How to film B roll with ZHIYUN SMOOTH 4, FILMIC PRO, Android and Moment Anamorphic Lens. Just a little note. I have purposely left the footage in final b roll as it was. No warp stabilizer was applied as I wanted you to see what kind of footage when it comes to smoothness you can get from this gimbal. I have the Smooth 4 and Oslo 3. I much prefer the Smooth 4 except I see the gimbal head when using the ultra side lenS and I haven't figured out yet how I can use my external Mike with it yet.

Nice review on this Zhiyun Smooth 4 gimbal. The final B-roll looks fab. Somehow, I still feel that if DJI can make the Filmic pro App fully compatible with Android, then the Osmo 3 would be the best choice. Osmo 3's single hand control appears more intuitive plus the ease of folding the gimpal in a pouch or a soft box that comes along with the gimbal is where it scores an edge. And I can feel these points as I am currently travelling. Zhiyun Smooth 4 appears much bulky but may have powerful motors to handle heavier mobile phones though. However, I have not yet encountered any issues with the Osmo 3.

I have a similar set up (using an iPhone8 Plus). Thanks for the video as I have realised that I'm not using the Zhiyun Smooth 4 to its fullest potential. I.e Focus pull etc. I also use the controls on the iPhone App not, the actual buttons on the Gimbal - which makes a lot more sense for obvious reasons.
Usually I shoot my videos on a tripod in Manual Mode, using Filmic Remote on an iPad. (Gone are the days of having a great take only to find that only half of your head is missing in the shot). However when shooting B Roll I need to master the Gimbal controls better as you have demonstrated so masterfully.

I have few doubts that no one could respond so far.
My doubts are
1.Can we use zhyun crane m2 gimbal in youtube livestream with smartphone and how?
2.Will Zy play app permit us to access youtube livestreaming?
3.Can we use thirdparty youtube livestreaming apps?
4.Can the object tracking feature be used in youtube livestreaming?
5.Can we control the zhyun crane m2 gimbal movements remotely while live streming with smart phone?
6. Can we have zy play features like object tracking in any other app to be used with the gimbal?
My main aim is to use gimbal in smart phone live streaming with smart phone being operated by myself and sometimes for quality vedio recordings for youtube uploading.Will you recommend any other gimbals for the purpose.

Thanks for the video! I will try this gimbal with my note 9. I bought the DJI Mobile 3 gimbal and it doesn't have strong enough motors to operate properly with the 9 much less with any attached lens I bought from Moment. I hope this one works! Thanks again for all your informative and inspiring videos!
I have the Osmo 3 and I use Ulanzi counterweights when using my LGV40 with an anamorphic lens.
I do have them too but after a while the motors got hot... it works well if you just shoot here and there but not for longer periods of time as it will ruin the motors eventually 📱📷📽📹
It does work but purposely I shown the footage without any warp effect.. it is not as smooth as DJI 📽📷📱📹🤗 just so you are aware

Do you use Filmic Pro's Stabilization feature when working with the Smooth 4?
I also have the S10 plus and Filmic Pro too, and I know the S10 has two lenses that work with the app... Does it matter on what lens (Mid or Wide) you screw the Moment Anamorphic Lens onto?
The reason I ask is because if I select the S10's 'Wide lens', in the Filmic Pro app, I cannot use the Filmic Pro's Stabilization feature, but I can use it if I select the 'Mid lens'.
Basically, I am just wondering if the Anamorphic lens can use the Filmic Pro's Stabilization feature...

Great video. I wish the smooth 4 would have some features of the osmo 3. Like the rotation shot. But I like on the smooth the vertigo shot using the wheel for the zoom. 👍🏻I subscribed👍🏻

Nice tutorial, thanks helped me with Filmic, will go try now.. It's leading Lines you were right the first time, i have a xiaomi pocophone f1 did you turn off your internal camera settings stabilization off ? I get a lot of jitter will try that today,
in the home it is better .. also you can get auto exposure pull going from dark to light or opposite
zoom pull - you can set then move toward or away your subject to get real cinematic

I’m new to gimbals and noticed at the 7:59 mark that the gimbal shifted(recovered?) to the right at the end of the clip as you were panning. My zhiyun does the same thing. Is that normal? Any info on why would be helpful. Thank you!

How much practice did it take to be so comfortable with the gimbal? I get over loaded with reading the guide and watching tutorials to where I can't retain it when I'm actually out using it. Sirui P1 gimbal - not as full featured as yours but with many of the standard modes. Maybe I should just stick to one mode and get good at that as long as it takes and then try another mode on another day?

Hi zdenka.i downloaded filmic pro and haven't got all features I then purchased cinematographer to film in flat or log but when I try my screen goes black and I lose all functions of filmic pro. By the way my phone is supposed to be compatible with cinematographer have you any ideas please.

Hi, Zdenka! I have a Galaxy S10+ too (like yours), this focus wheel synced with FilmiC Pro is what really caught my attention on this, but I've seeing within another Smooth 4 videos that the raw footage comes a bit "shaky" that for me this doesn't even seems like you're using a gimbal (perhaps we can do the same thing with a handheld rig + warp stabilization at post). Is there any other option to get the focus wheel feature and a better stabilization for our smartphones and this awesome app? Thank you in advance for the response! Love your channel 📱🖤🇧🇷
Unfortunately there are not many gimbals roughy now offering focus wheel.. Hohem has it built into their zoom button but is not working with Filmic pro sadly
@@ZdenkaDarula yeah, just saw your DJI OM4 review and now I'm thinking if I should buy it or not because of the "S10+ with lenses" weight... but, heard on another youtuber's video that OM4 can do the focus live adjustment right on the joystick if connected with FilmiC Pro! Yes you can use warp stabilizer in adobe premiere Pro to make it more smooth
