      @DgsTube46 The world lost another person who was awake. More impressively, he did it in a time when there was no internet and had to seek the knowledge for himself. He speaks with bad words because he didn't like soft-toning his vocabulary. He refrained from cussing when on live TV. You could see George changed as he grew older as well.
      Why do you hate him? Are you another idiot believer?

    One of the things I admired about George Carlin was his anti-authoritarian nature, his ability to see beyond the immediate that concerned him that we tend to take for granted.
    His versatility and excellence with words, his step by step explanations of his ethics and morals, his vicious attacks on religion and government and the system of control we all experience.
    I will always admire and miss this man. I was very lucky to listen to him in my lifetime.
    He would hate the label, but I admire this man as a hero.
    I do not use that label or description lightly.

    • @MusicInfected
      @MusicInfected 8 років тому +3

      +GoodAvatar He was never attacking no one , he was just observing. He said that many times, and there is a reason for that too....

    • @GoodAvatar
      @GoodAvatar 8 років тому +6

      MusicInfected
      Actually, he *frequently* attacked people. The military, religion, big business, the Vegas tycoons, American masses.... He attacked a lot.
      You could even argue that was his comedic style.
      It didn't start out that way, it evolved over time. I just read the guy's autobiography. Fascinating stuff.

      George Most certainly is deserving being named a Hero . . . he was to me and always will be I guess. I loved this Guy . . . he was very Kind, patient, and very Intellectually superior . . . I think George was Genius !

    • @GoodAvatar
      @GoodAvatar 8 років тому +6

      Bobby Paradis You know, I think the anti-authoritarian in all of us loved this guy. He had such a good grasp of American politics and culture and had no problem pissing off the powers that be.
      Granted, he did it with an amazing grasp of language,culture, religion and a deep understanding of human nature.
      And he had issues so bizarre that it's hard to really wrap your mind around.
      Did you know that at one point he had so much cocaine that he hallucinated a conversation with multiple people in an empty room?
      His autobiography is fucking fascinating, man.

    • @GoodAvatar
      @GoodAvatar 8 років тому +8

      Jake Azz I think it might come with the territory.
      Comedy is all about exaggerating or examining something we take for granted, then enjoying the chuckles afterward.
      Many, many people are completely acceptable to the idea of being ruled over. They're okay with it.
      Comedians are saying, in a non-violent way..... Maybe we shouldn't be okay with it?

      for etienne bindels, just watch a couple more videos, but I'll summarize:
      the USA is bought and sold. the people in charge own the country and have only their own interests at heart. Elections don't matter, nothing is going to change because the people who own the country own the politicians and they don't care, so just don't vote.
      pretty sure that sums up what George would have to say about any election since he died and in the future

My education and express lane to critical thinking came from Carlin and many other comedians, male and female. He is the teacher to whom I most often go to for recurrent training. I used to steal my parents records to listen to George and Pryor all the time starting at about 8 years old, I learned more from those 2 men then i ever did in high school. I still look at the world and question everything in my 30s and it's their voices I hear when I do rip to the 2 greatest to ever do it

    anyone that dislikes george's comedy is either religious or thick. hes a funny man his comedy points out the truth of life. yes hes anti religion but then religion is a big con. children at a very young age get the brain washing started on them and it continues through life.

    I know of course he spoke about shit going on in the US, because of course he lived and grew up there. I personally grew up in the UK and still live there now, and by God so many of the things he said still applies here. RIP, George Carlin. You’ve honestly made a big impact on how I view the world (in a good and sensible way, mind). You’ll be sorely missed.

    For 13 years the world has been worse for every year. Why? It has been another year we have not had the great Carlin telling us straight up what we all are thinking but most don't dare to say out loud.
    You will forever be missed. I'd pay a huge amount for one Carlin line about year 2020.

    Louise CK: 'Carlin made him the comedien he is' so I checked him out, thanks carlin for the laughs and for giving us CK and thanks CK for bringing me to Carlin. Entertainers who die live on forever, not like in our hearts and in our minds but actually on stage, with their words, creativity is giving the world a gift. Unless its shit of course, then your just wasting everyones time including your own. The greatest artists in history will have made plenty of crap along the way that got binned tho.
