn’t think to find out who sent it 💀 worst of all his “nightmare” version uses guns. like tf lmao. although i love henry cavil supes and his writing, i hate afflecks. every other casting in the dceu is great for me apart from affleck. what i find funny is that most of the people who say affleck is the best batman is because of his skill level. like strength, speed, combat, etc. because it’s like the comics, and i agree. but his writing is so terrible that you can’t enjoy those scenes and say that’s batman

I was never really excited about the Snyder Cut because I thought, "How much could he possibly change, it's still going to be the same movie"... Boy, was I wrong!
He didn't change a thing. This was supposed to be the original but WB didn't like it for being 4 hours long and for a few other reasons hence Whedon being called to shorten it up and do a few reshoots for the shorter version.

I don't understand why people hates CGI. The movie monsters or comic characters can't look be real if they have no CGI. This CGI is far more than what we can expect from the cut. Making good CGI for $70m for 4hours movie is epic effort of Zack. I can't find any director who spent $70m (wb bubget for ZSJL is $20) for his beloved daughter.

They're basically the female versions of the Spartans from 300.
They even wear the impractical bikini armor similar to the Spartans furry briefs, lol.
The one thing I love the most about this four hour movie is that every second matters. The Parademons emerging from the water gives this classic Apokoliptian sense of dread that suggests the sacrifices of the Amazons below were for nothing. The ones encircling and fighting Steppenwolf on their own not only shows them fearlessly fighting while also at least giving the others time to run with the Motherbox, but demonstrates further what Steppenwolf is and what sort of deadly unstoppable force he is.

Heracles wiped the floor with the Amazons. Then again it's kinda expected with him being the greatest Hero of Greek Mythology. He may even be the greatest Hero of all time considering that he completed 12 Labors that would've made most mortals piss their pants.
