@@CarbonScoring So l remember you saying you've gotten ever marvel figure to come out in a video before. Is that still the case? Or what figures are you into getting today?
Whilst everyone wants a bigger venom, you can’t do that when you’re making a real life suit. It has to fit the character. Or do you just want a cgi fest?
15:15 The black suit red suit variant figure came from a second wave of 6 inch Spider-man 3 figures, also known as the 'trilogy wave'. Basically this wave gave us a huge ton of repaints and all are actually pretty good, example of figures in this wave are repaints of Doc Ock and Green Goblin (again) , Super Poseable Spiderman 2 figure repainted twice in 1 wave, spinning kick spiderman from Spiderman 2, re release of the black suit along with its variant, A 6 INCH VERSION OF THE 5 INCH SUPER POSEABLE BLACK SUIT and even the wrestler suit Spiderman from the 1st movie figure wave. This wave was release around 2009 and its very unknown to many people. I hope this helps answer your question :)
@@CarbonScoring also forgot to mention is that all these figures come with completely different accessories than their original release, pretty cool right ? Example, a nice repainted Super Poseable Spiderman 2 figure with bright blue was released with the gargoyle from the first movie figure
I don't remember seeing an actual super poseable 6 inch black suit Spidey in that line. I remember the Unleashed 360 version but not that. Do you have images?

I do try to tell the truth - if I am excited about a figure - I want you to know it. But it is only fair if a figure is crap to say it is crap. However, I have to give Hasbro all the credit from learning from the mistakes in this line and going on to take Marvel Legends to a whole new level of greatness!
I am a little older, so 5 inch action figures of many franchises were extremely common during my late childhood and early teenage years. Many of them had 5 points of articulation and cool action features and accessories. A good part of them had the same cool action features and accessories, but with 9 points of articulation (elbows and knees). That was the era that brought us 5 inch figures of "Batman: The Animated Series", "Batman: Legends Of The Dark Knight", "Batman Returns" (live-action), "Batman Forever" (live-action), "Batman & Robin" (that was an awful live-action, but it had very cool toys), "Spider-Man: The Animated Series", "Spawn", "Predator", "Alien", "Xena", "Hercules" and "Superman: The Animated Series". I still had those old figures in a very good state of preservation when the 5 inch figures of "Spider-Man 3" were released, so the new Spider-Man figures fitted very well among some of my toys. Hasbro also adopted the same scale and articulation style when they released action figures based on the movie "Fantastic Four 2: Rise Of The Silver Surfer". Anyone who enjoyed the "Spider-Man 3" 5 inch figures should check out these 5 inch "Fantastic Four" movie figures. I didn't buy any of those Fantastic Four toys only because I was buying way too many toys from other lines that were available at the time and I failed to save money for the Fantastic Four. My only regrets about those 5 inch toys were having bought too few of the Spider-Man figures and not having bought any of the Fantastic Four figures. I guess I will look for both toylines on the web and buy them if they aren't too expensive. .
I'll give them that - they were trying something new and I think they executed it well - certainly better than the crap they threw together for the six inch line...
I always thought of Minimates as fancier Lego for not-quite kids without giving them the respect they deserve. After this video, no longer can I imagine them that way...
@@CarbonScoring I remember it being marketed as a Spider-Man Trilogy Line. It was a horrible line that went on sale though. I still have that MJ, Venom, and Sandman though. I got the better New Goblin from the Spider-Man Trilogy line.

Me, too, except that I was already an adult at the time, and I was buying so many toys from other lines that I bought too few of the Spider-Man 3 figures. I only bought the super-poseable Spider-Man (red and blue suit), the Spider-Man with bent elbows that shot web missiles (red and blue suit) and the Spider-Man that did uppercut punches when you turned his waist to the sides (black suit, included a symbiote accessory that was a Venom head with tentacles).
I remember having so much fun with these toys when I was a kid. My favorites were New Goblin and Sandman. My sandman figure took a lot of abuse and eventually got worn out. The hand attachment lost one of its fingers when the soft rubber-y material got ripped off from constant play. Good times.
This video brought back memories I didn't even realize I still had... Wow! I remember that Doc Ock figure! His tentacles could bend around, and he came with little glasses you could take on and off (terrible decision, I lost them so fast). The New Goblin figure came with his green sword and hoverboard that you could move around (terrible decision, I lost them so fast). The Spider-Man figures themselves I had a couple different red suit versions and a few black suits, I remember how the torso could bend around but the shoulders were always impossible to move upwards. That Venom figure was so cool too.

Look I get Spider-Man 3 wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but when my parents introduced me to this film when I was 2 or 3. I was obsessed forever. I wanted all those action figures that were being released but they didn’t sell them in Australia at the time, only in the US :( But this movie was the best and I loved Venom and Sandman, and Harry Osborne Green Goblin. Knowing the backstory doesn’t make me think otherwise. This movie is MY number one Sam Rami Spider-Man Movie. With second being the first and the third being the second. I love Spider-Man 3, even 12-13 Years later!
Wanna know something awesome? Bully Maguire happened not once, but twice in action figure form. One of the Medicom Spider-Man 3 figures (1/6 scale ones) was actually Bully Maguire with his same iconic clothes (the one with the jacket & jeans btw).
The Spider-Man 3 line had its ups and downs but to 7 year old me it was amazing only figure I didnt like as a kid was the black suit Spider-Man covered in sand cause he was stuck in that funky pose
Jeez I had no idea there was this many figures from that movie. I only had the 5 inch versions, I didn't know they did 6 inch and also characters from the game. You teach us so much mate 😂
You forgot to mention MJ has incorrect hair colour and (to my knowledge) never used that outfit. that hair was seen in spider man 2 but it was more red in spider man 3
Awesome vid, brought back so many memories from these toys I've got a lot of them still! One thing I will say is I've started collecting Marvel Legends recently & I've bought a lot of Spider-Man toys, while I adore the Marvel Legends, I've still got my old Tobey figures from Toybiz & they feel SO much sturdier! Like I feel the joints on these newer toys can snap so much easier compared to the older toys, so so weird.
This is why people buy knockoffs/3rd party figures and statues. Yeah quality control isn't there but at least there is quality. 12:11 She doesn't have severe scoliosis.
Fun fact That Mysterio and other villains from the Spider-Man 3 5" line are from the movie games and there's another scorpion based on how he appeared in Spider-Man the movie game (2002) Also another fun fact The venoms in the Spider-Man 3 wave (before the Walmart exclusive repaints) use the original suit's smaller spider logo before it was changed to the bigger comic logo
Those 5 inch Spider-Man 3 figures were some of my absolute favorites growing up. I was at the perfect age too start collecting them. It was cool how they introduced Rami universe versions of other comic villains later in the line.
Absolutely- they were great TOYS - and they deserve credit for that. Sadly, when you had invested so much into the six inch scale, they just didn’t fit

8:46 I used to play with that Spider-Man figure a lot when it for my birthday, always thought was weird that there wasn't any blue on instead it it was just black I thought colors just faded or because someone else played and just took permanent Sharpie to cover the blue with black? Absolutely loved that you gave Minimates a shoutout! Having been collecting them for over a decade now, I have constantly been impressed by both their range of characters and detailing. Maybe you are already aware, but they recently got Transformers and GI Joe licenses and both are spectacular in the minimate form!
There was a Spider-Man 3 venom toy that wasn't covered in this. It was the symbiote monster from the end of the movie. It came with black goo that you would load up and it would come out of the mouth. Very messy toy to say the least
I swear as a kid I had an awesome Spiderman figure That was ripped and you could see Peter's face but I haven't seen it since I was less than 10 so I have NO idea how good it truly was
@@CarbonScoring while the battle damaged head is very similar, I think this one had clothes on with the suit for some reason. Though I can't recall what those clothes were exactly
I'm totally gonna have to see if I can track down a few of those old Legends figures. I only recently started collecting ML figures, and had no idea they've been around for so long!
While eBay is an option - look to see if you have any comic book stores, vintage toy stores, flea markets or - best of all - toy conventions in your area!
I still have like a dozen of these things and I have zero shame in any of them. And of course the Venom fig I had was the cool purple one xD I think I also had the 6-inch Spider-Man, but my dog murdered him
God, I love this video so much. It seems when people talk about Spider-Man figures, they never mention Spider-Man 3 figures, they even bring up Toy Biz figures for 1 and 2. Sure the scale shrunk and the articulation faded away, but every figure released for this movie was unique, almost better to buy these and leave them in the box because they're so much more enjoyable that way. I'm releasing a video this Christmas on my Spider-Man 3 collection, displaying open and packaged figures, statues, movies, games, book, all of that as well as shedding some background, insight, and personal experiences relating to each item you see. I hope you can check it out eventually, I really hope my video is on par with your content, I love it so much.
There were a couple figures that weren't in this video mainly the new goblin with a removable mask as well as a different sandman figure and another venom besides these 2
Wow those Spider-man mini mates figure are actually quite impressive, that Gwen really looks just like her from the movie its amazing the accuracy you can get on such small figures. Of course that Bully Maguire figure is the best of the lot for me. Love the spider-man vids keep it up!
I'm late to the party and haven’t read through all of the comments, but the Symbiote Takeover Spidey (half-red/half-black) was from the Spider-Man Trilogy line and a K-Mart exclusive.
the Spiderman 3 figures went downhill. As a kid I had the OG spiderman 1 and 2 toys and they were great, also had Green Goblin and Doc Oc (The originals) and all were great. Seeing the spiderman 3 figures as a kid made me stop wanting them. Even from this vid I can tell they seem to have cheaped out in a sense. great vid nonetheless.
I can not even begin to imagine how amazing it would be to have a collection of yours. It is just absolutely insane!!! I am a new follower of the channel and I’ve got to say, I was looking for some quality content about Spider-Man action figures and when I found your videos I was not disappointed!! I absolutely love your enthusiasm!! I am also a beginner collector. My collection consists of about 11 figures and one of them happens to be a 2005 ToyBiz bullseye! I just thought I would share that. Have a great day!!
I am so glad you found the channel. Remember, that was a point in time where I only had 11 figures! As I always remind people, it is not about how many figures you have, but about loving the ones you do have! Welcome to this great hobby, which can inspire joy, imagination and creativity!
I remember having those Dock-Ock, Sandman and Lizard figures when I was younger, though I'm fairly certain someone threw out the lizard ones tail.... eEther way, neat.
Would’ve been interesting to see toybiz do the spider-man 3 figures still have my spider-man 1 and 2 figures from when i was a kid . I miss toybiz they gave you quality collectible figures for a good price
They really did, but Hasbro is producing really, really quality figures these days. I know everyone hates the price increases, but that isn't fully in Hasbro's control
Never knew there were figures based off of the Spider-Man 3 game, they look really great! I like the Sandman 6 inch figure and BAF, both are good. I don't like that Venom though. I'm also pretty sure Hasbro went with that green color on Goblin because it was based on the end fight I think? My biggest problem is that black suit Spider-Man, they should have made a new mold for the chest and used other parts from the Spider-Man they used for this wave.
I had most, if not all, of the 5-inch figures as a kid. After all, Spider-Man 3 is the movie that got me to love the character, so no matter how bad people might say it, I will always defend it. Plus, it’s still better than The Amazing Spider-Man 2. In fact, I have ranked above Holland’s two previous solo outings as the character as well. But anyway, my friends and I used to recreate the fights from the movie or make our own battles. I even had other non-movie Spideys so we’d do Spideys vs the bad guys. We pretty much predicted No Way Home. 😂 Great memories to think about while watching this video.

4:34 "Hasbro is a TOY company, they are not a COLLECTOR company."
I mean, maybe back in 2007, but now?
I think they are still a toy company, but they do listen to collectors
Absolutely loved that you gave Minimates a shoutout! Having been collecting them for over a decade now, I have constantly been impressed by both their range of characters and detailing. Maybe you are already aware, but they recently got Transformers and GI Joe licenses and both are spectacular in the minimate form!
roblox
i have so many figures and toys from spider-man 3, the first movie i ever saw in the theater
Ahhh - great memories
There was a Spider-Man 3 venom toy that wasn't covered in this. It was the symbiote monster from the end of the movie. It came with black goo that you would load up and it would come out of the mouth. Very messy toy to say the least
That is pretty cool - was it in the 5 inch scale?
One of my favorite movies growing up as a kid.
8:19 That Mysterio Head Looks Like Quan Chi From Mortal Kombat
Ahahahaha I still have my venom in package lmao I love it lol 😂
nice!
Oh man, that Bully Maguire figure is perfect!
I swear as a kid I had an awesome Spiderman figure That was ripped and you could see Peter's face but I haven't seen it since I was less than 10 so I have NO idea how good it truly was
Check out some of my other videos on Spider-Man movie figures - that specific figure is featured multiple times!
I got the 6 inch venom for a friend and it was so incredible to me i tried to purchase it again and accidentally bought the 5inch 🤦
I still have like a dozen of these things and I have zero shame in any of them.
And of course the Venom fig I had was the cool purple one xD I think I also had the 6-inch Spider-Man, but my dog murdered him
No shame in your game!
That is great! I'll check it out!
I remember I wanted some of the 5 inch figures video game figures, but I wanted them in 6 inch.
exactly
There were a couple figures that weren't in this video mainly the new goblin with a removable mask as well as a different sandman figure and another venom besides these 2
Thanks for the info - I try to only feature toys I actually have - must have missed those back in the day!
the stand for mj was from spiderman 2 its the building they were in at the final battle and it looks like sand but its just ruble
Thanks for clarifying that - you can see how easy it would be to confuse
@@CarbonScoring but to be fair the head for mj is just very bad simsons rip off looking hybrid
Never understood why Hasbro didn’t just recolor the super poseable Spider-man 2 in black

Wow those Spider-man mini mates figure are actually quite impressive, that Gwen really looks just like her from the movie its amazing the accuracy you can get on such small figures. Of course that Bully Maguire figure is the best of the lot for me. Love the spider-man vids keep it up!
I appreciate it - I think we are going to have to incorporate the MiniMates more in upcoming videos
The orgin is the Spider-Man 3 movie image the half symbiote half Spider-Man
I'm late to the party and haven’t read through all of the comments, but the Symbiote Takeover Spidey (half-red/half-black) was from the Spider-Man Trilogy line and a K-Mart exclusive.
K-Mart Exclusive!!! Wow - that is great info - thanks!!!
Where could I find the Spiderman half symbiot action figure?
Man, I didn't even remember where that one came from - at this point, ebay would be your best bet
I had that half and half spidey when I was a kid I loved it!
It is super cool!

the Spiderman 3 figures went downhill.
I got that black Spider-Man from the build a figure line on Christmas 2007 at Walmart meaning these figures came out in 2007 not 2008.
In all honestly if all the figures we got were 6 inch then this would be the best spider-man movie figure line. Really shows how important scale is
Agree - scale is vital!
It has been fun in these comments to see how much everyone really enjoyed PLAYING with those toys! Exactly what they were meant for!
Why does this make me like mini mates so much more?
Uhhh… CAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME!!!
I Know I just bought some AND THEIR GREAT
Also hi
They made M.J look like a 50 year old woman who got a lot of surgeries to look younger and just looks like she's going super saiyan 3
I couldn't have said it better myself!
that Venom figure looks almost identical to Riot from the Venom movie
kinda does, huh?
I remember buying the limited edition venom figure at Walmart thinking it’s gonna be a collector’s item one day, how wrong I was lol
It probably still goes for a ton on eBay
I feel like Thinkway’s 9 inch spidey was the coolest figure. It’s basically like a scaled up super poseable Spider-Man. Always loved that one
There's an Editors cut of spiderman 3 that you can find on youtube and it makes the movie soooo much better
That is excellent - I am glad this video brought back those great memories!
