This is my new set up, 2022 Mathews V3X-33 w/ new Catfish custom strings, Vaportrail Intgr8 rest (integrated), Ultraview Sideplates, and Redline RL Torch 2-pin Dovetail sights.
I’m on my second set of gas ghost xv strings on my vxr. I haven’t run into your issues, and have been very impressed. That being said, I’m looking forward to your long term review of the threadz. I’ve heard nothing but great things.
I’ve shot them before and always had great success. It’s unfortunate, but they did take care of me and back the product they make. So no complain about Gas and the company.
What’s your opinion of barefoot archery? I’m moving to charotte in august and looking for some new places. I hear they have a 3D range. Have you been it it?
Good shop located just outside the main city of Charlotte. They have an indoor range that you can rent time in but its not a 3D range. Shoot me a DM on instagram or Facebook and Ill be glad to help you out.
That's a great setup. I have the same bow. You're not really going to use that stabilizer hunting though are you? I'm using an 8" Mathews stabilizer out front and nothing in the rear.
Do you feel your gaining anything with the 80% let off VS the 85% let off ? Or is it just a feel thing ? Those blaze orange strings & cables are absolute fire 🔥🔥🔥
It helps the transition into the valley and backwall. A little more holding weight can also help you aim better, but thats for each person to decide if it actually helps them or not, for me it does.
I’m friends with the guy who runs HHA and they are great company who make really solid products. I want to support them anyway I can, whenever I can. I don’t shoot all their products but if I have the option to I will try too.
@@jeffcordero_ that’s awesome, thanks for the reply. I am a big fan of HHA as well, zero complaints and they make great products. I had an Optimizer Lite before I switched last year to an Axcel/Ultraview combo prior to HHA making an adaptor to fit the Ultraview. Keep us updated on how the summer goes shooting your rig!
I am shooting very similar set up with my v3x. Still can’t get my peep to stay put a year later. Did you shoot the zebra strings at all? Or swap them out immediately?
I do shoot the zebra strings for a little bit, but I like to get another set and keep the zebras as a backup if I ever need them. Always have had great success with Threadz bowstrings
I shot my zebra strings for a week to break them in on my V3X then i put gas high octane strings on and they work great. I have threadz strings on my bowtech REVOLT and they are ok.
Would you recommend this for a 26 inch draw? I’ve heard this draw is more comfortable than the 29. Looking for a new bow this year and this is in my radar.
Going with a very similar setup. How has your experience been with the 250 spine Orions? They told me I could only do the 65 grain system up front on the 250 spine at 75.
I have had no problem ruining them and getting them to spine correctly, but I do run a shorter arrow. I cut my shafts as short as I can. I have roughly 1/2” from the back of the collar to the arrow rest itself. If your shooting a fixed blade head you could potentially cut your finger, so just be aware of that.
If you like the 2.75s try the 2.25s as well in a 4 fletch. I’ve been digging those lately. And they steer my fixed heads well. I have them at a 3 degree left helical.
threadz make great bow strings. hope you went with the bloodline fibre vec 99 material. all I have been using the last few years, waxleas, once you get it setup nothing really moves or shifts it stays put.
Very similar build to mine. V3X 33, 75 LB mod but it pulls 78 lbs, I am a 28.5 draw and I am shooting right around 526(ish) total arrow weight with a grim reaper micro hades and I am shooting right at 275 FPS. So I bet your around 10 or so FPS more with your longer draw.
I was just in barefoot last week looking at the lift 33. Still on the fence about forking over the cash, especially seeing a V3X pumped up to 80lbs. HMU if you want to sell that thing
The hump to get into the back wall on the Mathews is harsher when you first draw it, but after a couple shots it evens out. The Hoyt’s seemed stiff in the front but smoothed out. Can’t go wrong with either
Tell me though it has a dump into the back wall does it or does it not it does man just like the VXRI have the VXRI went to buy the Matthews V3X33 But ended up not buying it because of the dump into The Valley and that was only a 70 pound pool I shoot my Matthews VXR 31.5 at 75 pounds and I just I just don't like the way that feels I have now now also the PSEEVL34 and dude it is a smooth transition I mean this smooth as I've ever felt it feels just like a target rate straight back to anchor No dump no nothing and it's 80 pounds
For the first 15 or 20 shots the dump is aggressive but the more and more I shoot it I have adapted to it. I did like the PSE evl 34 drew, it just didn’t feel as comfortable in my hand as the Mathews did.
so is there a bracket for the HHA to shift the sight right to allow enough windage adjustment with the HHA? seems like most of the sight companies are having to do this. basically putting the sight out of the ctr line of the bow which they are trying to obtain. really wish the bow manufactures would talk to the accessories companies so this could be addressed prior to the bow release. axcel worked hand in hand with them and they still have to do the block.to.offset the head. if you want a low profile bow look at APA, they still use single.limbs and haven't gone to split.limbs and you can legit buy bows from 80-100lbs direct from them.
Yes there is. If you purchase a new sight it should come with it. They also offer the bracket for sale on the website if you have a sight that doesn’t have one
Guys who run that kind of poundage with out sacrificing form and repeatability thumbs up, but those who run that weight just to say they do it, uh,. You can kill anything in North America with alot less poundage.. just say'n.. I think there this culture of bow guys who want to say there in the 75 pnd plus bow guys..

The b-roll in this video is spectacular! Great video overall.
You know it!
Just subscribed! I wanna see where this channel goes!
I’m shooting a v3x 33 pulling at 77lbs with 80% LO as well.. I’ll be running a 552gr arrow with a day six evo up front for elk. Love my set up!
That’s a stout setup!

Been shooting Threadz for awhile now and can honestly say I won't be shooting anything else. Honestly best strings I've used.
@@bloodlines9610 Yea, they are awesome.
I have gas strings on my V3X 29. And I have threadz on my Bowtech REVOLT. I like gas a little better.
Legit set up man.
Once I saw the Bruins shirt. I instantly subscribed. Good choice on your hockey team bud!
🤘🏻😎
Sweet rig man!

Man great video again, that's a sick set up, Jeff you should sign your Hoyt and do a give away.
I’m not giving away a cracked bow 🙃
Curious if there is a reason you didn’t go with the QAD Integrate rest? Like the setup a lot, very similar to what I will be going with this fall!

Chris Bee 🐝 has his own grip for Matthews bows and he has his own line of stabilizers!
Yes he does.

I have a v3 27 and it’s 77 lbs. but I have a short draw length 🤦🏻♂️ lol sweet video. I’m planning on getting a v3x 33 at some point
Its was worth it for me.

With such a short draw the 29 string angle would work well for you. Plus the 29 will give you a slight edge in performance over the 33.
Thx man. I just watched your video on the 29. Keep up the good content!
@@jeffcordero_ thx man. Keep up the good content.

I shoot 250.spine day six out of a.90lb bow with 200 grains up front they fly beautifully
I have had no problem ruining them and getting them to spine correctly, but I do run a shorter arrow. I cut my shafts as short as I can. @@jeffcordero_ I have a 30” DL and had them cut at 29.5”. The arrows arrive Monday so I’ll check the length. Thanks for the reply
@@Risen.Outdoors you should have plenty of room. If memory is current mine are cut 28.5" carbon to carbon length, with my 29.75" draw

The ones I’m shooting right now are the 2.25 and I’m loving them

Haha no worries and they seem like a great vane so far!

28.75 is what settled on
