The hostile companion glitch is real. The companions equipping and unequipping was also a glitch where the companion AI would detect enemies far far away across the map. Similarly to the cazador AI glitch where they have glitchy coding that makes them follow you to the ends of the earth (the only enemy to do this) Hostile friendles was a pretty well known glitch in the early days of the game. The most hilarious was the glitch where lady gibson and her dogs would spawn in the Helios one solar panel yard and start attacking you and the NCR soldiers The chosen one reports are from a mod called "more perks" that came out in 2012. One of the random things that will happen with the destiny gambler perk, is the chosen one, once, will show up (and extremely low chance), and help fight when low on health. The sunset box thing is just a result of how the engine loads in everything in the cell once you enter the interiors. The boxes clip on the shelves and then the physics go crazy. Not too different than when you sometimes step on something and it gets flung far away. You can actually recreate this issue in any interior. Megaton is the easiest. Put some stuff on your shelves, and keep entering and exiting your house, and the stuff will either fall off the shelves, get stuck, or fly across the room
Speaking of physics glitches. In both fallout 3 & 4 I seem to have made eternal enemies of the cars. I’ve had cars kill me simply by jumping on them or bumping into them while exploring, & in F3 a car exploded and bugged out, flying wildly through the air before locking onto my character like a heat seeking missile and taking me out. Bugthesda really makes the most horribly optimized games but that’s honestly what makes them memorable to me lol

One time I was in Sloan and Snuffles tripped over a metal barrel and bugged out and died so I loaded an old save and moved the barrel before he could walk on it
That barrel took me out the very first time I played. Snuffles managed to get in stuck in the geometry and next thing I know I hear the metal clanging sound and I’m dead. Snuffles assassinated me
Ah, Revelation 9:6 on the sign in Camp Searchlight at 22:28. "And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them." Clever one, Obsidian.
Those ‘simulation’ theories always crack me up. I just imagine people connecting all these dots and coming to the conclusion that the video game is a video game.
On the cocktail lounge. There is one other object of interest that needs to be spoken on. The briefcase full of C4, left behind presumably during the chaos of the great war.
@shadesofslay think the Communists where gonna blow up the 38? Maybe they knew about House's defence network and wanted to make sure Vegas would be hit?
I had the Sloan Deathclaw issue as well. I believe it was caused by the invisible wall remover mod allowing them a direct route to Sloan. It also may have been Ugridstoload being set higher than normal.
Glad you're enjoying them! And - I LOVE the James is a psychopath thing - I remember reading that on Reddit! Out of bounds - is that the backrooms mod? And - drb0sch is a work of art. LOVED that series. But yeah thanks for mentioning them all cos it reminds me to re-check 'em all out again!

I was surprised to see “The Chosen One” encounter pop up here as I literally just had it happen this playthrough I’ve been doing. I immediately looked up what mod was causing it, and yes it is the “More Perks” mod with the Destiny Gambler perk active. When you enter combat the perk will then activate and randomly choose numbers from the “Die of Doom” and “Die of Fortune”. Occasionally if you get a good roll, the Chosen One will appear to help you in combat until all enemies in the vicinity are gone. I had it happen multiple times this playthrough. And yes the NPC wears power armor and wields a mini gun, though he isn’t wearing a helmet. This encounter confused the hell out of me when it first happened lol.
What I miss is the thrill of wondering if it were something baked into the game! Obviously nowadays, we know a lot of the answers to these things but that wild west early days feeling - can't beat it
I get noises and moving objects in the Sunset loading bay every single playthrough other than the one time my wife was there with me! I even told her beforehand, "now, creepy stuff happens in this place."
I think the scariest bug I’ve ever encountered in New Vegas was after I’d cleared Lonesome Road I’d gone to the quarry to get the deathclaw eggs, and I had killed all of them. I turned to leave and a deathclaw shot up from under the ground and I nearly shit myself. I’d maxed out melee so I one shot it, but that made me so paranoid that now I’m just waiting for it to happen again.
Was in Sloan once and decided to dip east to go through the little path to kill some bark scorpions for easy exp, since I was only lvl 2 and could mark the location of the Brotherhood bunker for later. I shat a brick when I saw a Deathclaw chilling by the chainlink fence, but it wasn't hostile. It just stared at me. I got closer and closer, and when I got too close it attacked and rekt me. It was only a bug where it spawned in the wrong location, but it surprised me for sure!
3:58 i had something similar happen in Fallout 3 on that hill village/survival village where hostile ghouls live, alongside few deathclaws who attack the village. I had killed the ghouls, but the status would still change to DANGER/CAUTION/HIDDEN. After not finding the source of it, i just entered one house to loot some items, only to exit it and find two Deathclaws being stuck in a loop of flying into the skies, dissapearing into a small dot very high, and than reappear again from the ground and fly into the skybox again, over and over (i even have it on my old phone as video lol) . Honestly, it was more funny than scary, but that moment before entering shack was little creepy from not seeing enemies, but having status change every few seconds and Sergeant just spamming combat lines
Freemason one is just someone on 4chan either trolling or being a little stupid. Something about the picture they showed bugged me, so I did some digging, and sure enough it's not in the base game. The symbol gets added to the door when you use NMC's textures, a fairly popular, but still third party texture pack. They even show a comparison shot of the Vanilla doors without the Freemason symbol, and the retextured doors with them on the pack's Nexus Mods page.
Ah, god dammit. Thanks for pointing this out. Sure, it’s a bit of fun, but it’s important to be correct. Ach well, the Marduk part is correct, and that’s super interesting as a tangent so hopefully it was worth it. And, this is here in the comments, so it’s on the record!
Thank you! I'm a big fan - been watching your stuff for yeeeeeeaaaarrssss now, I think I may have said on Twitter you're one of the creators who inspired me to get started - so getting this comment is particularly meaningful for me!
The underline affirms that the number should be read with the same orientation as Marduk, as 999 which means something completely different: Completion and transformation. Combined with Marduk's pantheon and his role in the Baylonian creation myth, it is probably meant to be a dedication to the birth of a new world and a new order.
The real message of Dead money is letting go of poverty. Also I feel like "the game is a simulation" is something dummies say to sound smart unless the themes of the game specifically are about that. On God every time someone is like "ooo this npc said the same line 3 times in a row so the main character must be in a simulation" I just know they chew with their mouth open
Out of all of them the Mysterious Stranger and Miss Fortune being a married couple would be the cutest thing I've ever heard But I do have something to add wot if the stranger and fortune were the courier parents? And since both were like figures of legends their souls come back to help them out in sticky situations (I know it's impossible because reasons but that's is gonna be my new headcannon :p)
4:00 I actually believe this one, on my first play through while exploring around the BoS safe house I made my way to Gypsum train yard out of curiosity and found absolutely no enemies yet the ‘Caution’ icon appeared when crouched. I entered a building found a star cap than exited only to suddenly find the previously empty place now swarming with deathclaws. Scared the crap outa me 😅
Fallout 3 and New Vegas use the same scripting for deathclaw spawning. The fallout 3 script for them was extremely glitchy and never fixed. Their spawn marker is there, and that's why you pick up the caution and danger symbols, the reason they spawn when you leave an interior is due to how "resetting" the outside cell.
The Siera Madre still has (barely) functional air raid sirens that hadn't sounded since 2077 When you turn on the main power and listen closely, you can hear them rattle to life
Not NV related, but i had something weird happen to me twice while playing Fallout 4, i was exploring around Cambridge Police Station, i was walking around and activated vats, it picked up three "invisible enemies", they had vats silhouettes and health bars, they moved as if they were running away from me and after walking around a bit they vanished from vats. Second time happened in Boston Airport after clearing out the Ghouls. I was playing on PS4 and had no mods, probably just some bug, but it really creeped me out.
@shadesofslay I'll definitely watch it! An addendum to my OG comment: There is a video with the same glitch(?) happening; *"Fallout 4 - FROST - Part 28"* by Al ChestBreach, at 6:19 something _very_ similar and near the same place as well, difference being that i was playing on PS4.
Tumbleweed Ranch is actually a Nightkin. If you find him, he'll offer to sell you a tumbleweed for the low price of all your caps. Refusal triggers combat. Accepting makes you broke. Alas, you can't actually take a tumbleweed with you.
I actually have something to say about two of the things in this video! First, the forums talked about starting at 17:15. I'm fairly certain that the forum itself is gamesas, currently called "Game Skyrim Forum", and the place is indeed a weird mystery on its own. The thing about is, it's never been any kind of actual community. Every single one of the millions of posts it has were taken from the official Bethesda Softworks forums, back when those still existed. And all the "accounts" have usernames that were scraped from Facebook (I think), which is why they're real names. At one time the pictures were also scraped from there, too, but I think at some point whoever ran the site must have seen people talking about how weird it was that this random site was using people's real names and photos so they seemed to have changed things up. There are still some photos of real people, but those are just kind of mixed in with a bunch of other random pictures, presumably in an attempt to make things look more "real". Unfortunately the official forums no longer exist, so you can't directly compare the posts to the original ones, but yeah... As it stands, I'm pretty sure it's actually the most comprehensive archive of the Bethesda Softworks forums out there by virtue of it still existing, though I highly doubt that was ever it's intent. It stopped scraping posts around 2017, though, so it's not like it has every single post. Still, it's really weird, and the few times I've seen anyone talking about it, nobody ever came to any kind of answers as to why it exists. Probably less interesting is the Sunset Sarsaparilla HQ, talked about around 21:10. It is kind of spooky with all the seeming movement, but I'm 100% sure it's entirely caused by the Havok engine itself. You have to keep in mind that it's wonky at the best of times, and it has been since Oblivion. Who doesn't remember tossing out a bunch of cheese wheels or watermelons in that game just to watch them go flying? New Vegas uses the same engine. And in the HQ, there are SO MANY physics objects. Every single one of those bottles and boxes have havok physics enabled, and as you can see in the video itself, they're all stacked on top of each other, some of them also shoved together in shelves. If you stay in the cell for any length of time, an explosion of items is kind of inevitable. And, at least in my experience, any sudden noises were also linked to that. I do agree that it makes the place feel haunted though, lol.
Love this. I wish I had more time to reply (about to start work) but honestly, that first part in particular about the forum - and I think you're right by the way, they probably mixed it up with Fallout - has got me itching to look into it further! But I'm gonna have to wait another eight hours!
A lot of the objects flying around on their own or enemies getting stuck in the ground can easily be explained by the goofy collision physics of the game. Those Sunset Sarsaparilla crates are extremely light weight and often fly off the shelves if even slightly tapped by another object.
The lessons of Sierra Madre ring hollow when you can actually leave the place with every gold bar and live to tell the tale by moving very carefully lol
The Ed-E thing also happened to me, random combat sounds and always a caution when in stealth, sudden ED-E going back to Primm and then he was hostile, this happened on the ps3 and thinking that the build was broken I bought the game on PC a few years later, never knew what happened
Literally today or yesterday there was a mod that adds more apocalyptic weathers to DNW Would enhance the atmosphere you create here even more Really enjoy the videos bruv
The line between vanilla audio and horrifying sound glitch seems pretty thin till you play so much new vegas that it instantly raises the hairs on the back if your neck
I've actually had the burned bodies in the tribal village respawn alive after I came back to it several weeks after clearing out the cazadores. They don't have any dialogue, kind of like the generically named "new Vegas citizen" NPCs.
As someone who's played fallout new vegas religiously I can find an explanation to everything in the ed-e story. Random caution? Ed-e has inhanced sensors and was probably detecting some enemy a mile away Disappearing after a fight? Clipped through the floor, the ol' Bethesda special! Returning to primm? Companions will go home after a while. Randomly hostile? He's a robot his targeting chip was probably crippled causing him to frenzy. Bottom line just another example of a Bethesda game 'working as intended'
I have a rather curious bug in my games. Whenever I head to "tribal village" to loot and gain some experience by killing Cazadores, I start walking from there to Goodsprings to sell everything. After passing by the log between 2 houses near the cemetery, a Cazador spawns at the door of the house on my left, in some other games a Radscorpion spawns behind the Saloon in the part where you practice shooting with Sunny Smiles. However, the strangest thing was that once walking along the road before reaching the "caution" signs outside of Goodsprings I saw that a Viper was nearby. The strange thing is that I was nowhere near Bonnie Springs.
Interesting phenomena! Y'know, it feels kind of related to the Deathclaw spawning in Sloan story... do you reckon these are variants of that spawning mechanic going awry?
@@shadesofslay It is possible, but it is strange that it is so consistent, I would recommend trying it in one of your games to see if you can replicate it. Of course, the walk is going to be boring, since you have to be "overencumbered" from Trival Village to Goodsprings. BTW, I liked your video and your narration :>
@@NotDevilman Thank you! And - I may give it a bit of a test! Might be a lil while tho since I'm gonna do a few other vids before revisiting NV urban legends specifically!
That first one reminds me of a similar event that happened to me involving raul. I was playing on the 360 and i remember returning to the lucky 38 from whatever wasteland shenanigans i did that day. I had every companion there but as i entered the presidential suite raul just decides to light me up with his magnum. I can't tell you how confused i was. None of the other companions there would attack him. I was forced to put him down upsettingly. Reloading a recent save didn't help. I remember it only worked when i had to load a save hours earlier. When i saved outside of Raul's shack. Thats when i learned what potentially caused him to become hostile. The reason i saved outside his shack was because i had killed the malnourished brahmin outside of it. I then assumed that the brahmin must have been linked to his faction tree somewhere and thats what caused him to become hostile towards me once i killed it. This time i didn't and he never became hostile again. However i do find it strange that ive tried to replicate this by killing the brahmin in more recent times but he never turns hostile. Idk maybe it was patches or maybe i did a specific set of things that caused him to become hostile unknowingly. I really wish i had recorded it because it was pretty weird. I don't think ive even seen it documented either.
Thanks for sharing this account of what happened! You put it quite well, saying it was upsetting to put them down. Cos it is! They're companions, it feels so wrong to have to do that.
To talk about Boone/Deacon similarities and trying to link the two in lore, highlighting Boone's hatred of the Legion and specifically their slavery would be good. That said they're definitely not related characters.
What sucks about the modern day is we cant really get too much like this too much because everyone can check the source code to see if something exists like herobrine
I 100% agree. I miss the mystery (and being young enough to sort of suspend disbelief for a while). Definitely trying to capture some of that magical vibe in the videos. Of course, also documenting these things and sharing ones people may not have come across...
The Chosen One "glitch" can be triggered by the "destiny gambler" perk from the More Perks mod, the perk adds dice to the player's inventory and will roll them occasionally granting help in combat, health, and other bonuses like the spawning of the chosen one in a similar manner to the mysterious stranger. The dice will also roll badly and can spawn mines at the player's feet, or the worst one i've encountered it spawned a mini deathclaw that was invisible, almost impervious to damage and one shotted everything in its way.
7:41 I hope the developer of that mod did eventually update it to stop the conflict, but also added a background with mentions of random blackouts and a bit of code that occasionally triggers them in a similar manner.
Has anyone else experienced the glitch of, upon starting a new game, random NPC's around Goodsprings just don't spawn, locking you out of the quests they offer. It happened to me a few years ago, and I like to joke that my copy of New Vegas is cursed. When it first happened to me, Sunny Smiles was missing, and I couldn't get her to spawn by restarting the game, so I decided to start a new save. Sunny was still missing, and Trudy has joined her. I decided to not try again, as I didn't want to break my game even more. I haven't tested the game since then, as I have misplaced the disc......
I've not experienced that myself, but maybe others have - thanks for sharing this! Also - I enjoy your videos - will probably be listening tonight for sleep aid! (Not that they're boring, just nice vibes/chill.)
my scariest tale is probably when i was playing fallout 4. the game decided to auto save near the scientists cave. unfortunately, i was standing right next to the sleeping deathclaw when it saved. safe to say that save is near untouchable without mods, everytime i spawned i basically started with half health and had about 1 second to get out of reach of the next swing
@@shadesofslay At the time I just thought it was part of the mod. The mod has a few random encounters within it. Though since there was nothing to do I just got in the Tardis and left after walking about for a bit.
I had something weird happen to me in new Vegas. I was playing the regular new Vegas (no dlc) on Xbox 360. This was maybe only my second or third play through at the time, I entered freeside and after a few steps in the screen goes first person on its own and zooms in a bit at the sky, almost like a conversation started, but there was nobody on the screen and the only sound was a single gunshot. Then it went back to normal. After a few more steps it happened once more. I’ve never seen it again. It didn’t really creep me out at the time, or now really. It was probably a kings member trying to talk with me but something was going wrong in the game. But now I like to think about how maybe the game was emphasizing how dangerous freeside was, letting you know someone, somewhere nearby, just met there end
I’ve read a theory somewhere that No Bark character in Novac is actually the sole survivor of Vault 11 who went mad over the years on account of happened in the vault. Apparently in his dialogue he can be heard mumbling something about ‘commies trying to carve Lenins face on the moon’ and combining that with the fact that he is old, alone and loosing his marbles has some speculating that he is in fact the guy who we can hear leaving the Vault 11 in the recording found there.
@@shadesofslay There's a theory that the "true" story he tells you at the end of getting his companion ranking up is a metaphor. Essentially, the "anti-synth gang" he was in was the Brotherhood of Steel. The woman he fell in love with who turned out to be a synth as Sarah Lyons. She and him fled, Maxson found them and had her killed, and he dedicted his life to helping synths in her memory, through his pre-existing connections with the Railroad from the quest with the synth in Fallout 3. I fully believe it.
@ very cool. The only part that confused me was Sarah Lyons being a synth. Have I missed some info somewhere along the line? Or is that pure speculation?
@@shadesofslay Pure sepculation, due to the unclear nature of her death. It ties into the "Maxson assassinated her to take over" theory, just adding an additional reason for him to have fully covered it up, as if the rest of the brotherhood found out they were being led by a synth, that mighr be trouble.
It's unfortunate that you can't mod console games. The thing that kept happening to me was that if I entered a loading screen the roulette wheel would stop spinning and then you couldn't quit the game or do anything. The only option was to flip the power switch on the back of the console which is dangerous (could corrupt the system's data if not shut down the correct way) and really it made the game untrustworthy at best and unplayable at the worst if I wanted to keep my retro console. Unfortunately Bethesda has always released games that have great concepts and story but are absolutely broken. Up until Fallout 4 the player base could usually create mods to un-fuck the game and make it smoother and more playable. Like just home grown big fixes, patches, quality of life updates. Then Bethesda decided that it wanted to release more broken games like fallout 4 and fallout 76 and tell modders to go kick rocks. I know this turned into a bit of a rant but everyone is fed up with publishers, the music industry, gaming dev companies, etc telling the consumers that they don't want to listen to us and that we will buy their crap regardless. Bethesda could literally put their logo on a cow turd and call it genuine Brahmin dung and somebody would buy it. That is how low they think of us.
@@shadesofslayall Bethesda games on PS3 had a horrible memory leak issue. The longer you played them, the worse your FPS got. The PS3 port of NV is literally broken and never should have been sold.

If by sad you mean entertaining, and by many you mean two, then I completely get you! BUT jokes aside, not everything is for everyone, I get that - hopefully you found entertainment in some of the other stories :) and, of course, thanks for watching.
@shadesofslay There are so many more cases of it beyond what's presented here. I was indeed entertained but there was one where the story writer for the game debunked it. Two, in fact. However, those that believed the theory continued to do so - despite all evidence to the contrary.
New Vegas urban legends are so interesting to me because half the time there's a genuine chance outlandish things are 100% real. Mainly because almost anyone who plays New Vegas these days has it modded to shit, which brings along a bunch of wacky occurrences, intended or no.
omg i could not figure out the context of you saying “ED” over & over again in every entry, even when ED was irrelevant to the entry. you were saying “eerie” the whole time. i feel dumb 😐
I heard and am convinced that tumbleweeds use an npc parent profile, essentially the exact same thing as Bethesda does with mannequins in skyrim, how they are technically NPCs, but are static. But when the engine goes stupid the weird spooky glitches happen like mannequins moving, changing positions at cell reloads, etc. I believe the tumbleweeds are the same exact thing, and with tumbleweed ranch I would think they are in the places they are because they, technically as an npc, are attempting to go to an animation job. Sitting on the couch, laying in the bed. Just as a normal npc would. Tumbleweeds also apparently bleed when you shoot them, again eluding that they use a parent profile of an npc. Just a fun thing I figured Id throw out there. A lot of these weird stories tend to be born out of players that have a lack of knowledge, especially when you start throwing in buggy mods in an already buggy game. Although games like new vegas, its weird. Its almost like even the cut content is spooky. It really is like the game itself is haunted sometimes. Ive seen some weird stuff about new vegas but I never experienced much myself when I played it years back.
Y'know I did see on the "Fallout iceberg" something about Sentient Tumbleweeds, but I couldn't find anything about it anywhere and figured it was a silly made up idea. But, reading this, I wonder if this was what it was referring to...
@shadesofslay It was, Im pretty sure thats the video I heard it from too. I was on a binge so I cant remember who or what video it was. lol But it makes a lot of sense, and Beth has done these tricks as far back as Oblivion to make certain things happen. The statue in...Bruma? dedicated to the player after the main story and all (Im blanking on names forgive me), well that huge statue also uses this trick, and someone re enabled some stuff in the entry and made the statue "alive" and non-static. Pretty neat stuff. Pretty crafty too.
@shadesofslay Crazy stuff huh. Its almost like getting a peek of the game developers point of view. We usually see gameplay but they see numbers and entries and coding, formulas.
This is a debate that happened in my friend group when growing up. Even if the game told us to call ED-E that, some of us preferred the other way. So I guess it stuck.

25:15 Hooooly shit, I actually had the fallout who Vegas cave house thing happen to me too! Thought I had invented the memory in my mind but this was exactly what I had happen. The thing with this mod is, the landing locations have to be added by hand by the mod authors (or yourself if you use GECK) which made it all the more creepy to me honestly. I’m almost certain the theory of it being an Easter egg in the mod or unused content is correct. Honestly the mod had a ton of cut content during development, since it was such an ambitious mod, especially for the time. Now I need to start a play-through with it again lol
Wait the alpha deathclaw spawning in Sloan happened for me on the 360, I thought it was a scripted event since everyone in there tells you be careful about the Quarry
i have a little story from NV i went to replay the game a few years ago and while i was just before the character creation not put name in yet i saw a npc walk through the door to the right of the vigor tester it was a guy in a suit he was just gone by the time i could move
I had to stop playing the game because I was near New Vegas and encountered a group of Caesar's Legion assassins and once i killed them a death claw came out of nowhere and when i killed it two more spawned and every single one i killed spawed two more
I've had the scorpion show up in my game with its tail in the ground but it was alive. I killed it and it's body would show up in places near where I killed it.
Kinda sucks that some of these are just people not remembering the mods they installed, simple reused assets (James & Margaret photo), or just plain dumb (all "its a simulation" theories are dumb, regardless of media or IRL). Otherwise, stuff like this is neat. The simpler legends and spooky stuff tend to be the best.
The hostile companion glitch is real. The companions equipping and unequipping was also a glitch where the companion AI would detect enemies far far away across the map. Similarly to the cazador AI glitch where they have glitchy coding that makes them follow you to the ends of the earth (the only enemy to do this)
Hostile friendles was a pretty well known glitch in the early days of the game. The most hilarious was the glitch where lady gibson and her dogs would spawn in the Helios one solar panel yard and start attacking you and the NCR soldiers

For those Deathclaws, the sky truly was the limit!!

Scared the crap outa me 😅
What is it with these predator-like deathclaws emerging from the ether??
Fallout 3 and New Vegas use the same scripting for deathclaw spawning. The fallout 3 script for them was extremely glitchy and never fixed. Their spawn marker is there, and that's why you pick up the caution and danger symbols, the reason they spawn when you leave an interior is due to how "resetting" the outside cell.

Whattttt
@ lol that’s the only blackout with ghoul noises in the vanilla game that I can think of
I actually have something to say about two of the things in this video!
Ha!
The Ed-E thing also happened to me, random combat sounds and always a caution when in stealth, sudden ED-E going back to Primm and then he was hostile, this happened on the ps3 and thinking that the build was broken I bought the game on PC a few years later, never knew what happened

Ed-e has inhanced sensors and was probably detecting some enemy a mile away
Disappearing after a fight? Clipped through the floor, the ol' Bethesda special!
Returning to primm? Companions will go home after a while.
Randomly hostile? He's a robot his targeting chip was probably crippled causing him to frenzy.
Bottom line just another example of a Bethesda game 'working as intended'
I used to have him as a companion for a while and he'd always fall out of bounds or get stuck on a low ceiling lol

Oh yeah. Another mystery video. let's go.
Here we gooooooo

I always say eedee.
The chosen one is just apart of the more perks mod and it happens very often in my playthroughs
Thanks for this - yep, a few other commenters said the same! Hope you enjoyed the other stories though!
To talk about Boone/Deacon similarities and trying to link the two in lore, highlighting Boone's hatred of the Legion and specifically their slavery would be good.
That said they're definitely not related characters.
Yep, it's fun to consider of course, but I agree with you personally. And, great point about the slavery connection - wish I'd mentioned that!
Love the detail - thank you for sharing!
7:41
I hope the developer of that mod did eventually update it to stop the conflict, but also added a background with mentions of random blackouts and a bit of code that occasionally triggers them in a similar manner.
That would def be fun. Sort of a mini-easter egg type thing.
The van graffs just turned on me for no reason whatsoever while I was completing there questline.

That is such a creepy interpretation of that! Let’s just stop the action and zoom into the empty space a person used to be…
I had the hand glitch happen to me recently game thought i was wearing a death claw gauntlet

Love that idea! It's just as plausible as any other theory I reckon!
Boone can't be Deacon because Deacon is the Lone Wanderer.
Tell me more!
@@ElectricheadPt1 I like it! It's definitely a compelling theory - would make for a great backstory to what happened, indeed.
FNV nearly bricked my PS3.
Really? I never played on console, only ever PC! Well I played oblivion on console for a very short time.

@@codycarabotta5621 Yes I remember the statue in Bruma and watching that in a video too - but can't remember who it was either!
@shadesofslay Crazy stuff huh. Its almost like getting a peek of the game developers point of view. We usually see gameplay but they see numbers and entries and coding, formulas.
@@codycarabotta5621 This is why I'm in awe of devs, modders, anyone who was or gets under the hood (or built what was there)!
The sierra madre hologram ghosts scared the shit out of me and im a grown ass man.
Its ED-E not E-D-E its more like Eddy with a pause Ed E not E,D,E
This is a debate that happened in my friend group when growing up. Even if the game told us to call ED-E that, some of us preferred the other way. So I guess it stuck.
Can't nail the Scottish accent down to 5O miles , I'm noob to the channel but am born in Glasgow and have been dealing with Mexicans on construction sites for too long in So-california
I was born not far from you - within 50 miles in fact!
I guess you feel pretty validated by this then!
Wait the alpha deathclaw spawning in Sloan happened for me on the 360, I thought it was a scripted event since everyone in there tells you be careful about the Quarry
The quarry yeah, not Sloan!
If I remember correctly, didn't the dinky the dinosaur figure or smth make an odd but quiet noise
I'm not sure. If it did, and you confirm that, lemme know!
dinky the dinosaur does roar if you listen very closely
i have a little story from NV i went to replay the game a few years ago and while i was just before the character creation not put name in yet i saw a npc walk through the door to the right of the vigor tester it was a guy in a suit he was just gone by the time i could move
Very strange indeed!
stan scorpion bro 🔥
Good video ❤
Thanks 😁
I had to stop playing the game because I was near New Vegas and encountered a group of Caesar's Legion assassins and once i killed them a death claw came out of nowhere and when i killed it two more spawned and every single one i killed spawed two more
That's an almost nuclear level of Deathclaws behaving like a runaway chain reaction...
i remeber one time playing fallout 3 a deth claw took my arm off. never has happened again and i have not found any information on it.
I've had the scorpion show up in my game with its tail in the ground but it was alive. I killed it and it's body would show up in places near where I killed it.
Missed out on an unofficial companion!
@shadesofslay scared the crap outta me. Kept shooting it when I saw it. But will keep it next time.
