The last doc ock is actually a hasbro release. The toybiz one has all of the tentacles posable. Loved the format of this video tho. I’m glad the knowledge of this line is getting out there.
Thanks - I think the body is actually the ToyBiz one because it has much better paint apps compared to another one I have with the exact same sculpt, but it sounds like I put the wrong tentacles on it!
I remember losing my magnet Spidey that I loved so much, the next year a taxi driver saw me eyeing his own magnet Spidey throughout the whole ride and gave it to me. Memories are etched into that figure.
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us! Good job to whoever wins the giveaway, whether it’s someone else or I, I hope you enjoy the figure! (I know I will if I win), and I hope you enjoy this video!
The Spider-Man at 28:26 with the magnets is actually the version that goes with the base at 40:37. The less articulated version with magnets in both the hands and feet belongs to the Empire State Building display. Connect him to the top and he will swivel all the way down the pole. Similarly, the doc ock shown around the 41:00 mark is not the correct doc ock. The version for the final wave was actually a brand new sculpt entirely. With less articulation, a better sculpt and (4) bendy tentacles. I believe the version you are showing is one of the hasbro rereleases from one of the 2007-2009 waves to coincide with the third film.
I adore the Raimi trilogy. In fact, they are my all time favorite movies! When you look back,I am amazed at the detail these figures have. Nowadays,it's common for statues and figures to have accurate facial details and looks. But back in 2002? Not so much. That Mary Jane figure especially, looks SO much like Kirsten Dunst! I love your reviews in this video. Great work!
impressed with just how much plastic they could include in a single box back in the day. I get why it's not the standard nowadays, but loved how they went all out with the diorama pieces.
It was an amazing time that I didn't fully appreciate - I just wanted the figures back then and tossed the accessories in a box - sadly I have lost many of them to time...
Congratulations to the Giveaway winners! I just like revisiting this previous lines, If toy biz still has something over hasbro, is the variety of 6 inch toylines, all of them with articulation, bases, features, we got Spider-man Classics, x-men, Hulk, Legends and Movie Toylines all separate, today it's just the Legends line, not that it is as bad, but I just wish that hasbro could return to that, imagine having at least 3 versions of a Spidey Figure based on a design, with different bases or accessories, you'll get 3 chances at the same figure for retail price, not dealing with scalpers that much. Thanks for this video, I never got any Toy Biz Raimi figures, i was too young for them at the time (2 and 4 years old respectively so probably they wouldn't have survived this long) this felt like going to a friends house and he letting me see and play with his spider-man movie figures all over again 💕.
These are always my favorite comments - when someone says watching my videos is like "going over to a friends house" - that is when I know I have done my job well!
I got the Super-poseable Spidey for my 10th birthday back in 2007 when there were still leftover figures from Spider-Man 2 in retail stores. To this day, it's my favorite toy ever. I even had the bilboard base with the rope he could use to swing, but I remember I didn't have anywhere to hang it and my parents wouldn't allow me to drill 2 holes in the wall in my room to hang it there so I put it away and it got lost to time, unfortunately. But I still own the figure and it's in prestine condition with almost 0 painting errors and no loose joints. I still have him standing next to my desk, "protecting me". :) I will probably keep him with me for as long as I live.
I still have my 2002 super posable Spider-Man. I used to have a Green Goblin + Glider (that shot pumpkin bombs) so cool. The toys from the first movie were way too good looking
What a great video. I remember running around with my gf at the time & best friend to different Toys R Us stores in the NY/NJ/CT areas looking for these Spider Man movie Toys. I had a bunch, but not all. Unfortunately, most of my Sam Rami-verse figures are gone thanks to a couple boxes tuning up missing during a move. The hunt is on for them though. Congrats to all the winners!
I can’t wait for this review to see all of the figures from this amazing era! And good luck to everybody who entered the giveaway and good job to whoever wins!
i would draw spider man with a bit of black for that venom look. The spider man toys made me really appreciate the joints, the more movement the better, more immersive for the fight scenes i did as a child
I was a big Spider-Man fan when I was a child and still am re-watching all of the old Spider-Man movies just bring me back to nostalgia and I remember getting my first Spider-Man action figure for the first time
Late to the party. Great video. This video is super nostalgic to me as I had a handful of the Spider-Man 2 figures growing up. I’ve added a few details missed: As pointed out 40:37 is the real magnetic spider-man for 28:26. Arguably the best spider-man 2 figure after the super poseable. 30:27 after you’ve loaded the web blast (with a click), you squeeze Spidey’s legs to shoot 37:15 battle attack spidey is similar to the spin and kick spidey in the same wave. Play feature spider-man with bendable tentacles base 39:47 I recall Doc Ocks bottom tentacles “fingers” also clasp inwards
I remember I had that wave 2 Green Goblin, lost to time sadly. But strangely I remember it having the wave 1 goblin figure on it as well.. maybe I had both and don't remember properly.
The aerial flipping spiderman is completely different than the web trap. Different sculpt and paint. Look at the spider symbols, the butterfly joints and height. Aerial flipping spiderman is the same as the Pizza Scooter spiderman just with fisted hands.
So heres to the people who are confuse for the Spider-Man 2 wave. The super poseable Spidey comes woth 2 versions, 1 normal and 1 with magnets on the feet ONLY (both come with billboards). Then there was the Web trap Spidey and Magnetic Spidey. Both exact same figure except that the magnetic spidey has magnets on his hands and feet and comes with that super long pole. Then there was the aerial flipping Spidey and Pizza scooter Spidey. Both same figure except that aerial flipping as fisted hands, wider neck, slightly different paint and his hip joints are popping out a bit. Then every other figure is those with those kid features ( most of those uses parts of the Web trap Spidey)
Toybiz is so goated for giving us figures like this. The amount of detail, care for sculpt and movie accuracy and those awesome accessories and play features like cmon man. I dont even like gimmicks typically but they gave us multiple versions of a character in case you fancy articulation more. Hasbro still got nothing on my favorite toy company. Thanks Carbon Scoring!
Unlocking childhood memories. I was able to get my hands on the 12in poseable Spider-Man from Spider-Man 2 the other day and the difference between it and the new 12 inch figures is crazy. Wow
Good luck everyone! This is the first giveaway I’ve ever entered so I hope I win! Super excited for this video as well, my cousin use to have all of these toy biz figures and I’d always be in awe looking at them.
On the first spiderman you showed by any chance were the shoulder joints making a spring/gear noise or if the torso and arms felt like they retracting like they were hooked on a rubber band?
@@CarbonScoring oh ok I was wondering Bc I bought one recently and I noticed whenever I rotated the shoulder 360• it made a gear noise. I think back then they had different joints inside the figure.
the first figures i got when i was 8 years old, on May 06, 2001 (my birthday) was the spider-man with the gargoyle and green goblin with the glider! so nostalgic. 🥰
I know that I mentioned in one of your videos that I had a Willem Dafoe Green Goblin and Spiderman and it was stolen while those Toybiz Spiderman movie figures were good at the time, I wouldn't mind if HASBRO did a redo on Toby Maguire Spiderman, Willem Dafoe Green Goblin, Alfred Molina Doctor Octopus, along with the other villains and Andrew because we got Tom Holland Spiderman figs already, But still, Love your videos.
XDDDDD oh my God that was fricken hilarious the way you had that pause when you had the jj Jamison figure d his play feature and that last Parker then pausing and resuming to say "parker...are you you deaf?" Caught me off guard that pause was unintentionally really funny
Such a big fan of this channel. Great collection. After No Way Home I went in my attic and found all the super posable Spideys in fantastic but opened condition plus super posable Ock and Goblin. The Retro nostalgia is high here! Keep ot coming!
I've got the Battle Ravaged Spidey, Web Swinging Spidey, Rapid Punch Spidey and 2 of the Tentacle Attack Doc Ock's. UPDATE: just got Leaping Spidey, Battle Ravaged Green Goblin, bump and go cycle Green Goblin, Norman Osborn, another Tentacle Attack Doc Ock and Bendable Tentacle Doc Ock
I hope for everyone for best luck!! Whoever wins gets it! Im gonna pray for my dad for help. Even if I dont win its been fun to join this experience. I still love your videos!! Its so fun to watch. Also its Saturday!! Every Saturday i wear spiderman clothes so i hope i win!!
I remember these toys for such wrong reasons 😂 my family was broke as hell so i never really got any of them and had to be envious of my neighbor and classmate whos dad bought him like ALL of them... and then on christmas that year i opened the spiderman 2 magnetic super posable spidey!... and my mom stabbed a pair of scissors THROUGH HER HAND opening it and had to go to the ER on christmas morning 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@CarbonScoring about 50 stitches and some tetanus shots later yes! She was fine and I was throwing spidey at the metal closet door in my room and hoping he'd stick there 😂😂
If I didn't got picked to win, It's okay because this channel is a lot of fun for all viewers can enjoy knowing MARVEL'S history on comics, action figures from companies like Toybiz and HASBRO, and yes MARVEL and DC are still going strong because they try very hard while some things don't work out for the movies like story, plots place, etc.
Man all of the toys are really detailed and I like the stuff that they did for the kids playing with the toys but I am also wondering what number was I at the chart
That "Shoot and Slide" Spiderman is actually the Super-Posable Spider-Man The Shoot and Slide one had less articulation, like it lacks the ab crunch, articulated fingers and has the hips from the Spider-Man 1 super posable Also the first magnetic Spider-Man came with the base of the last one, and vise versa
I am sorry to inform you but that Is not the shoot and slide spiderman, because it has articulation in the stomach and the shoot and slide spiderman isn't articulated in the stomach. 35:45
Thanks - these figures are all really similar and most of them have been in storage for years - even checking photo reference before making the video (some of which can be wrong as they are the prototype promo shots before the product hits the market) isn’t enough to get it all right - I appreciate your eagle eyes!

What a great story, love when stuff like that happens
Those accessories are crazy. Toy biz was ahead of their time. Hasbro would never release something like that nowadays…
I don't think there is any way they could with the current prices
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us! Good job to whoever wins the giveaway, whether it’s someone else or I, I hope you enjoy the figure! (I know I will if I win), and I hope you enjoy this video!
Men I hope I win
I really want that action figure if ha chose me that's my first action figure and I'm from Philippines Soo I'm waiting him to go live bye
Well, everyone hopes they win, even I, and everyone else who entered the giveaway, but still, good luck to all!
Dude Toybiz toys are just on a totally different planet when compared to today's figures... the attention to detail was outstanding
We still get great figures today, but none of it would be possible without what ToyBiz did!

I got all of these back when they came out 20 years ago!
The green goblin figure from wave one is beautiful and the super possible spider-man was and still is amazing
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for being at the premiere earlier today!
My favorite spider men is the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man and my second favorite is the Tobey Maguire.
the nob on the spin and kick spiderman is actually the button to activate the kick, u gotta wind it up and use that to let it go
27:48 , the super posezble with magnetic feet is not the actual figure for this base. The last base is from the 2002 battle damaged spider-man
Thank you carbón scoring for doing a giveaway like this and also congratulation to the winners
I wish everyone could get the figure, but I only had the one!
i think the way u talk bout thses figures in all ur vids are amazing
