Traverse City is the cherry capital of the WORLD. So they have that going for them which is nice, which also means they should be using natural cherry flavoring. They have some excellent wineries up there too!

As a Michigander, Traverse City Whisky Co is one of my favorite local distillers. Their classic Bourbon at 86 proof is a super easy and mellow sipper for everybody even those that normally don't sip whisky. Their cherry is a great cocktail mixer and is partially responsible for starting my last relationship. Haven't had the chance to try their rye or cask strength but I'd love to soon.
Being from Michigan, I have a lot of pride in Traverse City Whiskey Co, and since I saw the Barrel Proof I've wanted to try it, but the near $80 price tag has meant it is just too far out of my price range.
Interesting timing. I just picked up a bottle of the Single Barrel Traverse City Bourbon. Still a couple more hours till I can crack it open and give a taste though. Bottle says this barrel was 61.3%

I'm with Daniel on the latest season of Doctor Who. Chris Chibnall sucks. I really enjoyed Jodie Whitaker as the Doctor. That wasn't an issue at all. She was fantastic and did her best with the crap writing she was handed. I loved her humor and the energy she brought to the Doctor. She also had a gravity to her that I though fit perfectly. However, I didn't connect at all with the supporting cast. They got on my nerves after a while. Basically they wasted what could have been a groundbreaking character arc (a woman Doctor). Doctor Who rant over. My local liquor store has a decent selection of Traverse City Whiskey Co (Cbus Ohio is like less than 7hrs from Traverse City). I need to pick me up a bottle and try this for myself.

I'll say their 3yr old single barrel is better. They are only on year 4 now of full farm to glass distillation using all NY products as far as I know.
