  • It's like SimCity, but everyone's about to freeze to death. Bloodworth recently got to play the opening hours of the Frostpunk 2 campaign, and he talks with Huber about building his city, negotiating with unruly factions, and making brutal life and death decisions.
Coming to PC July 25th and arriving on consoles at a later date.

Frostpunk (at least the main scenario) is not as difficult as you think it is. So I like to encourage you to give it a try, because it is really cool and one of the best strategy games out there. I love it, and I personally don't really play strategy games. Just saying.

yeah it feels hard and _very_ unforgiving when you first pick it up but it's not really when you get used to the mechanics

Rather than difficult, its more about peer pressure.

Frostpunk is such a mood, it is a great game. Immersive city builder but awesome that does have an end in the campaign mode. I feel like it does not waste my time when compared to other builder like games

I’m in love with the idea of a society running a race that requires its own momentum to keep itself from falling and never getting back up. As a huge fan of the original game, I’m getting this for sure!

So apparently game informer has the exact same title for their Frostpunk 2 preview lol.
Kinda weird never seen two gaming reviews do that before. Not that it matters just figured I'd mention it as a funzie thing.

100% worth playing the game, it is not as intimidating as you think, it guides you well through the game, and it is fantastic!

The shadows are always in the same direction unlike the first game. So it seems the earth stopped rotating. We should see ice accumulating in those areas covered in perpetual shadow.

I've been covering games for 30 years and there's always far more than I can hope to get to. Always great to get a chance to discover something new. -Bloodworth
