      Here's actual Trumpist comment :
"Here are some facts. Under Trump.... record high stock market numbers, lowest unemployment rate in 50 years, 2.53% GDP since Trump took office, USMCA passed, and the Leader of ISIS dead. Tax cuts provided relief for the middle class. Supreme Court ruled the travel ban constitutional and that the Wall can be built using Defense funds. 7 million jobs added! Russian collusion didnt work, Ukraine didnt work, Stormy didnt work, and impeachment failed. Keep hating, Trump keeps winning. "

Since FDR and the New Deal, our Democracy began to imply that we help each other pull ourselves out of a troubling national situation, by voting on laws that are inclusive in their positive effect. Greed has overrun that philosophy with the insidious promotion of Nationalist Capitalism and the propaganda around "Success" and self-determination. When the facts are that Federally funded programs such as Head Start and SNAP begin the building of skills and educational success that make adult success and self-determination within a Democratic society possible. But of course, the ruling class in the U.S. wants a return to ignorance and child labor

Universal healtcare works in other countries, because your employer is expected to pay a part of it, usually half of what you'd have to pay. And since entrepreneurs are self employed, they'd have to pay the full price for themselves while at the same time having to pay half of their employees healthcare costs. But since most people are not entrepreneurs but working class people, they should all rally to get universal healthcare. However, it's excactly those working class people who already have healtcare benefits from their companies who do not wish for universal healthcare, as for them it wouldn't change much, all they worry about is that they'd have to pay more to finance the healtcare of someone less fortunate. People are in general selfish aholes.

Fortunately, she is fine, she had a 90% clogged artery that was fixed with a stent, a common procedure that she was awake for and after three days of evaluation in ICU she was released. Since then her energy, color, and mood have been like a whole new person.
Point is she could've died, and it didn't have to get to that point, how anyone can argue Healthcare isn't a human right is beyond me. So True, universal healthcare shoulf be a right for every American. The Constitution even states, "promote the general Welfare," meaning the health, happiness, & fortunes of a person or group, in the simplest of terms. Even having health insurance in the US doesn't guarantee people receive the care they require. Many cannot afford the co-pays, and the denial rates are unbelievable. Even if it were the best healthcare, it is worthless when people cannot access it. For profit healthcare should be a huge flashing redlight in itself.
As a person with universal healthcare, looking at the US, it amazes me that so many cannaot see how the lack of healthcare oppresses the citizenry of the US. One can be stuck in a lousy or deadend job just to maintain its benefits. Illness, accidents, or injury are unpredictable, and certainly not the time to engage in comparison shopping, nor can one predict what the cost will be beforehand leaving citizens at the mercy of the insurance companies.
Trump's administration has been in court for the past 3 years fighting to end Obamacare, and isn't stopping until the ACA is gone. The ACA that protected pre-existing conditions coverage could be gone at any moment, and those that need healthcare the most will suffer. Insurance premiums have increased faster with the removal of the individual mandate. The destruction of a standard insurance plan with specified coverages has also led to increased premiums.
How can a people have true liberty, when their health and well-being is not promoted by the very government that protects the very means that harm them.

The moment Sanders gets elected, the stock market will have its crash, because neo-liberals will go nuclear when a "socialist" becomes president. Trumps shitty policies will finally show effect and ruin the US. Sanders will not be able to pass any of his policies with the Reps blocking him and the center dems not supporting him. The people will blame Sanders for ruining the economy. People will turn their backs on Sanders because he won't be able to deliver any of his promises. You'll be hearing lots of things like "Thanks Sanders", similar to "thanks Obama". In the midterm elections, dems will lose. And after 4 years Sanders will lose (assuming he feels healthy enough to keep running) and it's not very unlikely that the Reps will give us a future president who is even worse than Trump, because their barrel has no bottom. To prevent this from happening, young liberal people need to be motivated and keep their motivation to vote Dem (Doesn't have to be Sanders, just not Reps) forever, never missing ANY future elections. You'll have to endure and hope that change happens gradually over time, and not become disillusioned when Sanders doesn't magically turn the US to a better place the moment he is elected. The most important part is that we cannot allow the Republicans to gain power ever again.

Rob, in answer to your question, how do we bring people together... We don't mention class, race, gender, sex, political affiliation and etc... When we do that, we often turn people off before they even get the chance to listen to us. We talk to people's "heart and mind" with truth. In the military, we stressed that we all bled red. This helped us put our biases and prejudices aside, our survival depended on it. We need to understand that we should be in survival mode now. Bottom line, we are more alike than different! We need to continue to fight for the 95% and stop emphasizing political party, race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion and other factors used to identify/categorize people. We are all on the same team. We all strive and deserve a decent chance at life. As the cliche goes, "United we stand/divided we fall." What unites us is isn't party and all the other boxes people try to put us into. It's bigger! We're all people and deserve decency and respect. I can't tell you how much disrespect there is between different groups because we are forced to choose a team. We're on the same team! My team is human decency. The rich 1% drown out our cries for human decency with their money and political favors. This will only get better when money and crooked politicians (both Republicans, Democrats and others) are removed from politics. Media is undermining the only true champion of the people because they are handsomely paid off by the 1%. I'm not on team Democrat. I'm not on team Republican. I'm not on team Conservative. I'm not on team liberal. I am on team America! I am on team human decency. I beg others to think twice about their affiliation and join the greatest team, Team USA. Stop the infighting and disrespect across political/social factions. We're American! Let's not bring shame to ourselves. Let's do what is good for the country and not the millionaires. I don't have an issue with rich people. I have an issue with the way they have cheated/corrupted the game. Dog fighting is illegal. Why? Because dog owners make money at the expense (death/torture) of an innocent dog. We are the dogs trained to fight. The millionaires are the dog trainers. They should be in jail and not celebrated or respected. What they do is cynical and treacherous. They pit us against one another while they cash out. Please wake up!!! Like common sense, it isn't as common as one would like it to be.
Also, you got to consider that even if those people grasp those facts, their interpretation is based on personal values. And rightwingers are rightwingers, because they are on the sociopathic spectrum. To those people empathy for others means nothing.
If I were the strongest human on the planet by far, I could just rule the world by force and get all I want. But if I played along, I'd have to share things. Selfish people do not want to share things, they especially do not want to share things equally. If they are already in possesion of things, they'll do anything in their power not to have to share it, and even if they want to share, most will only share a fraction of it, often only to ease or silence their guilty conscience. But if I am weak and most likely to be crushed in such a world, it would be better for me to change the world so that I get something out of it, that people who are stronger than me, will give me something so I can at least survive. Even if I were a psycopath who'd rather rule alone if he had power, as the powerless loser I am, I'd try and get my fair share. Problem is, that many people are so selfish that they want those more powerful to help them, but only them, while they still want to be able to push down those beneath them. They think by crawling to the bigwigs and bullying the underlings they are some big shots closer to the bigwigs than the underlings. Instead of wanting to create a society were everyone is equal, they are looking for hierarchies. And for many it is good enough to have a spot that isn't at the very bottom, and important not to drop any further. Many people truly feel the need to have someone beneath them to feel better about themselves. What they don't like is if someone who isn't like them is in a higher position in the hierarchy.

Each one influencing the world as much as they could and we're now reaching a critical mass, where there's enough noise coming from the young that also resonates with the older ones, who weren't heard when they were young.
None of them could do it alone. Generations of young people have been demonstrating the same things. Just that there seem to be enough people in all age-groups now, that we have a chance to do something about it. (Having the internet, which was based on freedom and no government control, might have played a role too.)
But never the less, it's overdue.

With the bottom 80% holding only 5.5% of all global wealth, stagnation is either already here or will set in for all global economies. If I hear one more trumper say " If you think minimum wage is too low, get some skills and get a better paying job" I'm gonna scream. When I was a kid, work was 40 hours a week and you could live on your pay. With automation and increased productivity it was theorized that someday we'd only have to work half that many hours and have more leisure time to enjoy ourselves or to work on our personal goals.
Well, productivity went way up. But so did our work time. And we have trouble keeping a home and other basics. The only answer is, THE INCREASED VALUE OF PRODUCTION IS BEING TAKEN, ALL OF IT AND MORE by the owner class. Money buys more money, all legally of course.

You can explain it to them a million time and they'll still pretend like they don't understand. Truth is that most of them simply don't care. They already have it, so why should the government waste time to make it better for someone else? The ones who don't have to worry are usually the ones most opposed to it. They need the losers who make less money than them to feel superior. You could be helping orphaned children and they could be selling sex toys, they'd be convinced to be of more importance to society just because they make more money than you. At the same time they'll bitch that those people who earn so little will be on well-fare and get food stamps payed by their tax money. But that won't stop them to praise the companies who make fortunes by exploiting their workforce and while doing so having their employees subsidized by tax money. Those sociopathic idiots suffer from sort of cognitive dissonance.
It didn't even have to be automation, the moment women got to the workforce, working hours should have been halved. But too many women were looking for a career and worked as long as the men, who in return didn't work less but often more instead, to make even more money than the women. And the work ethics of many people have left us with companies expecting us to make overtime without pay.
They'll also tell you to open up a business like they did, perhaps a restaurant. But how would they like it if everybody opened up a restaurant in their road, they'd have to share the customers, it's not like people get more appetite the more restaurants open up. Their employees would also leave for a better job, as these assholes don't like to pay a living wage. After all, it's one of their own suggestions. They'll never think things through, they don't want to understand that there can only be that many companies. Who is to compete with Amazon nowadays? Also, compnies need workers, not everybody can become a CEO. They seem to think the pyramid is upside down.

What we have in my particular situation is greedy executives and private Capital investors who are intent on chopping away at the workers compensation packages so they can gain large quarterly earnings. I fear for the future. All this talk lately about worker efficiency and it’s effect on the economy has bothered me for at least twenty years. During the 80’s any discussion of the economy centered on the stock marked while the average man began to feel the pinch and fall behind. It was around then, with hostile takeovers and such, the efficiency became a goal of corporations and the government. As worker efficiency got better, less workers were needed. During this same time automation began to spread into areas that were unthinkable in the 1960’s. My question has been for a long while, what happens when efficiency reaches 80 or 90 percent.
The corporations will make their profits but what if the people?

I am concerned that although the economy might look good superficially, it may be running thin.
I don't want to be an alarmist here, but what resilience does our economy have? For example , the corona virus: factories in China shut down due to quarantine, supply for parts and products is cut; availability for production or purchase is reduced; economy takes a hit. How much of a hit can the economy take? Other problems could arise: natural disasters, bank fraud or stock manipulation in the shadow of deregulation or non-enforcement, some foreign catastrophe, etc. I'm not predicting gloom and doom, but I do say that a sound economy needs to be strong enough to withstand some negative impact. I am not confident that our current economy has that depth.

Exactly. People after hopefully voting Sanders into power, need to keep the progressive in power, so that their policies can come into effect eventually. I predict that the moment Sanders become president, the neoliberals will have a meltdown, which will finally lead for the stock market to crash, and Trumps shitty policies will finally show their effect and hurt the US and global economy. When that happens, people will blame Sanders for it. With your rightwing media, many people will buy into it. Sanders will most likely not be able to pass any of his social policies, if he can then only very watered down versions of it, because the Reps will totally block him and the center dems won't support him. The fact that Sanders won't magically make the US into a better place on day 1, might turn off many idiots. We can only hope that Sanders will mobilize the youth this time, however, even if he manages that, the youth might get disillusioned with Sanders and become lazy once more in the Midterms, and future presidential elections.
It won't happen over night, it will actually be a shitty ride, as he'll have to clean up behind Trump first. What's important is that the youth and liberal non-voters have to grasp that their vote counts (especially when they are in red and purple states). And that everything hinges on them. They need to keep voting for him, even if we enter a new recession, or worse. The house, the senate and the judges need to be gradually turned blue. Otherwise, you can forget it.

No salesperson tells a potential customer "why they are wrong", because it immediately turns people off. It is better to mention a few platform issues (lead in), then ask people what issues concern them (get them thinking about what you just told them). Many will choose one of the issues you mentioned, simply because they cannot think of another issue off-hand. Then you tell them how your candidate plans to address that issue (sell your candidate). Having been listened to and offered a candidate with solutions to issues important to them, the "customer" is left with a warm feeling of satisfaction, and is much more likely to consider voting for your candidate.
It doesn't make a lot of sense for campaign people to waste time trying to convince Trump supporters when there is a huge pool of non-voters who are not entrenched in a political ideology or tribally (irrationally) loyal to the Republican party; They're not worth your time.

I am a proponent of "trickle up economics", the practice of the lower income becoming the benefactors of higher wages while the higher incomes remain at course. When a person that is low or even middle income is earning more money they are most likely to use that money to support their community, to create reason for more need for workers in other positions. Take a fast food worker making $7.25/ hr newly earning $9.25/hr, their new purchase power has increased many time over dollar for dollar because they will use that $2 every hour to buy needed items like food, clothes, a car, to pay bills, and to go out for meals and movies because they are not as worried about paying bills with the few dollars they have. If you give that same amount to a wealthy person they will lock it away in a bank or stocks and benefits only them.
Yes increasing the minimum wage would possibly encourage corporations to automate and outsource but if the laws were written to ensure that those things could not happen the result would be a boon for the wage workers. I do not advocate a $40,000/year salary for working at a fast food joint but we do need to raise the minimum wage by at least $2/ hr. I would also say to end the "tipped" jobs that pay $2.13/hr and just give them a livable wage and end tipping.

Robert, I believe one point that is often missed in the debate on raising the Minimum Wage is that high wages can incentivize productivity improvements. Productivity improvements necessarily involve the elimination of jobs but if we required paid time off to be mandatory and it increased along with improvements in productivity, we would see a huge increase in the quality of life across the board.
