Decided to do some Googling since the Sharon Eugenia Davis case caught my eye. There's a little more to the Davis couple's situation than their segment told: Sharon was in the process of divorcing Ron when she disappeared in 2001, after trying and failing to do so in 1985. Their children described Ron as abusive towards their mother, and he had a habit of claiming she was mentally ill on numerous occasions. Ronnie, their son, told authorities that his father had threatened and attacked him the September after the disappearance when he confronted him about his mother's disappearance. So, yeah, if Ron really is innocent - which with the amount of actual evidence we have, is perfectly possible - then he's certainly painted himself as the single most guilty-looking innocent in the world.
i think they were both caught up in drugs. A 3rd party could’ve ended sharon over a bad debt and Ron knows but wont say anything, as not to look all the way bad. a 3rd party also could’ve threatened him and the rest of his family into not talking. all speculation of course
Not sure if you caught that Ron Davis is also a lawyer. And currently well connected with known corrupt political allies within Dallas Texas, but aside from being their lawyer Ron's really unimportant so once they die or he retires then I bet justice will happen.

I find it fascinating that no one thought a show gathering a group of millionaires together wouldn’t have one or two dangerous sociopaths in the bunch.
The Ron Davis case is even more frustrating when you consider what he did to his own lawyer: that lawyer quit in 2002 after she revealed to the courts that she was specifically instructed to lie about "cooperating" with the case investigation (for example, he instructed the lawyer to say his missing wife was on "mind altering drugs", and Ron even demanded to know what the questions of the polygraph lie detector test were in advance). Ron Davis then tried to sue her for a refund, but the court thankfully was on the side of his former lawyer and awarded her damages in 2003.
Unsolved Mysteries not airing the episode because a random citizen/family member asked them not to air it and they just say, “sure thing, pal” seems very odd.
Not very odd at all, most producers wouldn't want to risk getting lawsuits from family members due to airing sensitive content about their loved ones. Like Jorge said, if the show paints the husband as the killer, he can potentially sue the show for airing the episode without his approval. Even though he seems suspicious af, he still wasn't convicted yet which would give him the chance to sue them for defamation.
I just don't really care I always skip sponsorship segments and anyone dumb enough to buy £50 cereal or get counseling from some unknown faceless entity and pay for it gets what they get
@@GrandDawggy it's still fucky for a trusted youtuber to advertise a service under the false assumption that it can help mentally ill people when we already know it doesn't help, and that the mentally ill are an especially vulnerable population

I remember watching Megan Wants a Millionare (it was on a Sunday night) because I was hooked on those VH1 shows and then waking up the _next morning_ to the news of what happened, it felt so unreal. Like it took me a solid few minutes after the newsreport to accept it because I literally just watched the show. What happened was horrible and I think it was the end to shows like that especially for that network.
I remember the I love money show. It was actually a huge hit at that time. I was bummed they never aired season 3 but completely understand why. Jenkins didn’t only kill Jasmine Fiore, he killed VH1 because they never recovered.
Yeah there's been a few rumors going about but it's difficult to find out the truth when they're a well known sponsor. I mean, the company behind Hello Fresh and Factor had some legal troubles a while ago but they were able to sweep it under the rug pretty easily.
@@ErixSummerdown-cr1ks it isn't even like betterhelp "isn't great" with customer data, they straight up sell it www.ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2023/07/ftc-gives-final-approval-order-banning-betterhelp-sharing-sensitive-health-data-advertising
The fact that anyone puts any stock in polygraph tests is beyond me. Had an ex who loved trash tv like the Steve Wilkos show, and she would always make a prediction over what the results would say. But I ruined it for her when I mentioned that those tests are just as indicative of the truth as her guess was 😂 I'm surprised no one on the show ever brings that up
Right like how can at this point anyone think it’s a good idea to say yea to a poly. No matter the results they’re gonna say you failed if they think you did it. Just to manipulate you.
People who endorse this message include: The inventor of the polygraph, who basically spent the rest of his life railing against people who use his invention as a lie detector because it doesn’t fucking do that
They only serve to assist with the police/ judicial system's agenda, as they are completely pseudoscientific gobbledegook and act more as a litmus test, allowing the government to observe how the suspect responds to either the ''exam'' itself or whether you'll even agree to take the damb thing

Why not just air the episode of Sharon Eugenia Davis going missing if they suspect that Ron is possibly involved? I mean, a woman's missing and someone could know something.
@@winged_cat_4571 - Screams more of him being guilty. He likely got scared that if it aired some kind of evidence would be found to convict him which shows how little confidence he has in getting away with it. Though tbh given that Unsolved Mysteries has solved many missing person cases like hers, it does also make sense why he be worried about that happening.
**Sharon Eugenia Davis, lol not sure where 𝘞𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢 came from! But yeah, I agree. If that was the case, couldn’t every killer simply request the episode not air. But I’ve theorized that since he hasn’t really spoken to police, he’s technically not a suspect, and legally being her husband at the time of her “disappearance” he’s a right to afford her privacy. As long as he’s living, it will prolly remain this way, unfortunately.
@robinmcinarnay7827 I think my comment got reported because I just got a pop up about a comment I made being removed. I should get people's names right.
I have no idea if Ron did it or not, but you should never talk to the police without a lawyer. Never let them search your house without a warrant. Polygraphs should be avoided. The guy shouldn't be shamed for this. But again, if he did it, he should rot.
I’ll never judge any man, woman, or child that won’t talk to police without an attorney present. Ever. You don’t need a reason to not trust law enforcement.
But he had plenty of opportunity to hire a lawyer to be present during interrogation but he never did. I think lawyers assisting in interrogation is a pretty inexpensive legal task and some may even do it pro bono. Besides, if he has a cash stash in his house he's probably wealthy enough to hire a lawyer.
i think by now everyone knows that. It's obvious by the thousands of the same repeated comment on every crime video. Only a moron would talk to police without a lawyer.
Regarding Bullseye, the episode itself helped convict Cooper. After assessing the episode, investigators matched a still of Cooper with a sketch of a man wanted in connection to the murders. They were almost a perfect match.
Good video as always Jorge, but the sponsorship soured the whole thing and I couldn't enjoy it as much after that. BetterHelp is shady af and I genuinely hope you can work with a different sponsor in future videos.

There is an episode of Donal MacIntyre Unsolved that was never aired about the disappearance of Amy Fitzpatrick. Her mother blocked the studio from airing it even though you would think she'd want attention brought to her daughters disappearance. Before she vanished Amy said she was afraid of her step father and didn't like him. A few years after Amy vanished her step father murdered her brother. Their mother stayed with the step father.
It's kind of a crazy, arrogant thing to say though. If you believe in the spirit realm, he was just asking for it from some troll from beyond "wouldn't it be funny if I just made him die because he said that?" Best sick joke this side of eternity.
If you guys are wondering why he’s ignoring comments regarding BetterHelp, I’m willing to bet he signed an NDA. I’m sure he’s well aware by now of the outrage, although it’s still immensely disappointing he took up the sponsorship with all that’s already been widely publicized ☹️
Hey Jorge, I absolutely adore your content and watch every new video, but I have to point this out. From what I've heard betterhelp is extremely sketchy... Please don't take sponsorships from them in the future, and if you can edit or replace the pinned comment to say that you were wrong here.
"Better Help" should be called "Kinda Okay Help if you don't actually have a mental illness and just want to talk privately with a random unqualified person."
I know it may seem odd to comment on your sponsor, but I am genuinely confused. Can someone please inform me of what's going on? The last time I heard, someone had found evidence that better health was a scam. Is that just fake news, or is there more going on?
Betterhelp is supposed to be counselling over video chat and message, you pay them and they hook you up with a counsellor. In actuality it's overpriced for what it is, there's a general attitude of unprofessionalism and in some cases unqualified people posing as therapists, and selling your information to third parties. It's technically not a full scam, it does attempt to deliver something, it's just what it delivers is atrocious quality. Betterhelp also sponsor a bunch of random mental health articles on the Internet by various outlets and the information in the articles is misleading or sugarcoated or just downright patronizing. There's a UA-camr who is a practicing and licensed therapist who has made a few videos on betterhelps misdeeds, highly recommend!
The actual website sells the info to 3rd parties. Also don’t forget about how they’re threatening lawsuits to people to talk badly about their wrongdoings. Oh and most of the people on the website itself are random people with no knowledge on how to actually do the ‘job’ they are hired to do.
"I've never felt better in my life!" - guy who then immediately dies. This is actually pretty common though. He said he had just fell down a flight of stairs - came out of it feeling better? I can't be sure the guy had organ damage, but people who are dying of multi organ failure sometimes actually feel better. People who are dying may sometimes feel absolutely amazing, and it's because the organs that were troubling them have stopped troubling them. They've stopped everything- because they've failed. I do wonder if he was already dying and that's why he felt so amazing he thought for sure he'd live to 100. Even if not the case with him specifically, it's commonly reported in terminal patients in the weeks, days or hours leading up to their deaths.
Likewise people who burn to death, and people who freeze to death, after a certain point the nerves just stop working so you don't feel it anymore which is good- but unfortunately it means people who still could be saved may mistakenly think 'ah i feel better, now i can rest' and stop fighting or in paradoxical undress, people freezing can even think they're overheating and start undressing in freezing temperatures, the nerves just aren't sending the right signals anymore.
I mean like. I'm not familiar with sponsorship contracts but what if just dropping it is a legal thing? I mean oddly enough given past video topics... I'm reminded of the iCarly episode with the techfoot shoes... That said everyone going "that's a scam" isn't helping as much as they think? I got scammed by one of the very few therapists in my area that wasn't advertising "christian mental health services", and that was after the previous psych i saw dropped all patients suddenly and just. Up and left. Found out later that guy was straight up prescribing meds he should have known would mess up multiple people. "This therapist is a scammer" ok? And people aren't going to like... warn that there are offline therapists that will often do the same? I mean at least an app isn't gonna send actual collections agencies on you that later take the therapist to court, but yeesh. Still damaging to mental health. There are absolutely way too many people who prey on people with mental health issues. It sucks that they turn to the internet to draw people in, and it sucks that they'll do things like making patients work unpaid as "treatment". If you want a really weird rabbithole about online therapy scams... 'sixpenceee' heals, or however you spell the username. Tumblr user offered therapy sessions. Not licensed at all. Made money off of "scary asylum psychopath" "fiction" and had absolutely no way to guarantee she wasn't going to turn people's actual problems into clickbait. And that's only the therapy part of the mess.
BetterHelp is 50/50 tbh, it's not all bad, some people claim it saved their lives, but other people claim that their therapists were extremely unprofessional and rude. I wouldn't call it a full on scam cause it HAS helped people, it's just not the best choice when it comes to online therapy.
There's ZERO evidence it's a scam.....ZERO...saying it is, simply because some people have had a bad experience is like accepting an Alex Jones conspiracy theory as fact
Please do not endorse Better Help. There is more than enough info on how awful their company is. I understand you need to make money but honestly I'm disappointed.
It's jarring when you see both sides of someone like John Cooper. On one hand, you see a man who has some level of charisma, but on the other, he's a wicked man who denies his wrongs.
Well- I have to say, "Your breast implant can help ID you in the case you're murdered" is a selling point that i never expected to hear, but here we all.
Man, why is Ron so insistent on being so uncooperative? Like, either he murdered Sharon, or he knows who murdered Sharon, but the murderer has threatened to kill him as well if he says anything. Whatever it is, without a time machine or mind reader, we'll never know why
Really disappointed with the better help ad, I understand you probably have bills to pay but I’ve met and seen so many people completely let down by better help and their subpar service, it’s extremely disheartening to see so many creators I respect and admire endorsing them
Don't sponsor BetterHelp, that's messed up. You can't make a video on disturbing media and also sponsor BetterHelp. You can't have your cake and eat it too
id like to think youtubers that sponsor betterhelp are aware their audience is smart enough to not actually sign up for it, but even then it sucks to see it be sponsored at any given moment
There a great documentary about how the police investigated and eventually caught John Cooper. The documentary was filmed at the same time they were trying to catch him, so you have footage of the police investigation. It's really interesting and John Cooper is a particularly twisted monster.
Indeed he is. The Pembrokeshire Murders was a very interesting series they made later on that dramatised John Cooper’s whole saga; it’s a shame the Lost Media Wiki page doesn’t mention it.
I remembered hearing Vaughn Meader from Mo Rocca's podcast. The story of how he lost everything and his career because of the untimely death of JFK is a fascinating story.
It's a little concerning that Jorge's taken a better help sponsor deal despite them being well known scumbags. I was hoping Jorge just didn't know but he's hearting comments from the same timeframe as the comments that are pointing out it's a scam. This isn't just being ignorant he's just blatantly not caring he's promoting a scam to his audience.
Thats how a contract works, breach it and Jorge gets in hot water that will only get worse. If anything him not deleting comments just makes it clearly known not to buy it, and if you still do at that point, that's tough.
There is ZERO evidence it's a scam.....where's the evidence it's a scam? PROVE it's a scam.....show the independent studies and/or surveys that show it's a scam......if you can't do that, then go watch Alex Jones, because that's where you're better off at.....
If reality TV shows have to vet their contestants for potential murderers then UA-camrs can take a few hours to vet their sponsors for scams. There's no excuse for you not doing your *own* due diligence.
I'm not entirely aware of how does police work over there but... shouldn't cases like those of Sharon Davis be bruteforced by the investigators? Like, if you're a suspect you can't just say "Nah fam I won't help"?
I love how jorge is ignoring every single comment about betterhelp, but is still hearting comments that don't mention it. Money sure helps ya sleep, don't it jorgey boy?
everyone's talking about betterhelp but nobody's talking about the fact that most of this is straight up just a true crime video in disguise (as if nexpo's """lost media""" videos weren't bad enough)

No one should ever agree to a polygraph test under any circumstances. Ever.

I have no idea if Ron did it or not, but you should never talk to the police without a lawyer. Never let them search your house without a warrant. Polygraphs should be avoided. The guy shouldn't be shamed for this. But again, if he did it, he should rot.
That's why Jorge describe him as the most seemingly-guilty not-guilty person.

Its scam status is questionable, but BetterHelp is known to pay their therapists very little, and many of them are unlicensed
It's basically a scam therapy company that sells your mental health info to corporations and hires unprofessional therapists who give awful advice
The actual website sells the info to 3rd parties. Also don’t forget about how they’re threatening lawsuits to people to talk badly about their wrongdoings.
Oh and most of the people on the website itself are random people with no knowledge on how to actually do the ‘job’ they are hired to do.
Is Jorge out of the loop about Betterhelp? Or does he just want money by any means necessary?
If its the latter, for shame, sir.

@@jeffs1571That might be possible
Likewise people who burn to death, and people who freeze to death, after a certain point the nerves just stop working so you don't feel it anymore which is good- but unfortunately it means people who still could be saved may mistakenly think 'ah i feel better, now i can rest' and stop fighting
or in paradoxical undress, people freezing can even think they're overheating and start undressing in freezing temperatures, the nerves just aren't sending the right signals anymore.
