Sorry for the redundancy for the first 6 months. Many of you waited very patiently for Volume 3, but I gave up on the separate volumes in favor of making the giant video. Hopefully that works 👍🏼 2023 was a good year for lost media finds. I think 2022 had bigger, more significant finds, but 2023 absolutely had some knockouts too. Let me know which year was your favorite :)

Finding the Shrek test animation and the MARIO Creepypasta origin image this year gave me hope that we may be able to find Jeff the Killer’s origin image!
The image's origin was blurred distorted image of a passerby's face in japan. The source image from a forum is one thing. It is futile track down the actual person in a city 125 million.
iirc I think it was already found? I think Lazy Masquerade did a video recently that at the very least pinpointed the person the image is edited off of, but not the picture itself.
It's wild to think how many people have lost media that they don't know is being searched for. I have all of that "Muppet Guys Talking" stuff on my laptop, had no clue any of it was ever considered "lost"

@@a-rat-in-your-wallsa piece of lost media nobody really talks about is 4 Devils by F.W. Murnau. It’s supposedly a classic and groundbreaking film from 1928 but all prints are destroyed.
there's something i've only ever seen two other people talk about, it's called sector 97 and its a psp game/webcomic about the f1 driver fernando alonso. i found a few pages of one of the issues but everything else was probably lost with the death of flash...
Or how all lost media is lost until one of the searchers declare it found The amount of times some guy independently dumped it months/years before being “found” is crazy
Some honorable mentions: -The Owl House pilot (February) -Sky Gamestar games (April 20th) -Daft Punk - Face to Face samples (July 1st) -Spongebob Behind Closed Doors (July 18th) -Cleopatra 41-second clip (September 14th) -"Smoking Stinks" Yellow Guy PSA (September 21st) -How Long Will It Take (December 8th)
Was the owl house pilot actually found because I always see people say this and then someone else says it's not the actual full pilot or a test animation
That smoking stinks caused me to pause because I'm also looking for an anti smoking ad that scared me as a kid. It's been hard and annoying to find because UA-cam has been showing me anti smoking ads and ads promoting tobacco after this. Edit: unfortunately it's not that
@@giornothepastaboss285todd Edwards (the pioneer for the song) had decided to finally give the samples under their (daft punks) permission iirc, pedro winter (ed banger records owner, massive friends with all three of them) had like. fan girl posted about it LOL, it was like 100 samples and everyone in the community freaked out and some very talented people recreated the song
honestly the fact that the FilthyFrank Kenya song was actually from a Ugandan gospel song that has been sitting on youtube since 2011 is really poetic ngl lmao a lot of the times, lost media is more likely uncovered and either hasn’t been found by the public or it isn’t online. Paul Tibbitt even just confirmed that the Sailor Mouth uncensored vhs exists since he used to own it. it’s looking like a good year for lost media
Bruh...the uncensored Sailor Mouth is one of my holy grails of lost media. That, the many versions of Open Sesame, and Eurovision 1964. Those are my three.
Hey, i'm the person who found the album "Sacks of people"! Thank you for mentioning me, very gratefull to be apart of the lost media community!! Keep it up dude, love your stuff
Not only they found the origin of the Victim #1 image (which you didn't show in this video), they also uncovered LOST parts of the creepypasta, which involved three or four other romhacks and some audio files that weren't included in the creepypasta's story. The creepypasta was intended to be an ARG, but failed.
That’s actually interesting, I always thought it was what was told on mullet mike’s creepy gaming video. It really makes me wonder about some of the other creepypastas and their intent.
Recently, one of the people who worked on SpongeBob revealed on Twitter he used to have a VHS copy of the original sailor mouth dub with cursing proving that it exists and that it might actually be found. Especially if they're multiple copies out in the world.
Some UK Based corrections: For The Tweenies Segment Cbeebies is a channel, not a TV Show, with The Tweenies being the show name. TV Burp is an Australian Adaptation of Harry Hill's TV Burp, which was popular and ran for several seasons in the UK
I just hate how so many TV networks, especially prior to the digital age, just left their series' to rot after they were done airing, especially when it came to children's/animated series. So much more work needs to be done to preserve these works.
It's a simple explanation. Most of those kids shows were seen as disposable entertainment made to ride the wave of animation during those times. As a result, networks had no incentive to preserve them. That's why some are permanently lost or very difficult to find. Unfortunate but true.
@@Mighty.Matcha. But when they do, they just gatekeep it from the public. What I mean is that they don't make any digital releases and the only way to access them is to visit the museum.
This is just how things were for a very long time. Until the home video market of the 1970s or so, old films would often just be destroyed because they had no further monetary value. This is why so many silent films are forever lost. Other times, films would literally be destroyed by fire or just rot because of how unstable film stock used to be. Likewise, a lot of early sports broadcasts are lost because it was felt there would be no need to see them again. Wilt's 100-point game, for example, was taped over. I believe one of the earliest Super Bowls recordings is lost. It's unfortune, but that's how things are. If there is no way to keep making money from it, they tend to get destroyed and lost.
49:28 Small correction, but CBeebies isn't actually a show but rather a kid's channel here in the UK. There are hosts that kinda bridged continuity between shows kinda like Cartoon Network did, but the shows are distinctly different. The show "The Tweenies" actually predates CBeebies, since it was shown on the thing that came before back when they were merged with CBBC, but the reruns ran on CBeebies so it counts.
Wrong CBeebies used to be a show, CBeebies like CBBC and CITV were shows that showed other shows within them. On BBC1 CBeebies and CBBC prior to the digital tv switchover on analog tv they were shown first early In the morning, first CBBC and then later on in the morning CBeebies until they ended and adult tv started. Then around the time kids were returning home from school CBBC would start again for a while until again ending for adult tv to start once more. So before they were whole channels they were tv shows.
Correction for victim #1, i think 1:28:12 As someone who is probably way too obsessed with visual kei, the genre of band this is, i'm pretty sure this is a cosplay of dir en grey's singer Kyo, not himself trying to advertise the band :)) but i havent watched the video shown here, so edit: it's from the "obscure" era of dir en grey, so the first few search results of kyo will look VERY different. The band has had alot of eras
Bro I was so mad he didn’t mention. When he originally posted about it being found on twitter, I had quote retweeted the tweet and so many of us Dir en Grey fans were laughing about how nobody seemed to realize it was a cosplay of him😭
our footloose remake sounds ahead of its time considering how popular similar works of reanimated famous scenes are nowadays. it's crazy that it wasn't just a song, or a single episode of a show done that way, but an entire movie! that's amazing to manage
1:34:21 Correction here, MAME is not a ROM site, its a collection of emulators compiled into a single "super emulator" so to speak. When Phil Bennett says that the game was "added to MAME," what he means is that an emulator for this particular arcade game was built and added to MAME's source code.
I think my favorite found media has been the song “How Long (Will It Take)”. It felt like there was no hope until the artist found out about it. It was such a melancholic and nostalgic song and now that’s it’s fully found, I replay it so much :D
I remember looking for “a self induced hallucination” after becoming obsessed with Jane’s other movie, “we’re all going to the world’s fair.” I was so frustrated that I couldn’t find it anywhere!! I’m so glad it’s been found, I will definitely be watching :-)
I'm in awe that they found new D-Day footage. That's something I would've never expected. Good work on the video and the searches, everyone!! Looking forward to what we find in 2024!!
The fact that the studio who worked with Dreamworks decided to release Shreks first footege makes me wonder if they thought "Nah if anybody is gonna leak our stuff its gonna be ourselves"
The "Royal Wedding" painting being found was outstanding. Gives you hopes that perhaps one day we will recover the biggest pieces of lost media: the stolen Rembrandts.
there’s potential lost media i’ve known about for a few years. the late rapper Fredo Santana was producing a film entirely on his own and released numerous trailers and teasers but went unreleased as he passed in 2018. his wife said that she can’t access his laptop because she can’t remember the password and not only that but also tons of unreleased music could be on it as well
I definitely think that 2022 and 2023 were great years for lost media being found, I will never forget the joy I had when the Kingdom Hearts pilot was found. I was also happy that Yuri the Spaceman was found, mostly because of the nostalgia I got watching your videos back when I was in middle school.
That is really sweet ^ KH Pilot find was legitimately a much welcome surprise. In an age where digital gaming is being used more as a means to restrict and bury content it's nice to see those looking to keep it alive.
Just a few days ago, it was announced that The Day the Clown Cried could get screened this year. If that gets online, we could soon have the biggest find of the decade, let alone 2024.
@@souljynx The Day the Clown Cried is an unreleased Jerry Lewis film from 1972, commonly regarded as one of the most famous cancelled films in history. Lewis hated the film, but a copy was donated to the Library of Congress for screening this year, meaning that it would be the first time in 50 years that the film can be shown to the public, which would be an astronomical find
@@souljynxdude it being aired would be the biggest find in multiple decades. The day the clown cried is maybe the most famous lost media ever outside of like the lost library of Alexandria.
Would this really count as lost media, though? The film has always known to have existed, it's just due to the legal reasons it couldn't be viewed. I'm also reminded that John Malkovich did something similar. He made some film that apparently can't be viewed until the 2070s or so.
@@drygnfyrelost media is media that is not readily available and accessible by the public. it fits the criteria. lost media isn't always literally physically lost
A 2 hour video of lost media found is just insane. Congratulations to everyone who found these, this must’ve been very special to them. Seeing the MARIO creepypasta’s creepy face origin was very satisfying to see.
Hold it. There are *bounties* for lost media? That's equal parts hilarious, exciting and financially intriguing. This was a great video to listen to while drawing abd doing chores. Your voice I very easy on the ears, for a person sensitive to sound, and these entries were all interesting. I now have a few new movies to look up! (Especially "Rock Odyssey.") Thanks for making this video!
It's crazy because I remember watching Family Game Night when I was a kid. I didn't even know it was lost media because I forgot about it as I got older. It wasn't until I saw the article saying it was found that I remembered it and was hit with a full wave of nostalgia.
i feel the exact same way about that george lopez promo, i was just in the right demographic to still be watching nick jr when it was airing and was genuinely shocked that no one had archived it. looking back it's fully seared into my brain lol
20:25 Just wanted to clarify, for anyone that was as confused as I was, that he meant to say "1987" here, not "1907". That being said, if we had that kind of animation quality all the way back in 1907 I could only imagine how insane animation would look today lol
I heard about that episode being shown in full in court as part of the killers murder trial many years ago so I was always curious if that trial had been taped and lo and behold I was right.
Even though the Eva Rebuilds aren't good movies, seeing the original 3.0 dub was quite the shocker when it finally resurfaced online. It was funny enough hearing the actors distain for having to redub the entire thing, so actually getting the chance to hear their initial recordings was awesome (even though the quality of the movie wasn't the best lol)
I swear I had seen clips of it or something. I remember the poor guy describing his dream man and the crowd going wild. It was super awkward and scary knowing what would happen, but you could see the SOB get uncomfortable when Scott would talk. Such a sad horrible case
I think what makes it so upsetting is seeing how often internalized homophobia becomes violence, especially with men. It’s heartbreaking knowing how many men in the LGBTQ+ community experience violence and lose their lives when they think they’ve found a partner or friend that really accepts them.
Pretty insane that the dude got convicted for second degree murder instead of first degree, on the basis that the victim was gay. And with "pretty insane" I mean completely messed up beyond belief
The most annoying thing is when something is believed to be fully lost and then someone finds it and uploads it online... only to be copyright claimed and taken down. If the company that has the rights isn't doing anything with it and pretending it doesn't exist that's just such a scumbag move!
Thanks for the shout-out man! I've been a viewer of yours for a very long time, and your channel was honestly a big inspiration for my Filthy Frank Kenya Song video! So glad we were finally able to find it, big thanks to everyone involved!
YOOOO THIS IS SO COOL! Thanks for the shout out about the Little Shop cartoon! But a quick clarification: I was able to get two recordings of "It's a Wonderful Leaf," but neither had the song "Yogurt" fully intact. I was able to fill out the audio where I could using both and fill in the animation using the available German dub, but about 20-30 seconds of the English dub is still lost.
I really love that Sacks of people is sandwiched between 3,2,1 Penguins and VeggieTales. That kinda whiplash is what I love to see in these videos. Also, writing for this guy was among my favorite things to do this past year. I’ve learned about so many neat pieces, and I’m so happy to a part of the lost media community (;▽;) ❤️
Lost media is a topic that has always fascinated me. The process of digging through ancient archives to rediscover something, or the origins of something, that may or may not exist anymore, purely for the sake of archiving it for future generations to see, is truly admirable. And I thank you, Jorge, for introducing me to the world of lost media. P.S. Would you be so kind as to post the list of music used in this marathon of a video? I know this comes out of nowhere but you have good taste sir! 😂
This year was even crazier than I thought! It's wonderful to see a community this dedicated to preserving media. I had no idea that the beatles' first concert was discovered!
My favorite way lost media is found will always be when it's just sitting around on some UA-cam channel that stopped uploading fifteen years ago with a hundred views and one comment saying "I remember this!!!". It seems to be quite common, and it's always hilarious.
The fact the LandyNES was found in the website of Jason Scott, who (for those unacquainted) is essentially the father of internet and website archival, is somehow poetic.
How long will it take was my personal highlight! Beautiful song and the singer Paula Toledo has been great at interacting with the people who have been searching for her!
I was just casually listening to this video and heard a deBlob DS mention. I had no idea that game was even lost in the first place. Back in 2007, I was given the opportunity to play test it. Looking at the gameplay, and yep that’s exactly what I remember lol. Well I guess if I knew it had become lost media in the first place, I’d have a claim to fame. But now it’s found!
"You Can't Do That On Television" brings back memories. I grew up watching Nickelodeon with this show, Mr. Wizard, and Star Trek The Animated Series being shown early in the morning. It gave me a reason to wake up absurdly early for a kid (4:30am) so I could watch them.
One of my little finds was a different version of “Blah Blah Blah” by Ke$ha that I found sitting on my Philips MP3!! I managed to upload it somewhere so everyone can listen to what I found!
@@zedonathin330 OMGOSH forreal WE DO EXIST so many people tried to tell me this show didn't exist. I haven't been able to track down much of anything useful. It was such a good show.
I have my own Lost media. Despite looking for it for months, and even asking on Reddit, noone has managed to help me yet. Which makes me sad bc it's literally a song I saw at most two years ago on youtube, and it had many views. Maybe this year I'll find it.
I remember seeing you cover Youri the Spaceman on your channel when I was very young, so it's nice to see this chapter of my life come to an end hee hee
I audibly gasped when you said they found Fond My Mind! I love that song and hadn’t heard that it had been found; maybe I was too busy paying attention to How Long lol. I’m so glad the search has come to an end and the song is now available in fond
I'm glad that you included the Stowe School recording and Now And Then. As a Beatles fan I was really glad that Paul and Ringo finished the song, it ended up being amazing, as expected.
Fun tact, koopas actor is the late chris latta, voice of starscream and cobra commander, he had a lot of problems on set and was going to voice in the simpsons before he passed away
1:13:50 Note that TV Burp was originally a very popular show hosted by Harry Hill over in the UK. It ran from 2001 to 2012 and from what I can see the Australian version is almost identical in set design and even the specific animations on the opening segment. Odd.
i love this era of lost media because it keeps getting more and more popular. it's cool that there's a growing collective effort to archive everything that was once originally lost or forgotten
7:45 Very Happy Canadian here! Not only was YCDTOT a favorite show growing up. I had all of the episodes on a bunch of cheap Beta tapes, that desintigrated over the years. MY VCR was as reliable as Mr Plinkett's and I knew only a little more than Mike or Jay, (of repair company 'Lightning fast video repair did. Lol Just happy it's been found! I love my American neighbors but I still Love seeing their reaction, when they hear, it's Canadian!! It used to play on YTV, here in Quebec ftr. Cheers from Canada
I used to LOVE watching family game night with my parents. I haven’t thought about the show in years and i didn’t even realize it was lost. It’s so cool to not only be reminded of the show, but to know it’s available!!
Made sure I had the day available to watch this. Don't apologize for the wait, this is worth it. This is my movie for the night, 2023 was definitely a great year for lost media. 2024 will be something different. Cheers to you Jorge, you are amazing and hears to many more lost media and your channel
I love the media searches that ends like my sombre existence. One of the creators tells the public that people can take them and share them, and shares them with someone who could upload them quicker, as they were busy with work. Actively wanting to preserve something that people wanted to look for, and not looking at it from a monetary perspective. He could have decided instead to sell his disc, or lie, or just say he has it but he didn’t want to release it. There are so many people that do that, to keep rarity of something, let’s say the Blues clues pilot that Nickelodeon purposely gatekept in order to drum up blues clues hype. They had it, but they wouldn’t air it, and wouldn’t show things beyond clips. I don’t know whether they had broadcast plans, but they knew of the search and capitalised, knowing they had the master copy in full. Now we have the full pilot, however it seems to not be completely finished, missing sound effects and vocal sound in some areas.
2023 was a great year for Lost Media. Back in June, I helped to localize the first spanish dubbing that KND Kids Next Door had on Latin America, along with the 10-year special that Cartoon Network prepared about animation.
It was an interesting era, the early 90s. Imagine if the american Sailor Moon and Saint Seiya remakes were actually successful, and that's the only way we got to experience anime. Our media landscape would be very different
Family game night being found is so cool to me, I used to watch the Hub like mad as a kid and I remembering coming on every Friday. I didn’t even know it was lost
I'm gonna be real, as a MASSIVE Evangelion fan, I had no idea there was a missing Funi dub of 3.33. Though, considering the history of Funi and the recent localizer controversies, I'm really not surprised Khara and someone as strict as Anno wanted the dub redone to be more accurate. I'll have to watch both versions and see just how different they are. If it was important enough for Khara to step in and change it, it must have been pretty important.
Redoing the whole thing seems so dramatic to me. It makes me wonder how inaccurate the original even was or if it's just key moments in the story that needed changing. lol 🤔
@@32-bitcloud If it's "just" key moments, it means that all trust is lost. Would you want to pay a company that messes up key features of your project?
@@kaminekoch.7465 Sure, they obviously trust Funimation enough so I don't see why not... The voice talent is fine, its the translators that goof up sometimes. Japanese is a tricky language to translate and words/sentences can mean multiple things. I think that's where Khara steps in, to have even the most nuanced of situations translated sufficiently. Or perhaps they're just picky, who knows?
Happy this video is back. Like many followers, we didn't finish the whole video and were disheartened when it went missing. Thanks for bringing it back, Jorge.
The trailer and synopsis for Space Monster Wangmagwi makes it seem like it's going to be a typical "kaiju rampage controlled by aliens" kind of movie (which for the most part it is) but what it doesn't tell you that it is a bit of a comedy with some interesting scenes that happens in the film. It's actually pretty entertaining for how weird it is. Definitely a great find for those that love showa kaiju films. And a piece of lost media I hope end up getting found one day is the full event footage of the 1970 world expo Godzilla vs. Gamera stage show. That is like the holy grail of kaiju lost media imo.
um jammer lammy now has to be my top lost media find of the year. it's seriously so awesome that it was found after all these years of it being so elusive.
2023 was an amazing year for lost media! It’s so interesting to recover these lost media episodes, especially when they come from the strangest places!
How ironic & stupid it is to ban an episode of a show meant to teach children basic safety with blades. Every home has knives of some sort, so it is critical to teach children this important lesson so they don't suffer traumatic injuries or even death. Even the pilot of Cow & Chicken was banned because it featured the smoking of cigarettes, but it was a no smoking PSA story! Idiots, the lot of them.
How does one get into this community of lost media? Is there a usual place to engage or is it random people asking "Does anyone remember this..." then they try to find it?
the lost media wiki (sometimes abbreviated lmw) tends to be the main website where discussion happens since it has a forum, but really it can happen anywhere given that there are enough people interested!
It's certainly possible, the only official source we have saying It's lost is Yuji Naka when he revealed it was going to be in Sonic Mega Collection but couldn't be found... but like, it's Yuji Naka. Guy's notoriously a douchebag. He may have just been embarrassed to release it as the main programmer on Sonic 1 and 2, or may have not even looked for it very hard.
1:34:15 Minor correction, Burns' actually ended up reaching out to Did You Know Gaming after they made a video on the Pokemon Garten restoration project, and DYKG would then get him in contact with Rufus and his team in order to properly archive it.
Sorry for the redundancy for the first 6 months. Many of you waited very patiently for Volume 3, but I gave up on the separate volumes in favor of making the giant video. Hopefully that works 👍🏼
2023 was a good year for lost media finds.

I would not be at all surprised if it turns out that the origins of the Jeff the Killer image was right under our noses the entire time.
The image's origin was blurred distorted image of a passerby's face in japan. The source image from a forum is one thing. It is futile track down the actual person in a city 125 million.
We can only pray. 🙏
iirc I think it was already found? I think Lazy Masquerade did a video recently that at the very least pinpointed the person the image is edited off of, but not the picture itself.

Isn’t it crazy that something isn’t lost until someone reports it as lost? The amount of things that have just been, forgotten…
Honestly the thought kinda saddens me. 😓
Most of film history is just... gone. So much of it was just never preserved and everyone who saw it is dead now.
Or how all lost media is lost until one of the searchers declare it found
The amount of times some guy independently dumped it months/years before being “found” is crazy
Some honorable mentions:
-The Owl House pilot (February)
-Sky Gamestar games (April 20th)
-Daft Punk - Face to Face samples (July 1st)
-Spongebob Behind Closed Doors (July 18th)
-Cleopatra 41-second clip (September 14th)
-"Smoking Stinks" Yellow Guy PSA (September 21st)
-How Long Will It Take (December 8th)
Was the owl house pilot actually found because I always see people say this and then someone else says it's not the actual full pilot or a test animation
That smoking stinks caused me to pause because I'm also looking for an anti smoking ad that scared me as a kid. It's been hard and annoying to find because UA-cam has been showing me anti smoking ads and ads promoting tobacco after this.
Edit: unfortunately it's not that
What daft punk?! Tell me

Not only they found the origin of the Victim #1 image (which you didn't show in this video), they also uncovered LOST parts of the creepypasta, which involved three or four other romhacks and some audio files that weren't included in the creepypasta's story. The creepypasta was intended to be an ARG, but failed.

Some UK Based corrections:
For The Tweenies Segment Cbeebies is a channel, not a TV Show, with The Tweenies being the show name.
TV Burp is an Australian Adaptation of Harry Hill's TV Burp, which was popular and ran for several seasons in the UK
I remember Harry Hill's TV Burp as a kid.

glad someone said it
I just hate how so many TV networks, especially prior to the digital age, just left their series' to rot after they were done airing, especially when it came to children's/animated series.
I really wish they’d sell it and keep it jn musiems for media studies
@@Mighty.Matcha. But when they do, they just gatekeep it from the public. What I mean is that they don't make any digital releases and the only way to access them is to visit the museum.
Not really, nobody but autists care about obscure kids shows lol
2023 has been a wild year for lost media, it's crazy how so much has been found last year, Always happy to see a new vid from you man.
Some things are truly lost never to be found. Let's say deleted or destroyed.
So before they were whole channels they were tv shows.

our footloose remake sounds ahead of its time considering how popular similar works of reanimated famous scenes are nowadays. it's crazy that it wasn't just a song, or a single episode of a show done that way, but an entire movie! that's amazing to manage
The same people also did a second one for Robocop when that remake was announced. That one was just as good!
Now we have modern fan movie remakes like Shrek Retold. It's even more impressive than Footloose, considering how many people made clips for it.

1:34:21 Correction here, MAME is not a ROM site, its a collection of emulators compiled into a single "super emulator" so to speak. When Phil Bennett says that the game was "added to MAME," what he means is that an emulator for this particular arcade game was built and added to MAME's source code.

The thing that made the Bubble Guppies pilot finding so ironic, was that it was found WEEKS before the series' finale.
kinda poetic then
Damn, sad it's over, that show was one of my favorites!
there’s potential lost media i’ve known about for a few years. the late rapper Fredo Santana was producing a film entirely on his own and released numerous trailers and teasers but went unreleased as he passed in 2018. his wife said that she can’t access his laptop because she can’t remember the password and not only that but also tons of unreleased music could be on it as well
I definitely think that 2022 and 2023 were great years for lost media being found, I will never forget the joy I had when the Kingdom Hearts pilot was found.
If that gets online, we could soon have the biggest find of the decade, let alone 2024.
wait what even is that and why is it the biggest find of the decade

Shocked that the jenny jones episode was found, especially in the way it was. I assumed that was just gone forever
I heard about that episode being shown in full in court as part of the killers murder trial many years ago so I was always curious if that trial had been taped and lo and behold I was right.
Timestamp? Having a hard time finding it in his description 😅
Edit: nvm, found it lol. Around 5:32~
It probably served as evidence so it was kept archived. Messed up case.
I remember hearing about that talkshow murder. Really sad for everyone involved.
the jenny jones one? it sounded so wholesome and I was smiling hearing about it then my smile quickly went away 😭
That story took a complete 180 real fast and in the worst way possible. 😰
I have never seen a blameitonjorge video with such uplifting music
Feels like we’re entering a new era with lost media where not everything needs to be creepy
Hey, the video is back. Awesome.
I’ve learned about so many neat pieces, and I’m so happy to a part of the lost media community (;▽;) ❤️
you did fantastic!! :3 great work on the video, hope we see more from u in the future ^___^
This was such a fascinating documentary! I'm honestly hooked of the lost media coverage and makes me wonder what else we have missed!
"Funimation lost the dubbing rights because the anime studio wanted *more accurate translations* "
Why does that sound so familiar...
it aged well
@@WeedShaggywait what???
@@WeedShaggycurious too?
ive been following for a long time and it's so cool to see lost media mentioned in old episodes be found!!
My favorite way lost media is found will always be when it's just sitting around on some UA-cam channel that stopped uploading fifteen years ago with a hundred views and one comment saying "I remember this!!!". It seems to be quite common, and it's always hilarious.
Lucas and Boney :)
Also worth mentioning is the newly discovered footage from "Cleopatra" (1917)
Basically found a fossil
"You Can't Do That On Television" brings back memories. I grew up watching Nickelodeon with this show, Mr. Wizard, and Star Trek The Animated Series being shown early in the morning. It gave me a reason to wake up absurdly early for a kid (4:30am) so I could watch them.
Yooooo, Mr wizard! I loved that show.
hearing South by Southwest referred to as "SXSW" caught me off guard lolol
Great vids!
One of my little finds was a different version of “Blah Blah Blah” by Ke$ha that I found sitting on my Philips MP3!! I managed to upload it somewhere so everyone can listen to what I found!

Not sure if this will be seen but the lost pilot for Mr. Meaty "In Parker's Sight" was also randomly found in September.
I've been trying so hard to find all the Mr. Meaty episodes......a daunting task are you also a Mr. Meaty fan?

OMG SAME !!
his video on lost and banned cartoons was my intro to his channel. it's been surreal watching stuff from that era be found in recent years.
jorge being a beatles fan is probably one of the first pleasant surprises of 2024 for me
2023 was such an insane year for lost media, i hope 2024 brings forward even more cool discoveries.
I’m hoping so as well. I’m gonna start looking through VHS tapes might find something.
I think I had a disc of a show that became lost media and I had no idea at the time, and now it's gone
It will bring more than cool discoveries rest assured little npc
@@aetherland1883 where did that even came from lmao are you that hungry for attention?
@@Ekraelum their pfp explains it all, definitely hungry for attention
I’ve been a long time fan of you and AVGN but had no idea the LJN console was lost media for years omg
Odd.
Don’t apologize for redundancy I regularly rewatch all your videos 🙏 one of my absolute favorite UA-camrs
Also worth mentioning is the newly discovered footage from "Cleopatra" (1917)
i love this era of lost media because it keeps getting more and more popular. it's cool that there's a growing collective effort to archive everything that was once originally lost or forgotten

Very Happy Canadian here!
Not only was YCDTOT a favorite show growing up.
I had all of the episodes on a bunch of cheap Beta tapes, that desintigrated over the years. MY VCR was as reliable as Mr Plinkett's and I knew only a little more than Mike or Jay, (of repair company 'Lightning fast
video repair did. Lol
Just happy it's been found!
You know its a good sunday when Jorge uploads
2023 was a great year for Lost Media. Back in June, I helped to localize the first spanish dubbing that KND Kids Next Door had on Latin America, along with the 10-year special that Cartoon Network prepared about animation.
glad you mentioned Fond My Mind and Kenya Dance :) I was very excited that it got identified since I was there when it happened!
It was an interesting era, the early 90s. Imagine if the american Sailor Moon and Saint Seiya remakes were actually successful, and that's the only way we got to experience anime. Our media landscape would be very different

I just can't wait until Sailor Mouth uncensored is released. That would be the lost media find of the century.
JORGE ITS TIME TO ADD ULTERIOR MOTIVES TO THE 2024 SCRIPT
Shrek’s I Feel Good and all the lost children’s show polite being found makes 2023 a highlight for lost media!
um jammer lammy now has to be my top lost media find of the year. it's seriously so awesome that it was found after all these years of it being so elusive.
Been watching Jorge's videos for 7 years and still get the same hype when he uploads lost media or creepypasta content
Great video as always, i can't belive i watched it all in one sitting
Lost Media Wiki is a good place to learn stuff. Also, there's Lost Media subreddit but it has known better days
Hey, that's me! Never expected to be on this channel 😀
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sonic Tokyo Toy Show Prototype surfaces out of nowhere one day despite being claimed completely lost
Nothing is ever truly lost, at least that seems to be the case now lol
It's certainly possible, the only official source we have saying It's lost is Yuji Naka when he revealed it was going to be in Sonic Mega Collection but couldn't be found... but like, it's Yuji Naka. Guy's notoriously a douchebag. He may have just been embarrassed to release it as the main programmer on Sonic 1 and 2, or may have not even looked for it very hard.
Always great to see more of these videos chronicling lost media discovery.
I really hope Slamfest ‘99 is found this year. That’s the thing I’m most interested in personally.
