Sure! It's just the way you look at it. Chops are also just blocks or groupings.... It's all the same, I like to call it different because chops has this certain 'stylistic trade' to it. And I want to share that these are not just chops, but very useful as fills and vocabulary in general! For me, that's what this is about. Creating a universal language for drummers to build more freedom.
Awesome stuff! I took some screenshots to practice these blocks around the kit. I’ve also been working on 16th note triplet variations on the snare/practice pad/around the toms…I have come up with some cool stuff and brought it up to speed. I’m looking forward to your next video on integrating the bass into these!
