I have PCOS as well and am currently going through infertility treatments. I appreciate you sharing your journey with us and I will send good vibes your way 💜
I have endo so solidarity in all the cyst bullshit ♡ but I feel like there's nothing better than having your concerns confirmed and having a doc who listens
My husband and I have been TTC for 4 years. We had a consultation last month at a fertility clinic! About to have the HSG test done and sort of nervous😅 Thank you for sharing your journey! It’s nice hearing other people’s thoughts/feelings! Best of luck and lots of baby dust your guys’ way❤
As the person who performs blood draws, it's totally normal to be scared. Drink lots of water a couple hours before you come in. 30 minutes before you come in, you can use a numbing cream on the inside of elbow. You can request a chair that leans back in case you were to pass out. And don't worry if you pass out, throw up or cry, lots of people do You're not alone and it's not embarrassing. They should also have juice, ice packs and hot packs available. Should you not feel well.
As someone with severe chronic illness yes it’s so nice to get an answer and a diagnosis because we already know we are sick in some way, putting a label on it means we can finally start fighting it however we possibly can and it brings a lot of us so much peace of mind to finally know what it is we’ve been dealing with for months to years. I knew every illness I had before I was diagnosed except lupus, that was a little surprise for me lol but it’s so nice to know your body and keep track of your symptoms, that has helped me a lot! ❤❤
@@chandlerainsleyWhen I tell you I’m gonna be elbows out fighting to be first in line for that merch. I absolutely want bitch embroidered across thine chest 💅🏼
Sending lots of love on the fertility journey. I’m a phlebotomist so I recommend letting your phleb know that it’s your first blood draw. When patients tell me that I make sure to walk them through the process so there are no surprises. Make sure to drink lots of water, the more hydrated you are the more your veins pop up. If you’re feeling really anxious ask them if you can lie down for your draw. I’m a fainter when I get my blood drawn so I always do that as a precaution and it keeps me from going down. Most importantly get yourself a treat afterwards cause blood draws are no fun!
I also have PCOS. It is quite the roller coaster. I’m so glad you were able to be diagnosed as it can be very difficult for some women. Thanks for sharing your journey. Much love from a fellow cyster 🥰😘
I’m 18 and was diagnosed with PCOS at 16 so this is so comforting to know I’m not the only one. I definitely won’t have babies anytime soon but still in the future yk
I’m super excited for your merch! I am not usually big of merch, but with how you’ve been talking about your design process, it sounds like it’s gonna be exactly up my alley too! Edit: OMG looooove the dumb b**** book club sweatshirt!! I hope it comes it pink! Lol (had to censor because UA-cam got mad lol)
I went through this for years thinking I had PCOS but my doctors always said no you're fine when you are ready there shouldn't be any problems. But I got an IUD two years ago and had to get it out and it was confirmed that I did in fact have PCOS. So it was so awesome to know I'm not crazy as I was told for so long that I was wrong, but I was very happy knowing that I did know my body. So I'm so glad you have had a good experience with doctors and such... and it sounds like your very supported with them which is great :) I also really enjoyed offside lol I wasn't expecting anything crazy going into it but was pleasantly supposed !
I have PCOS and have know since I was 14. Been on the hormonal pill ever since. I'm not looking to get pregnant right now, but it's crossed my mind that it might make that harder in the future. Just know that symptoms can be managed! ( a gyno said that for some it works to lose weight, low carb diet and aerobic exercise) ❤❤❤THOSE KITTENS ❤❤❤
Solidarity from another pcos girl! It's definitely a fun bag of mysteries. You will get used to the blood drawing, I promise! It's honestly, I think, mainly a habit thing. I've had to do it a lot because I got diagnosed very early with pcos and it just becomes routine eventually.
I also have PCOS. We did 3 IUIs that did not work, several medicated cycles with letroloze, and lots of testing. I had all normal results (from bloodwork, HSG and SSG) except we found out that I had very high prolactin. I ended up taking medication to lower the prolactin, in addition to prenatals, and myoinsitol which is an over the counter supplement to help with PCOS. I started running everyday and only ate whole foods and lower carbs than normal. After 27 months of trying and literally a week before my IVF consult, I found out I was pregnant with my son. I ended up getting pregnant with my daughter only 10 months postpartum and I now have an almost 2 year old and a 3 month old. If you havent tried lifestyle changes, I'd definitely recommend it! Stress, excerise, and food can greatly impact PCOS. Fingers crossed through this journey for you!
I also have PCOS and I know you’re not looking for medical advice but I would highly recommend reading In The Flo. It talks all about how to live in tune with your hormone cycle for better hormonal health which is everything for PCOS and also can help a lot with fertility. Other than that I’d just really encourage you to do as much research as possible. Many doctors brush it off as just an irregular period thing but it’s a whole body condition and it’s super important to understand that. I’m glad everything generally went well though and best of luck going forward ❤
I also have PCOS and I felt the same about feeling validated because it explained a lot about my horrific symptoms lol! But I think it’s so easy to think these symptoms are normal while we’re growing up because periods are so taboo to openly discuss, so I really loved hearing your thoughts and you being so open 💗🥰
As someone who does blood draws, i promise its nothing to be worried about! I know its easier said than done, but it'll be over so quick and is pretty painless. Drink lots of water prior as being hydrated makes it easier, and just let them know youre nervous, they'll do whatever they can to make you comfy ❤️
Hey! Endo chick here. Stage 4. No pcos but my amh is stupid high. We have done one egg retrieval and are working towards another at a different clinic (RE was not emotionally supportive and didnt practice trauma informed care) next month. It is an experience...and a rough one at times. But youve got this!
I had the same feeling when I got diagnosed nearly 10 years ago like it was very validating to have my concerns and symptoms recognized for what they were/are. Glad you have some answers now!!
the best part is that when she had me spread she was like omg we have the same nail color and showed me her nails. then i told her i got a mani/pedi for this which she thought was hilarious. so 10/10 recommend hahahah

You talking about PCOS made me research it and come to some realizations. I've always had trouble with my period, excess pain and blood sugar, so, tomorrow, I'm calling for an appointment with my gyno. Thanks for sharing your story!!!
We rescue cats and kittens and we had a kitten who was completely deaf and someone adopted him and months later they told us that after taking antibiotics he’s actually not deaf he just had a horrible infection! So wild!! Rescuing means the world to me, but it sucks because we have lost so many cats and kittens because no one wants to rescue they want to go to breeders so there are so many feral babies dying from infections or killed by other animals and it breaks my heart every single time. 🥺💔

Save yourself the time and don't read Spare. It was so bad. Also for bloodwork, ask for infants needle. It's gonna make it a bit easier
You are such an amazing pet-mom/auntie~ ^-^ 😊💖💖
And, as long as you aren't totally wrecking your financial security to do it or anything, you deserve all the treat-yourself moments you want-Never apologize for that. 💜🙂🤍
From one PCOS girlie to another, I’m sorry!! I’m sure they said this, but just know it’s not the end of your pregnancy journey and PCOS is treatable!! I won’t lie, the early transvaginal ultrasounds are kinda annoying, and burst cyst is even more annoying, but it will all be okay!!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷
