This scatters the remains of the Brotherhood, but the Courier keeps enough standing that Veronica can accept what happened, and the remnants of the Brotherhood aren't marked for kill-on-sight. Keeping standing with the NCR so their citizens still come to New Vegas means there isn't much option for the Powder Gangers to be left standing. An unfortunate loss of life since not all of them were violent criminals, but not everyone can be saved in the Mojave. Working with various NCR groups on the side, Golf and the east front can be stablized, the sharecroppers can be empowered, MacNamara can be stablized, and the NCR can reach such a standing with the Courier that their demilitarization in the Mojave doesn't leave the citizens demoralized as the Securitrons move in to protect the greater New Vegas area. To speed through the rest: The Crimson Caravan can be made honest again with Rose, the Boomers can ally House, the three families of New Vegas can be cleaned up and brought in line, the Enclave can be given their last hurrah, and Primm gets the best results of a House ending with Slim. It's not perfect, but with enough alliances, Courier Six can go robotic enough with enough cybernetics between the Clinic and Big MT to survive for decades as the hands of House to bring peace to the Mojave for years to come.
You can get the Powder Gangers in Vault 119 to join the Great Khans as they leave the Mojave if you destroy the sulfur mines below the Vault with C4. The rest, as you mentioned, that stayed near the prison are buzzard food.
It is possible to convince the brotherhood to reconcile with the NCR and team up. The NCR gives back all the power armor they have that doesn't properly work and the brotherhood does patrols in the Mojave for them while also making sure dangerous technology doesn't fall into the wrong hands There is a way to get the powder gangers to surrender to the NCR and go back to jail It does require you to go to the vault that they're hold up in
And then what happens? After the decades of cybernetics fail House 's couriers hand? And his own systems give out? What then? Not really an ending so much as a continuation of one

I feel like mr house or the courier would hire and train a small army of mercs using the wealth and tech of vegas to establish both outposts and law enforcement
In the chaos ending the Strip would just become an open air vault after a certain point. All those tourists waiting for things to cool down so they can go home and it just never does. Eventually realizing those securitrons and the gate are the only thing keeping them safe and with barely any new visitors they grow increasingly insular. Assuming of course their insane mailman overlord doesn’t set the securitrons on them.

NCR civilians are NOT subject to this order of withdrawal! They may visit New Vegas freely, enjoying all that the Vegas Strip has to offer! So long as NCR military personnel comply with this order to withdraw, electricity and water will continue to flow from Hoover Dam to the NCR.”
when you combine the Freedom Courier with the technology from Big MT, you basically counter the whole Brotherhood, not only the Courier would provide freeside/strip with even more supplies through the Sierra Madre's (Modified so they dont need the Chips and instead use energy to work, since the Chips are kinda batteries) Vending Machines and with the Help of the Think Tank, develop new codes, both for even more supplies for survival and also new military equipment, like a new variant of power armor made out of Saturnite Alloy or even an army of Securitrons Mk VII (since there are new versions of the Securitrons in Big MT already) also made out of saturnite alloy and shooting LAER lasers instead of regular lasers, and even a much better self-fixing systems similar to the vending machines, not to consider an army of holograms, and even if all of that isnt enough, the Courier could simply ask the Think Tank to create a new variant of the Red Cloud, but being easier to control, so they could evacuate the whole Mojave and release the Gas, once Vegas was already Immune to the gas of course, so even if the BoS tried to call all other Chapters to take the Mojave, there would be nothing they could do (sorry if my english is bad, im not american)
The BoS wouldn't need to do anything except retreat. The tunnelers are on their way to the mojave, I could only see the courier and the holograms giving them any trouble. And the courier doesn't take any hologram emitter tech from the madre.
H&H tools also belonged to Mr House's brother who was estranged and resentful of House. His brother had actually hacked into the Lucky 38 and there was going to be a quest that would see you either reopen the factory with employment from either freeside or the NCR. Alternatively you could use the H&H building to remotely steal control of the Lucky 38 from House in the Yes Man ending, a conspiracy from a brother from beyond the grave.
You are truly "hobbling" both of those characters! Hell, my wildcards (almost all of my couriers are wildcards these days, as I've got a head-canon of the 'Majoveh-Confederation' - where the Courier as head of New Vegas (the New will be replaced vor LAS again!) runs the region, with securitrons (and other robots through a bounty system - people can bring in bots, computers, parts, weapons etc. and gain a cap bounty!) and his or her own (fleshy) army and police-force and people get a say too via an elected council (Courier can veto their decisions, he's got the muscle after all)) help the NCR a LOT more than neccessary and it's not just for the sweet sweet XP an loot! Same for my House-Couriers, they help NCR etc. more than House would like!
23:00 maybe Caesar doesn’t send his men to check what you did, as they would then know Caesar built his main camp where he keeps himself, his highest officers, and most of his men in Mojave on top of a giant robot army and didn’t even know it. It would show he’s as smart as he acts. But I’m sure Caesar would spin it as divine help that the securitrons didn’t wake up and slaughter them all (unless you don’t destroy them and go House/Yes Man)
Caesar explains it in game- he doesnt want people to become over reliant on tech. Also funny how radking says “we can also follow caesars order, but only in a yes man run.”
Stuff like this always gets me thinking. A lot of people say House is the best ending cause "you're the courier and you're not that smart." But I think what people forget is the courier is me but with like a 20int stat by the end of the game and on a mentat binge. I'm sure my courier could not only run New Vegas, but figure out how to do exactly what House was thinking of doing even better.
I was thinking this video was going to be whether either of these endings are going to be tied into the next season of the Fallout TV show. Looks like the Legion is out of the picture on account of how barren the strip looked when Hank is seen overlooking it. I'd imagine the Legion would have lots of flames and bodies there. I'm thinking either the Courier endings or the NCR ending was canon. Maybe House's ending but I have a feeling House's autocracy would have left The Strip thriving. After all by that time he'd be 276 years old with the majority of that time stewing over the future of The Strip. Plus if he had his Securitrons upgraded they would have made it trivial to protect The Strip so the only thing left is the economy. With the Dam power and Mr House's business skills I have no doubt The Strip would have been overflowing with activity and growth.
Really curious what the show will choose as the canon ending of New Vegas. I always assumed, after I first played it, that it was either the House or NCR ending.
I'd say House would have more of a presence in the wider Mojave - if concentrated at some points of interest necessary for his future plans for the New Vegas area - after all, he isn't going to let his city be a single street in the middle of a ruin forever. The various mines and the quarries for metal and cement/concrete, the Vegas Steel plant, the various railroad infrastructure like the old emergency service yard, HELIOS to supplement the wider power grid, and H&H Tools and Cerulean Robotics for their manufacturing infrastructure, maybe even Sunset Sarsaparilla HQ if a mailman or something figured out the recipe. Those could be businesses built up and spun off by House for those he didn't need to keep a close eye on. As for the military camps, House would probably station groups of securitrons at the ones directly on or adjacent to the highways just for the sake of securing them from raiders and hostile wildlife by necessity to maintain trade routes, if not just hire mercenaries to secure them instead.
I personally have a roleplay headcanon ending where it's an infependant Courier ending but he realizes that House is best for the Mojave. So the courier makes sure that there is a mutual understanding between him and House that he could be taken out at any time should he become a tyrant, but outside of that the Courier will be his right hand man while ensuring the freedom and prosperity of the Mojave and grooming an eventual line of successors to help (and keep in check) House since everyone else is not immortal
@@Quizzmet The Courier could just kill all of the securitrons and drill through the wall. Pick-axe if he has to. At the end of the day, House is just a man in a pod.
@@Falloutlover1011Yup. House knew Vault-Tec wanted to bomb everyone, but didn't try to save anyone outside Vegas. He still acts like a techbro even after the Apocolypse. He learned nothing from the Old World failures, blaming democracy when he helped destroy it.
What I like most about the Yes Man ending is that it canonically causes chaos, plus it isn't even an independent ending, the Courier is an Autocrat just like House. Independent from whom exactly
The Courier doesn't really becomes an Autocrat but more like a peacekeeper (thanks to the army of Securitrons) that lets the citizens, towns and factions of the Mojave be free of the NCR, Caesar or House intervention, that's why is the "Independent Ending" but "Yes Man Ending" could be better since he does the logistics and other more complex work to let you do basically whatever you want, then the ending is more about the Courier using Yes Man to do their commands, then maybe the Courier does become an Autocrat or maybe it's still a peacekeeper, a benevolent leader, a righteous king, a pragmatic under the shadows mastermind, who knows, that's up to your Courier.
@@mrheherdisruptor8975 Then who is to say that they become a peacekeeper? An Autocrat is merely a figure who doesn't hold elections, and from what we see and hear from dialogue, the Courier has little interest in defending or expanding democracy
@@E.Cheese Well that's kinda the point i was trying to make at the end, that's up to your Courier. Also, i guess the Courier becomes a Peacekeeper since they are not a leader and the idea is to let the Mojave and Vegas run themselves so what better to do with all this power than become a Peacekeeper to keep avoiding that external factions, creatures, fiends and other shit kills the people of the Mojave, also also, dialogue options are up to you.
The chaos ending but with the khans still alive for distribution of "flour" would be even more savage. Supplying the strip, fiends and powder gang with naughty substances. Leaving the boomers alone for the sake of death fields remaining active. Now we talking real chaos
A great fallout game, or maybe mod spinoff, would be the finding of the chip. It’s left kind of vague how exactly it was recovered and I imagine the story is interesting.
Great video, love this series! I always go with the Independent ending and just say "my courier will take care of it" if anything goes wrong. I imagine helping the Khans return to their former glory, and them being allies to New Vegas in the North. I figure when the courier gets old they'll just go into the antechamber and do what Mr. House did to live forever and stay in control. Basically I rely on the courier staying alive, and their good relations as well as power and influence with all the factions leaving them basically allied with the courier's vegas, even the BoS. I'm not sure if the ending slides really reflect that but it's my headcanon😅 If I massacred the fiends, in my mind they no longer exist. Get rid of the powder gangers, get quarry junction up and running, get some real industry other than gambling, and use the dam and helios for power. All this would probably include forming a proper government and militia to supplement the securitrons etc. etc. let the fires of industry burn. All this on top of DLC stuff, allied with Joshua in the North, implementing the Sierra Madre vending machines and holograms in New Vegas with help from Christine, maybe nuking the Legion and NCR to block their path into the Mojave. Tech from Big Mt. can be used as well, vault 22 plants, all sorts of stuff. Usually I play with 10 INT so I just figure with essentially immortality and a big brain (or more likely no brain) and all of Big Mt. to assists, the courier could figure out and implement a lot of the handy dandy tech.
I basically do this type of thinking with the House ending. The Courier wants freedom and prosperity and realizes House brings stability, so as long as he doesn't become a tyrant, House can stay in charge, and House knows the Courier is a walking army that can take him out at any time if he gets pissed off, and House also knows The Courier mostly agrees with him (hence being alive) and only wants to be allowed more prosperity outside of what he had planned for the Strip itself, so he let's The Courier govern the greater Mojave and groom a line of successors to assist and counter a potentially tyrant that will never be.
I also have a similar head canon for the good karma Institute/minutemen end where you take over the Institute and since you're solely in charge, everyone has to obey you when you say "Stop being evil and start helping the surface using your technology" A similar line of thinking to The Blades by definition taking orders from the Dragonborn and not the other way around, so you should be able to veto Delphine when she demands you kill your greatest ally despite there being no hint of hostility from him
About Khans. By completing the quest and telling Papa Khan he should move on, they actually just leave Vegas once battle starts, so you can both spare them and leave Legion/NCR without a potential ally.
I tested this before but basically there’s a way to do all the quests for all sides until it makes you pick a side. I did it for all sides to see what gives me the most experience. When I did, the most that did was yes man side. I was trying to get enough levels and experience to do the DLCs before finishing the main story and once I got almost to the end of the main quest, went to do all the DLCs and when I was done, I was pretty good leveled and geared and finished the game quickly.
In my opinion, the best ending is with the bulk of Caesar's forces in ruin an independent New Vegas run by The courier allied with the Ncr With the efficiency and stability of the New Vegas region under the corrier. The NCR wouldn't struggle quite so much. It would be able to strengthen itself up and survive much longer
You can have an independent Vegas that is stable instead of having a chaos Courier to make everything unstable for Vegas and still everything will be better than what you're saying
I know that the (cursed in some instances!) Ending-Slides say that the Followers get swamped, they forgot or had not yet implemented the Dead Money, Old World Blues etc. DLCs where you can gain access to a lot of medical tech and during the ending you gain access to a VERTIBIRD...so yeah, you can get that stuff and the vending machines to jumpstart industry! So yeah, discard most of the slides!
Chaos Independent playthrough is one of the more compelling endings imo. Most people who do Yes man ending just do benevolent courier saves the Mojave but I like chaotic courier fucks everything up more.

I would prefer a "Communal Ending" where all the none military factions of the Mojave works together to builds an independent and self sufficient, in energy, foods productions where the people need are places on tops. Right now we have an unfinish "independent Skynet" ending, and the other three are all terrible, two of which are older corporate interest vs the newer corporates interest, and the other is just rebuilding Rome.

Of course this loses you out on saving Raul unless your lockpick (or pickpocket) skill is good enough as Tabitha takes the keys to Rails cell on her as she leaves Black Mountain
I just wanna say, that it’s kinda odd that House thinks the Legion would be an issue with Caesar dead. Like everything points to the Legion not lasting more than a year or two after Caesar dies, as it’s his planning that’s holding the legion together at all. Shoddycast went into this matter deeper, but the legion won’t live beyond Caesar. All the NCR has to do is wait them out.
I think that's down mainly to the fact that it seems the Legion didn't get as fleshed out as it should've been, so while we see a rather pathetic yet dangerous roleplay group that's destined to die regardless, the intended faction is meant to be a legitimate potential empire on the rise.
@@DelinquentChibi that may be, but we have to treat the legion as they are in canon, not as what they could’ve been. And honestly even then I question it. Their religion centered around Caesar, they had no real line of succession in place.

It's not perfect, but with enough alliances, Courier Six can go robotic enough with enough cybernetics between the Clinic and Big MT to survive for decades as the hands of House to bring peace to the Mojave for years to come.
iirc the house ending overrides the peace between ncr and kings into house taking out the kings for "working" with the ncr
The NCR gives back all the power armor they have that doesn't properly work and the brotherhood does patrols in the Mojave for them while also making sure dangerous technology doesn't fall into the wrong hands
There is a way to get the powder gangers to surrender to the NCR and go back to jail It does require you to go to the vault that they're hold up in
And then what happens? After the decades of cybernetics fail House 's couriers hand? And his own systems give out? What then? Not really an ending so much as a continuation of one
MacNamara?
IIRC, finishing the Three Card Bounty quest + taking Motor Runner out results in the Fiends no longer being a threat to Southern Vegas.

56:20 If the NCR tried to do that, I’m pretty sure that would violate the Order of Withdrawal, meaning they’d lose access to water and electricity from the Dam
“As Chief Executive of the Free Economic Zone of New Vegas, I hereby demand the IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL of all NCR military personnel from New Vegas and its surrounding territories.
a) Yes, "all military personnel" includes NCR Rangers.
b) "New Vegas and its surrounding territories" includes (but is not limited to) Hoover Dam, McCarran International Airport, HELIOS One, and the El Dorado substation.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE that my vast army of heavily-armed Securitrons has been rather inflexibly programmed to respond to acts of aggression with overwhelming force.
a) For examples of "heavily-armed" and "overwhelming force," I will refer you to the pitiless campaign of extermination my Securitrons will have visited upon Caesar's Legion by the time you are reading this document.
b) Any NCR military personnel who do not withdraw from New Vegas and its territories will be seen as committing an "act of aggression."
Thanks now the NCR has developed PMC's.
when you combine the Freedom Courier with the technology from Big MT, you basically counter the whole Brotherhood, not only the Courier would provide freeside/strip with even more supplies through the Sierra Madre's (Modified so they dont need the Chips and instead use energy to work, since the Chips are kinda batteries) Vending Machines and with the Help of the Think Tank, develop new codes, both for even more supplies for survival and also new military equipment, like a new variant of power armor made out of Saturnite Alloy or even an army of Securitrons Mk VII (since there are new versions of the Securitrons in Big MT already) also made out of saturnite alloy and shooting LAER lasers instead of regular lasers, and even a much better self-fixing systems similar to the vending machines, not to consider an army of holograms, and even if all of that isnt enough, the Courier could simply ask the Think Tank to create a new variant of the Red Cloud, but being easier to control, so they could evacuate the whole Mojave and release the Gas, once Vegas was already Immune to the gas of course, so even if the BoS tried to call all other Chapters to take the Mojave, there would be nothing they could do
(sorry if my english is bad, im not american)

@@MsHarpsychord I wonder if that quest is what the Lucky 38 terminal in the sewers was for.

Dude I totally needed a vid like this the last few days thank you
Stuff like this always gets me thinking.
46:42 to add onto this, you can use a barter check to make the terms more favorable to both parties and the people of the Mojave.

Cannon ending
Expect when a wild card shows up
What I like most about the Yes Man ending is that it canonically causes chaos, plus it isn't even an independent ending, the Courier is an Autocrat just like House.

16:51 That's not Novac, that's Black Mountain. Novac is the black and orange circle to the Southeast.

A great fallout game, or maybe mod spinoff, would be the finding of the chip. It’s left kind of vague how exactly it was recovered and I imagine the story is interesting.
So fascinating watching videos about this game to this day
Great video, love this series! I'm not sure if the ending slides really reflect that but it's my headcanon😅
If I massacred the fiends, in my mind they no longer exist.
I also have a similar head canon for the good karma Institute/minutemen end where you take over the Institute and since you're solely in charge, everyone has to obey you when you say "Stop being evil and start helping the surface using your technology"
A similar line of thinking to The Blades by definition taking orders from the Dragonborn and not the other way around, so you should be able to veto Delphine when she demands you kill your greatest ally despite there being no hint of hostility from him
Best Fallout UA-camr. I blew all my caps at the Hubology hut and I've never felt more dirty. Atom save me.
My first end was messy, but if i remember correctly it was mostly a NCR victory with a healthy Mcnamara Brotherhood.
Sounds like the Chaos Courier is a canon Vault-Tec employee.
Ah yes a match between the 2 best endings (sorry ncr & legion)
In my opinion, the best ending is with the bulk of Caesar's forces in ruin an independent New Vegas run by The courier allied with the Ncr
With the efficiency and stability of the New Vegas region under the corrier. The NCR wouldn't struggle quite so much. It would be able to strengthen itself up and survive much longer

You didn't include the ending where the courier kills all the fiend leaders.
42:50 Im assuming that this is the Mr House route. As I would argue that Repairing the bot for Tabitha is the better option for Black Mountain as the inherently hostile Super Mutants and Nightkin leave, however I like to think, thanks to Neal, it does become a smaller settlement akin to Jacobstown.
@@nikik5567 Well, yeah, I was just pointing out the potential reasoning for the discrepancy between what we see, and House's voice lines. It's possible that they couldn't change his lines to better suit what the Legion would wind up being upon releade.
Assuming that Caesar is dead by the time of the Legion victory at the Hoover Dam, from what I recall, New Vegas is utterly sacked. Imagine how much worse it could be for the people present if the Legion knew concretely that the death of Caesar was directly due to House's hired goon. The Legion may not last longer than a year without Caesar, but it would remain as an effective and brutal fighting force for a time yet.
@@crusaderking8277 that’s assuming the man dies before Hoover dam, and that the courier then helps the now crippled legion win the day. Which isn’t a possible canon ending if the fallout show is canon like they say it is. The legion might become brutal tribes, but they won’t be the legion anymore.
