Appreciate it! Thanks
Awesome lesson dude. Will give this one a go later on! Nice one 👌
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it 👌🏻
Great video! Straight and to the point. Super effective. 👌
Thanks Victor! Appreciate it! I like to keep things straight & to the point! Have fun with it!
Thanks for helping me add this to my tool bag.
Super welcome! Thanks for watching
I've been pounding away on the drums for several months now and I still haven't tried learning any rudiments yet.
Give them a try!! The rudiments are the language of drumming, if you master those, you can play anything! With the right tools, it gets A LOT of fun to practice your rudiments ;)
Good stuff mate !
Thank you! Really appreciate you watching and letting me know!
Good one! More practice material.
Thanks! Appreciate you reaching out! Have fun with it and let me know if there is anything I can help with!
There's a problem on the video with editing. The idea 5+5+5+1 is played briefly at 60bpm and then it jumps at 100npm abruptly. Just saying
He thanks for your reply! This is not a mistake, it was purposely edited like this. My apologies if that isnt clear I like quick and efficient videos. I dont wanna spend 2 minutes repeating the same bpm, i just want to give you the idea and you can playback as often as you like! But I’ll make the videos a little longer if that has your preference! Duely noted and your feedback is much appreciated!
Longer videos are not my preference. The editing is a little bit weird, that's it. If you did that on purpose, fine. Thanks for your reply
Thank you for this tutorial! Gave me some great ideas to work on :)
One of my favorite things- odd number patterns over 1/16ths… I love doing KLRRL over 2 bars… sped up with accents it sounds way more complicated than it is. Thx for the video
Awesome to hear!! I have never tried that particular pattern, thanks for sharing! Yeah plauing with dynamics IN the grouping and changing the accents in every grouping is AMAZING, have you tried that?? So much possibilities right!! Happy it inspired you!!
Moving from one pattern to the next can't be easy, nice one!
Appreciate your reply!! You can too!! Its just practice, mastering the basics ;)
That fourth one 😅is my brain destroyer
Haha yeah its a tricky one right?! Just play it slow and controlled and relaxed for some time and it will come!! Promise ;)
This is why I was never meant to be a musician. I can't really hear the difference. The first three sound the same and the last one a little different. Glad there are people that can though.
Takes time for sure to get used to hearing the patterns! I have an online course that is exactly about helping you with hearing this melodies. Hit me up if you are interested, happy to help!
My drum teacher back in the days showed me a few paradiddles but never tought me to apply effectively on the kit. Thank you for this !! Like given and Subscribed !!
Thank you so much! That is GREAT to hear! This is exactly what I want people to support with!! Paradiddles ARE what you play and all you need to develop yourself as an amazing drummer! I have an online course about EXACTLY this, you can find it here: zencaravan.thinkific.com/pages/paradiddle-blueprint-online-course
Raise the dB on your audio. Your video is excessively quiet. But still good info, thumbs up.
Appreciate you letting me know!! UA-cam compresses more than I thought! Will keep it in mind for the next one!
That's right man! Slim Jim phantom from stray cats signed my drum head and sticks and said the pair of diddles is what ya need.
Thanks appreciate it!! It all comes down to singles, doubles & paradiddles!
thanks!
Really interesting video! I'll be messing about with these rhythms for sure
Thanks! Appreciate it! If you wanna know more on the how, find my FREE PARADIDDLE GROOVE GUIDE here tr.ee/WFikvU_tHV
Zomaar ineens Eddie in je voorgestelde shorts! Keep it up!
Nice
I would like to buy such an instrument, but I am a complete beginner. I want to use it mainly by hand, not with a racket. How hard do you have to hit your hand to make it sound? Does your voice sound good? Can the smaller tongues be sounded by hand or only with a mallet? I've only listened to UA-cam videos so far, which I think are mixed. Thanks for the help.
It is less about hitting hard than developping a certain feeling ... :-)
So muss es sein. Lg. Marcel
Thank you so much!!!
By far the best cap you could ever wear... For that, I will follow.
Awesome! Such a beautiful instrument. I tested one few months ago. What brand is this? Nice groove!
Thanks!! Good to hear. This is a Godan Handpan, a guy from The Netherlands! Check him out on godan.nl !! Cheers man
Funky.
Helmar Weiss thanks!
nice pattern. Will have to go back to practicing paradiddles
Thanks man!! Yeah paradiddles are EVERYWHERE man!!
i hear the repeated low handpan D note which is supposed to co-respond to the throat chakra, is that correct?
You heard the note correct! But according to the indian knowledge I have studied, the G note corresponds to the throat chakra!
Nice combination~ i always hear this chant at bhajan sessions since i was a kid.
Nice man!
Nice.
Helmar Weiss thanks man!!
Yes yes!
Hate seein talented drummers like yourself with fuckall subs and scumbags who disgrace the instrument doin so well, keep it up man that's top notch
Sweeeeet, hi from Brazil...🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
so it's like you're counting the beats by 6/8, but the pattern is 5 notes based so it goes like 5-5-5-5-4(total 24)notes... did I understand right? anyways wonderful drumming and video works... thx
He man, You did not understand it so well, let me try again: I play the fill in sextuplets, this has noting to do with a 6/8 time signature!! Playing in sextuplets means i play 6 notes per count; so in 4/4 time signature that adds up to 24 notes( 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 24) The lick is in 5, so the fill is 5-5-5-5-4 indeed! But still in sextuplets, not in 6/8 Hope i made that clear for you :) Thanks for watching man!
oh so its 6notes per every 4/4count got it... thank you so much XD
By far the coolest sextuplet example i've seen.too often drummers on youtube fail to portray their subject musically, this video manages to do so quite well. It's the kind of fill that if you hear in a live setting you fight your way through a crowd to see the drummer pull it off.very well done!
ric g thank you so much! Great to hear!
whats the sticking ?
Check out my previous drumfill video: Advanced Sextuplet fill. It is exactly the same fill but than played in sextuplets!! You can find the sticking in there :) Thanks for watching
+Michael Fallis yeah indeed!! But you improvise with the whole fill of course! You can also move the flam where ever you want :) I am flattered by that request!! Would love to do a skype lessons! Find me On facebook, thats easier to communicate!
Sounds awesome!
hé, Streetbeat 2.0!
Awsome!!!
+Sean Thompson Thanks Sean, preciate it!
Love the fill at about the 1:12 mark
+flamacue9972 Thanks man! It is a group of 9 in sextuplets!
"Less" cowbell?
+Ryan Farrell Unfortunately the cowbell is a part of the track. I could not do anything about it!
+Eddie van dongen Good shit though....
Thanks man!
nice cover!
Hi! I love your videos. I'm having some issues feeling the triplet or sixteenth nite triplets. What's a good way to practice this so that I can feel it naturally?!
+Adam Blister I will make a video about this topic! Very VERY good question! Sorry for the late reply!
+Eddie van dongen Thanks so much!! That would sooooo help
nice vid. Not too much talking - a humble sharing of the info. Best to you!
