"don't test drive till unless you're ready to buy" this couldn't be more true 😂 I went on a test drive one weekend, had to go back to test drive again and that day I ordered my 24 model 3 performance. I couldn't be happier with my decision

Yep. Taking delivery of my AWD Model 3, blue with white interior, 18" wheels on May 18th!!
Awesome! I almost got my performance in blue, such a pretty color, but at the last second got the red. My current daily is a Mazda 3, and I loved the red in it, but got Grey instead. But every time Ai saw a red one, I wished I had it. So went with the red.
Delivery in June.

Either way, I've committed. Had set aside enough money to buy a model 3 performance back in January. But when they kept not announcing it, I lost patience on March 22nd & bought Tesla stock with it... Then the released the performance model... Lol.
So I ordered it anyway, and now I'm finding the cash for it. Delivery in June.
Will be my first EV. Looking forward to it.
I'm one of those weirdos who was a huge fan and a stockholder from fairly early on, but never bought one myself. One of the reasons was I had a bad experience in one of the early Model S's.
A friend of mine got him on a list and we were going to drive from his hangar at an airport to a ski resort about an hour away. It happened to be one of the coldest nights of the year and we left the hangar at three in the morning when it was about 20 below outside. The car did fine for the first 45 minutes or so, but then the cold got into the battery and we watched the range plummet and ended up having to limp to the lodge.
The car is great car, he retired it to Palm Beach and it's still there.
But that put me off having an electric car for a good long time. But then I saw how the Norwegian countries were buying a ton of testlets and how Tesla obviously has dressed the issues since that time. As long as you use the car intelligently, there's no problem using it in cold weather.
So I'm ready to take the plunge and buy my first one.
I’d love a new Tesla but my old lady 2018 with 150k miles is still going strong. Going to just continue to drive that thing till it’s dead.

another by-product of these changes, the used Tesla market EXPLODED, I wasn't able to justify a 40k purchase on a car however I recently bought a 2022 Red Model 3 Long Range with the acceleration boost and full self driving for 28,500 dollars, the battery is great, there's a couple scratches on the car but that's it. I just picked it up last week and its been incredible.

You are right about the test drive. I was SO content with waiting for the refresh for the y bc i already had a paid off rav4 hybrid. i just wanted to test drive one just to see if i liked it. Apparently i like it too much. I no longer have my rav4…
My delivery range for my Performance is July 4th to August 15th. Can't wait!! It feels so far away 😢

When you prefer to refresh or highland what car in 2024 model 3 are you preferring to? The RWD basis model? The long range model? Or the performance model? Because I try to get floor mats and mud flaps for my 2024 performance (0-60 in 2.9 second) just want to make sure they fit. All these 3 cars consider a refresh/ highland ? Or they are call different names ? Most vendors out there using highland or refresh. Thanks
As of right now no one has confirmation if floor mats that fit the rwd and lr will fit the performance. We should know by the end of the month though
I’m personally holding out for the refreshed y in midnight cherry. On top of that, I am currently saving so there is no car payment when I’m ready to buy it.

The new Washington state $9K EV credit really shouldn't be celebrated. It's eligibility based on max income is so low (less than $100K for a family of four, and leas than $50K for an individual), it makes buying a new electric car an extremely bad financial decision (spending your entire income on a depreciating asset). Lease might make sense on paper, but then again, if you're making so little, you might want to rethink what you're driving
WA is very good at creating policies and incentives that achieve the opposite intended outcomes, but sure sound nice if you don't care about details.
how quiet is the cabin at highway speeds? and does the cabin get hot due to the glass top?

I purchased my new Model 3 2024 a month ago, and honestly, there is nothing to compare it to. I test drove several other EV's including BYD, BMW, AUDI, Volkswagen and Kia and trust me, they are all years behind Tesla. There is currently no comparison with software alone. Most legacy car makers are doing everything they can to destroy Tesla right now, and I imagine that will continue into the future as they have never been threatened like this before, and are now in full panic mode. I have no sympathy for any of them as they have collectively sold us lies and rhetoric for the past 30+ years with incremental upgrades and marketing BS, all the while not doing R&D, which Tesla has achieved in massive leaps and bounds in less than 10 years. Go Elon and Tesla!
M3P is on order in white/black. Looks like a sweet car for the $ especially with all the Performance upgrades. Just waiting for my number to be called!

I hope your ordered vehicle is not delayed. I can't tell if you image at :11 sec is your choice or just a stock image. Stealth Gray with white seems like something you'd choose. I have to say the white interior selection on the LR, when it was first launched, has been delayed until Mid to late June 2024. White interiors appear to go into production later then black. This also happened in the past. With the new Performance and white interior, you might have to wait until late June or even later. Let's hope you don't have to wait 6mths for a car with white interior like the LR versions. The Image you've shown is kind of a large est delivery window. If it starts to narrow down to just 1 week you might have a new car. Let's hope I'm wrong.
So far the few people that have gotten M3P VINs have had white interior. In typical Tesla fashion there is no rhyme or reason. Lot of those folks are people that changed their order to the Performance, they seem to have been moved (rightly IMO) to the front of the line.

Maybe hold off buying until the Model 2 becomes available? But I agree Model 3 is a great EV, I think it is one of the most efficient EVs, and also one of the lightest for its size. I also like the minimalist interior.
I really want the FY24 Highlander Long Range, hopefully they bring back the tax credit which is rumored to happen year end, or I will wait and see if the Model Y refresh is enticing. I dont really want the Performance as I prefer the range and don't care about going 180 or super fast on my daily commute, and the seats felt more comfortable in the Long Range

I am waiting for parking sensors and turn signals in form of levers for model 3. Maybe in the future editions, ince Tesla actually listens to whining of their clients unlike BMW or VW in general.
