🍃 Cosying Up on a Rainy Day | Salmon with Sesame Noodles 🍜 Vlogtober Day

• Dan's salmon and noodles recipe:
Mix 4tbsp sesame oil (toasted if you can get it!) with 2tbsp of runny honey and 2 tbsp soy sauce. Reserve some of the marinade as a dressing for the noodles, then place 2 salmon fillets in the remaining marinade for a least one hour.
Remove salmon from marinade and cook on a baking tray at 200c for 8 minutes (or until lightly cooked), at the same time steam broccoli florets until cooked (approx 8 mins) and cook some medium egg noodles.
Drain noodles, return to pan and mix in reserved marinade, heat on low for a minute.
Serve noodles with broccoli and salmon on top (remove the skin!), pouring any remaining marinade from the salmon baking tray over the top. Yum!

I have a Amineko Crocheted Cat that I made years ago. It's black and white and I love it. I also made a larger one for my sisters daughters' daughter in white after my lovely cat Sugar who was white with blue eyes. As you can see in my icon picture.
Sometime just being at home with the family doing simple little life bits is a remedy in itself!

I have finally caught up with Vlogtober! I'm enjoying it so much! I wasn't able to watch at the beginning of the month because my husband and I were doing our first ever vacation to the UK. We spent 4.5 days in London and 3.5 days in Edinburgh along with a bus trip to the Scottish Highlands. I definitely thought of you and your family holiday when we visited Loch Ness. Nessie was shy and didn't come out for a visit. Can't imagine why! We enjoyed it so much. Looking forward to the last of Vlogtober. I am so intrigued by the crocheted socks. Lovely!

I just caught up after being away for a few days. I hope you and yours feel better. Tomorrow (Oct 20) my sister and I fly from our home city of Portland, Oregon to Cusco, Perú. We will arrive the morning of the 21st. We are going to spend a week on a fiber retreat, learning to weave, dye and use a drop spindle from the indigenous Quechua women. We lived in Lima, Perú 1968-1971 and are so excited to return. I was last in Cusco in 1970 when I was 14.

I was up last night with my back I have a cyst on my spine and every now and then it flares up and sits on my nerve. So today has been filled with pain killers a hot bath and a lot of tea !! Hope you're feeling better x

Just when you said 'tea is the aswner' at the beginning of the vlog, I looked up because it sounded familiar: on the wall behind my laptop I've got a tiny business card with that same message :D it was given to me at a crafts fair in London back in 2015. Ali, do you think your cough is connected to reflux? I used to have a very bad cough until I started Lansaprazole. You can by Emeprazole at the supermarket now - similar medication. Perhaps try it and see if your cough disappears. xx
